Such good news, Austin! TBTG!!!! Glad to see you all becoming more aware of these health things at an early age. Early testing caught my husbands colon cancer in time and my parotid gland cancer twice!! Also your dentist should be checking your mouth, throat, for these things. The kids are growing up so quickly! Lucas’s personality is really coming through. Thanks for sharing your family with this kooky world!! ❤❤

Congratulations, Austin! As others have said, going through the emotions is very normal. Adrenaline mixed with stress definitely makes emotions weird.
As far as tasting the numbing agent, I could taste it as well. I had several moles removed, the one on my back was also Basal Cell and I tasted the lidocaine. I, however, had to have it cauterized (burned) and it smelled like the charred remains on a grill from making steak, and I could taste the smell in my mouth (if that makes sense).
Speedy healing and happy day, Spomer family!

Thank you for reminding me to call and schedule an appointment with my dermatologist to have my skin checked. 😊

My husband did his MOHS surgery on his skin cancer 2 years ago and last week, my sister got to ring the bell to signify the end of her cancer treatment for head and neck cancer. My husband just gets annual checks and my sister has a bit of a way to go to start feeling better, and a 3 month wait for a scan to see if the treatment worked. Cancer is something that touches everyone we know. Thanks for sharing your story

I’m 22 and got my skin checked this past February and ended up having 3 biopsy’s done. 2 came back suspicious but they got all of it in biopsy so I’m all clear. But with my whole family having history of skin cancer, I knew it was something I needed to do. So here is your reminder to GET YOUR SKIN CHECKED!! It doesn’t matter if you’re young, get it checked!!
