For many people, this life is their purgatory.

The problem is, many don't accept it. I'd rather live it now and go straight to heaven.

There's no purgatory as scripture says He will change us in a twinkling of an eye:
1 Cor 15:51-53 KJV Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Yes, we need to lay down sin in this life, with the help of the Holy Spirit, but He will complete the work.
1 Pe 5:10 KJV But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Speaking of indulgence, there is a plenary indulgence for everyone who goes to confession and then receives the Holy Communion tomorrow, which is the feast of (Divine) Mercy. Promise of Jesus to St. Faustina.

    • @dixieflyer2012

Although going to confession will wipe all sin, the temporal punishment will not be wiped. You still have to pay for your punishments on this planet. If you were to die right after confession with all these punishments unpaid for, you would actually go to purgatory. Luckily you can do your purgatory on Earth by doing plenary and partial indulgences. 1. Go to confession 2. Receive communion 3. Say an our father and hail Mary and glory be for the pope and 4. Have ZERO sin on your souls. Not even vienal. Not one bad thought. (This is the simple version). Look up more on TH-cam

@@irisrosannamerlecamilleri7647 On simple terms, a plenary indulgence is a straight pass to Heaven, no stops in purgatory, solid salvation with no need to pay for unpaid sins, therefore, plenary indulgence is the absolute pay for any sins already committed and not paid for, but you need to be in grace to redeem a plenary indulgence [have confessed sins you have ABANDONED. It's itself a mortal sin to confess a mortal sin you intend to keep committing, such as lying, fornicating, porn, masturbating, dishonoring your parents, stealing etc., pray for the pope - eg Our Father + Hail Mary - and have a comunion to fulfill the indulgence]. Just as amazing is that you can offer indulgences in someone else's behalf too. If you're consacrated to Mary Immaculate though, you do the indulgences and She's the one to pass them to the person She sees fit, living or dead [with the obvious exception of people already in hell. Or in Heaven, of course]. Btw yours is a beautiful name.

I’m not scared of purgatory nearly as much as Hell. One is permanent and one is a trial and a trial you will beat. It means God heals had mercy on your soul and is giving you a path to refine and clean it before you are allowed to enter paradise. If anyone can link a video of John bosco talking about the best ways to avoid such a horrible fate please do. I need something to reassure me in my journey through life that Jesus won’t give up on me and I don’t want to give up on him and disappoint him above all things.

I'm not Catholic but was invited to a ministry owned by a catholic brother.. He's into deliverance, there's a crucifix and I don't believe in Catholicism, somehow I managed to get to the crucifix because, I saw people praying Infront of it. Since then I have been in flames, I thought I was a Christian.. the next is I saw myself in the tribunal of God and the accusers . It's a horrible experience I was burning while I'm living and every sin I committed was coming one after the other... I was thought also how to remit the whole sin. And be cleansed I say the 40 to 60 decades of rosary daily with fasting... It hasn't been easy for the past 22 months. Even the purgatory isn't funny.

The 7 prayers of Saint Bridget carrey a promise from Jesus to Saint bridget that the soul who prays them will suffer no purgatory. The prayers also offer various other promises. I highly reccomend it, its a short daily prayer for 12 years and its worth every second. The 15 prayers of saint bridget are also really good. Jesus told Saint bridget that if you pray these prayers every day for a year you will have honorerd every wound of my body. It also carries some promises.
