Very good start. I meditate on the Devine Mercy picture and also read the stations of the cross every Friday at 3 p.m. sometimes, I read it everyday if time permits.
Good plan. God bless you. My hubby passed 10 years ago. He was 51. I was 45 then. For 10 years now, I have been offering mass for him EVERY WEEK. When I die, my son will do the same for me.
You very well may be, but don't assume this. Continue to pray for the Holy Souls, confess your sins, and ask you loved ones to pray for you after you die.
I have been taught to pray for the souls in purgatory. I pray for my love ones and family who died and I pray for the poor military persons who died unexpectedly in battle.
I pray the St Gertrude prayer at every meal. Also 15 minutes of Bible Reading is a plenary indulgence fast way for the church suffering to get released.
I haven’t seen it on here, but the True Letter of Jesus Christ is so beautiful and good and Jesus promises to free us from the pains of Purgatory if we fulfill what He commands in the letter. It’s essentially completing 1 Pater, Ave, and Gloria twice a day every single day for three years straight and He promises to free us from Purgatory and a couple of other things as well. I’d say it’s a pretty easy way to avoid Purgatory and I’m using a physical calendar to check off that I fulfill these prayers every single day. It’s also helpful to contemplate the blood Jesus shed for us which I say as a helpful suggestion.
The name Finch was the maiden name of my mother.. I made the Heroic Act when I became a Catholic at the age of 20. I am now 80. God bless you and yours 🙏😊
Eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of thy divine son Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family Amen
Thank You for posting the St Gertrude prayer I have it typed and will make many copies and start giving them out to as many people as possible in churches I will visit in 2022 .🌅⛪🌅😊
This is an awesome prayer that should be prayed multiple times throughout the day. Pretty much if I hear the word purgatory or Holy souls or if it pops in my head, even if I’m in a conversation I will excuse myself and do this quick prayer. Plus at night and after my Rosary I will pray this because those Holy Souls need our help. What got me to really think about the Holy Souls was St Faustinas book. We can all pray for them. Plus I’m gonna talk to my Church office and pay to have masses said for them. We need to help them as much as possible. Another thing I’m gonna do is write a letter so that when I die, if they do a eulogy, to have this letter read and basically tell people to pray for me to get me out of purgatory. I am striving for Heaven but I want people to realize that very very few go direct to Heaven so chances are (as long as I’m in a state of Grace) I will be in purgatory. If I happen to be one of the elect that go direct to Heaven, then God will use those prayers however he wants. But I do not want anyone thinking at my funeral that I am directly in Heaven, I will get what I deserve at judgement and considering that I am a miserable sinner, I will have to be cleansed. We can do our best now through acts of reparations, 1st Friday and 1st Saturday devotion, offering up our Holy Eucharist as reparation, fasting, taking any “bad” moment and doing good at it and offer that up in reparation for our sins and conversion of sinners. Sorry for going on a rant but reparations is not nearly talked enough about, and it’s so great to do reparations now, because we’ll either pay now or pay later, I’d rather pay now cuz this life is nothing timewise in relation to eternity.
@@skanderberg8701 no doubt bro and yea we all need to do many reparations, for ourselves and for all people who offend God through the multiple sins of our sinful world. The Golden Arrow prayer is a great prayer of reparation for the many blasphemies against the Holy name of God and the Lord’s Day. Because we love God so much and want to make up for horrible atrocities done against him on a daily basis. Think of it like this, if no one in the world did any mortal sin and only one venial sin a day that would be like 8 billion venial sins a day, 8 billion offenses against Holy God! That’s insane when you think about it, a good way to think about it is if your child talked back once a day, after a while it would upset you a lot. That’s why it’s so important to work on having no sin at all, even venial. It’s tough but doable. So that’s why it’s so important to do reparations daily, at least a minimum of a prayer of reparation daily. You can find some on the internet, just type in prayer of reparation.

Based off of the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, and the Lord's Prayer, I would say a simple way to avoid Purgatory would be to forgive all trespasses and debts toward us. I believe Heaven is perfect Communion with God, but people who aren't willing to forgive debts to others aren't able to commune with God when He wants to forgive their temporal debts (if that makes sense). You can know you are forgiving if you say prayers for the people you are tempted to hate, in order to help them avoid hell and purgatory. This is something I haven't heard many people say so I was wondering if anyone had thoughts/objections to this idea.
This makes sense because Jesus said to love your enemies and pray for those who spitefully use you. The more I hear about Purgatory and Hell, the more I want to pray that myself and others do not go to either place. In fact I believe that the Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a very good prayer. I first heard about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy while at the Philippines. Every day at 3 PM, television shows gave way to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Since then I have my phone alarm set to alert me to start this prayer.
j...peregrin, My understanding of Purgatory, is as it states in the Bible nothing unclean can enter heaven. Even though we go to Confession and beg God's forgiveness of sins and God in his mercy and love forgives us there is still the measure of atonement. E.g., a child brakes a window with a cricketball, even though he has been pre-warned not to play cricket in the front yard. The child says they are sorry, the Father forgives him but there is still the price to be paid to fix the window, and the act of deliberate disobedience to the Father. The child must pay his Father back the cost of the window otherwise the child will not learn it is better to be obedient to the FATHER and avoid what is now going to take the child many chores to pay for the price of the window.
Yes you are right, this is in the way of Charity and GOD's Mercy and Lord's Prayer. It is essential to do but I this: to forgive and pray for our enemies, I have not done it completely. It requires extraordinary charity, humility, and selflessness. This is one reason why many people who die can't go to Heaven but go to Purgatory . We need to pray for the grace to forgive all and pray for those who act as enemies against us . It's Very hard to do this so we can make sacrifices and pray the rosary to help us .
Thank you Brother, its truly the most easiest way to avoid purgatory,as you mentioned. I would like to add a few more: In the Pieta prayer booklet, 1)The 15 prayers of St.Bridget of Swedenfor a year. 2)2Our Fathers,2Hail Mary's and 2Glory be for the Precious blood of Jesus Christ, lost on the way to calvary for 3 years 3)Three very beautiful prayers in the Pieta prayer booklet, can be prayed for any dying soul. 4)Divine mercy Chaplet for the dying. I've heard these above ,also help a soul to avoid purgatory especially the Three beautiful prayers for the dying is very helpful. Thank you ,Stay blessed always
Would recommend the Pieta Prayerbook. Someone gave me one over 35 years ago and although I have done different devotions along the way, I always go back to the prayers in that booklet. Praise God daily.

I had not heard of FINCH, although I am a devotee of the Divine Mercy. Good to know. I typically make a yearly pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge MA. But through the grace of God I've been to where St Faustina lived and spread the image of the Divine Mercy in Poland and in Lithuania. Thanks be to God🙏🙏🙏 So through the Consecration to Jesus through Mary I thought we let our Blessed Mother Mary decide how our prayers should be used, also. I turn them all over to her the Blessed Virgin.
Wow. I already have a devotion to the Divine Mercy and was planning for the first time to participate fully in Divine Mercy Sunday this year. But I did not know about the other things discussed in this video, especially the heroic offering, and I am blown away. Thank you for these videos. I have learned a lot that I did not know!
Definitely peace of heart.. I'm not very far from 80, so that's really good information for me.. I've known of this before but it's good to be reminded again. So thanks a lot. I'm a convert to the Catholic Church. When I was 20 I'm married to Catholic, and I took 8 months of private instructions having come from the Episcopal Church. My sister and I were the only converts to the Catholic faith in the family. God bless you and yours and everyone dear to your heart. ❤️👑🙏🌹😇
Dear Patricia so happy to hear your story ! Just be the child of Our Holy Mother ask her to be jealous of you and to keep you as her own ! Will pray for you my dear sister !
Thank you. I appreciate your insight on 3 ways to avoid Purgatory: 1. Divine Mercy Sunday 2. Ask Jesus to send you your Purgatory here on earth 3. The Heroic Act of Charity (offering all blessings for the Poor Souls in Purgatory)
Have you heard about the Flame of Love movement where words are added to the Hail Mary. During the month of November it will release 10 souls per Hail Mary. Check it out.
One thing that bothers me- I'm currently caring for a hospice patient, and the TLM I usually go to is 15 miles away, but I need to stay close to home, so I sometimes have to go to Confession at the N.O. church that's less than 3 miles away- The last time I went there, my total penance was one Our Father, with no words, no advice, nothing- Totally different from my TLM church.
Thank you for the video. I don’t know if that can avoid us of Purgatory but I think it would also be good to talk about total consecration to Jesus through Mary. God bless you.
Just wanted to add praying the Holy Rosary daily. It is listed on the 15 promises in praying the Holy Rosary devoutly. The prayer of Reparation is another one. Pray every night prior to going to sleep.
You mentioned the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. They also offer a blue scapular. It is hardly known but this order does it. It takes a few more steps than the brown one but they say DAILY Mass for those wearing it and those who wear it promise to pray one of two prayers for the Holy Souls, either the 10 Evangelical Virtues of Mary or the Divine Mercy chaplet
Thought of purgatory makes me so fearful and despairing. Some teachings are more positive like St Therese Little Flower and St Faustina . Then u have the brimstone and fire Saints of old that totally make me say why would God have even allowed me to be born if this is true! For those with severe depression at most times it’s just too much to handle mentally
God judges us wisely - he doesn’t judge us all the same “to whom more has been given - more will be expected” - so don’t despair - if he has given someone less - less will be asked - AND - take advantage of Divine Mercy Sunday -
I agree. I have terrible anxiety and depression problems. I have to be incredibly careful of what (Catholic videos) I watch or read I will spiral into a full blown panic attack. A healthy fear of the Lord is really good but there is so much that one human being can take. I have sunk into months of depression because of fire and brimstone Catholic videos that have snatched away all hope from my soul. Some of these old saints claim that hardly anyone is saved -- they seem to delight in this for some reason -- and that is mind boggling to me. Fear of the Lord is one thing, but to remove all hope from someone is evil. God in his Providence has revealed many amazing graces like the Sacred Heart devotion and the Divine Mercy devotion especially for the end times. I trust in the mercy of Our Lord and Our Lady before I trust any of these grim-faced saints and some of the Church Fathers who are extremely negative. If you are anxious like me, please get enrolled in the Brown Scapular devotion and wear it every day along with saying the Rosary. I am also doing the 12 Year Prayers Given to St. Getrude by Our Lord.
Both the 1 year prayer of St. Bridget which covers all the wounds Christ received (5,000+) and the 12 year pray of St. Bridget come with a promise of no purgatory. I have finished the one year prayer and I am on year 3 (almost) of the 12 year. I thought I needed to do both! Blessings to you and yours in the Christmas time. Viva Cristo Rey!
@@UniquelyMary the one year prayer,. being much longer than the 12 year prayer, was difficult, yet desiring to avoid purgatory and see God quickly, I started the prayer about 4 times, finally in 2020 I managed to complete it. i am daily praying the 12 year prayer now, which is easier but a longer commitment. I also pray the daily rosary, the Auxilium Christianorum prayer, the Divine Mercy chaplet, the Holy Face chaplet, the prayer of St. Benedict, mass at least 3 times per week, I sing in a men's schola at Latin Mass and read Godly literature daily. I am retired and have plenty of time to do these things. I was away from God for many years, I feel I need to make up for that discrepancy...Viva Cristo Rey!
The life offering is a good way also which may be the what the narrator is talking about. Our lady makes 5 promises to those who offer their lives and sufferings when the come that they will not know purgatory. A little booklet about this devotion was written by Fr Stephen Foglein which has a picture of Our Lady with little hearts in an apron on the front cover. Great little book and I have made the pledge to offer my life and sufferings when they come. I never ask for sufferings but if they come I accept them and offer them up. 🙂
@@annpauley144 Hi the book is titled - life offering, a call to be a quiet modern apostle - to the sacred heart through the immaculate heart. It has a picture on the front cover with our lady holding lots of little hearts in her apron and giving them or receiving them from the sacred heart. Hope this helps.
Thank you, for all your explanation. This is new to me, I just heard it. I definitely would love to follow it, but I want to be totally ready. I prayed to do all my purgatory on earth about 30 years ago. I woke up the next day with a new cross. I was often given the choice to withdraw my decision but thanks be to God I renewed it. I still renew it no matter what and I would encourage everyone to do it. In many respects, it is about freedom through the cross, it is nothing to fear. Make no mistake about it, God will take you at your word. If it is too hard, you can always ask God to stop.
Popes, in the Enchiridion of Indulgences, have granted faithful Catholics who die in the state of grace and have been in the habit of saying some prayers throughout their life, PLENARY INDULGENCE AT THE MOMENT OF DEATH. (A get out of Purgatory Free card)

Our lord promise When you say * 2 Our Father, 2 Hail Mary, 2 Glory be every day for 3 years* by adoring Every 28430 drops of blood our lord shed Your will be rewarded these promises: 1. The plenary indulgence and remittance of your sins. 2. You will be free from the pains of Purgatory. 3. If you should die before completing the said 3 years, for you it will be the same as if you had completed them. 4. It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your blood for the Holy Faith. 5. I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your relatives, until the fourth generation.
I don't think the Heroic Offering entails a loss of merit. One's merit cannot be alienated. It means all one's suffrages and indulgences, which could go to shortening one's own time in Purgatory will go to help others. I'm not taking the risk of having a lower place in Heaven. I'm taking the risk of spending more time in Purgatory knowing that God said "blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
There is no "risk" that we will die without anything for ourselves! When we entrust ourselves to Mary and give everything to her, how does one even think that we will be bankrupt? Is Mary the Mother of God a user, tossing us aside after she has taken all that belongs to us for others?? No. When our time comes to be in need, Our Lady will tenderly remember us and provide for us as we have so freely offered what was ours for others' benefit. She cannot be outdone in generosity!
Well, very true... but also, God, Himself, will not be outdone in generosity. It's a win, win, win, win situation when we sincerely give our everything for the souls in purgatory thru Mary. Our Triune GOD glorified, Our Mother Mary is honored, the poor souls are relieved and we are saved. Also the holy souls who are assisted into heaven via our sacrifice will not be outdone in praying for us and our intentions and especially those powerful Marian souls.🤗
I feel Jesus or the Holy Spirit speaks to me. Because things that come to my mind I later find a Saint said it was true. Or a Saint confirmed what I thought or came to my mind.

More and more as I watch your videos inspired by the Holy Spirit, Salvation process, why Jesus came, my own responsibility, becomes clearer and Clearer. Like a wedding feast, Adams fall, closed the gate permanently into the feast Hall. But Jesus threw his death and resurrection obtained for us a permanent Invitation Card or Gate-Pass. But it is my duty to wash my wedding garment, keep it clean from stain, put on and then come to the feast. So, when people ask, what did Jesus come to do then, or why did he die if at the end we must pass thru purification. This is it, to get us a permanent Gate-Pass. But he won't be the one to make us come, or put in us the desire, nor fix our garment for us. That's our responsibility. So anyone who gets to the Gate of the feast will always desire to get in, but you must get purified. So it's either you get ur garment ready, sparkling pure and stainless before you leave your location (earth) or at the dry cleaning section (purgatory) This is it...its clear to me. Weldone bro. I.k watching from Nigeria.

Thank goodness the thief on the cross went straight to heaven with Jesus...despite all his sins!!! The Lord said to the thief: (because you believe in ME that I am the Messiah)..."today you will be with ME in paradise" Amen Lord. Save us we humbly pray. We know that YOU are the Christ !!!
@@tabandken8562 Yea...I think I remember something said like that in a movie.... I looked it up again. You are correct...in Luke... The thief told the other..."But this man has done nothing wrong..."...and then...."Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom"...and Jesus said.."I tell you the truth, today you will be with ME in paradise. The lesson here is that Jesus graviously rewarded the thief who believed in the Lord's "kingdom"... This should be a lesson for most catholics...that it's not always about works...simple faith and profession that Jesus is the Christ go a long way... Otherwise...people would say....that's not fair...what about all my works!!! Lol I think the Lord made sure this example got into the bible for good reason.
I would meditate on what the good thief was going through when he proclaimed his faith in Jesus - he made it look easy - deceptively easy - imagine what you might feel if you were crucified and humiliated in front of everyone - many people would say “God I hate you!” - there must have been more things to the good thief that we don’t know -
@@UniquelyMary Often people will point out the thief who went to heaven from the cross and say that it means they will go straight to heaven, too. They don't see that this was a special situation and that we don't know all the facts.
Thanks for all these. And what about obeying the greatest commandment of love ( pure) of God and neighbour..... The last judgement will be based on this.
Re Divine Mercy, the catch is making a GOOD confession which is the HARD part - intending not to repeat confessed sins and being sincerely repentant, which is a kind of pledge of at least actively seeking detachment from sin if not actually committing to detachment from the sin.
Don’t fall into the trap of scrupulosity. We certainly must not deliberately withhold sins in the confessional. However, the confession need not be perfect. Nor do we need to be perfectly sorrowful for our sins (i.e. motivated primarily by fear of Hell and less by remorse over offending God). To think that our confession must be flawlessly delivered in order to be valid is to lack trust in God’s mercy.
What's, to say, someone who combines all three at once? Can one essentially take someone else's place in Purgatory if they suffer their own Purgatory on Earth and present a Heroic Offering?
What if you have just began your journey into becoming Catholic and you're not fully in the Catholic church yet how do you obtain this Grace? I am baptised and I am becoming Catholic from being a Protestant
I don't know about some of Faustina's visions. In paragraph 916-17 she sneaks into a hospital room and baptizes a Jewish woman in a coma who is about to die. She waits until her visiting Jewish relatives have left her room, presumably because they would stop her. As soon as they leave and she is alone with the woman, she baptizes her just before she dies. Then Faustina sees her soul going straight up to heaven. HOWEVER, church canon law prohibits the baptism of adults against their will or who have never expressed any intention of being Catholic. This was certainly the case here since Faustina waited until she could be alone the woman, and baptize her in secret without permission. You can't die a Muslim, Mormon or Jehovah Witness and wake up in heaven a Catholic.
Just because someone is a saint doesn’t mean that they did everything perfectly. Anyone of us at any given point could be breaking this, or that again in law, or teaching of Jesus. But it could still be the case that the person was in fact, a saint. So she may have been mistaken, and what she did, but perhaps she wasn’t mistaken in her intention.
@@UniquelyMary Whose intention? The woman and her relatives were dead set against her baptism and Faustina must have known that. Which is why Faustina intentionally waited until the woman's Jewish relatives had left. The point is that many visions of saints are taken to be dogmatic. When, in fact, they are, by definition, private revelations subject to error and therefore worthy of human faith, at best. This was illustrated in the 1998 Encyclical "Fides et Ratio" by John Paul II. While he was a future saint, he still made some theological errors during his pontificate. For example, in the encyclical Evangelium Vitae (n.99), JPII reassured the mothers of aborted babies that they were now in heaven. Well, we don't know if that's true, so Ratzinger, then head of the CDF, had to publish an amended edition of the encyclical. With respect to Faustina, Canon Law of 1918 - in force at the time - didn't allow the baptism of deathbed adults - unless they had displayed in the past at least some intention or interest in being baptized. (Of course, that rule doesn't apply to children before the age of reason.)
@@smugglednews7453 Canon Law would have required Faustina to make a positive inquiry to determine that the woman had displayed at least some intention of being baptized. But Faustina deliberately waited until the relatives had left, so she must either have known the woman's Jewish relatives would oppose the baptism, or the patient herself would refuse it. Had there been any intention, surely the woman herself would have left some indication at some point in her life.
I don’t limit myself to believe or accept things that are public revelation - since it’s the case that we are allowed to reject private revelation it’s implied that we’re allowed to accept it - some people throw around that phrase “private revelation” as if it’s an insult - I could care less - if I think its beautiful and I think it’s true - I believe it follow what it’s teaching - the church allows it and I’m doing it…
I think the Divine Mercy Sunday situation is very confusing. My understanding is that the Church has granted a Plenary Indulgence -- "under the usual conditions" -- on Divine Mercy Sunday. I know there is some private revelation in St. Faustina's diary that implies something more than that, but it's my understanding that the Church maintains the authority to interpret that and to bind and loose and this is what was set forth.
The church has not declared Divine Mercy Sunday as an indulgence - it has approved the revelations as they are and declared them authentic - therefore - it’s how I described it -
Here is perhaps more information. www.thedivinemercy.org/articles/mercy-sundays-special-graces-plenary-indulgence-are-they-same I’m practical about things - just because something is “private revelation” doesn’t mean I dismiss it as “not necessary” - rather I take full advantage of what Jesus is trying to offer without any fear of doing anything wrong - because how can it possibly be harmful to celebrate divine mercy - also - many many things that we do all the time - came from private devotions - the sacred heart of jesus - for instance - but would someone doubt that? Or find it confusing ? No! It’s because part of the public fabric of our faith.
You need to do a video on Theresa The Little Flower, her way is almost as easy as Divine Mercy Sunday to avoid purgatory (if you haven't made a video already on her way to avoid purgatory)?
Please quote the Scriptures. There is no mention on purgatory. On the contrary it talks about judgement. Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. 2 Peter 2:9 Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, 1 Peter 1:17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,

@@seanmcelroy9774 wow. Well said. Even I have to do many reparations
Thank you lord.

I would like to add a few more:
In the Pieta prayer booklet,
1)The 15 prayers of St.Bridget of Swedenfor a year.
2)2Our Fathers,2Hail Mary's and 2Glory be for the Precious blood of Jesus Christ, lost on the way to calvary for 3 years
3)Three very beautiful prayers in the Pieta prayer booklet, can be prayed for any dying soul.
4)Divine mercy Chaplet for the dying.

Yes sister , every prayer when prayed in faith and believing it's already done in Jesus name and with Thanksgiving and Praise in every step of our lives ,then it is DONE, Amen
Thanks be to God🙏🙏🙏
So through the Consecration to Jesus through Mary I thought we let our Blessed Mother Mary decide how our prayers should be used, also.
Did you go, to divine mercy Sunday?
Fascinating video! May God have mercy on us and all souls in Purgatory.
It takes a lot of courage to do what you did - congratulations - I'm sure you love being Catholic - keep praying for those you love to enter the faith

Have you heard about the Flame of Love movement where words are added to the Hail Mary. During the month of November it will release 10 souls per Hail Mary. Check it out.
The real key to holiness is to do the will of God.
Welcome to N.O. land.
I think that was your penance.

Just wanted to add praying the Holy Rosary daily. It is listed on the 15 promises in praying the Holy Rosary devoutly. The prayer of Reparation is another one. Pray every night prior to going to sleep.

Let's empty purgatory.......
Thank you Alvaro pls pray for me and my family.
Thank you for sharing such a great message. The Holy Souls need our prayers and pray for us upon their release. God bless you 🙏 🙏🙏✝️💜
Thought of purgatory makes me so fearful and despairing.
Trust in Divine Mercy and take advantage of that Devotion - and repeat the prayer “Jesus, I trust in you” - trust in Jesus is the antidote to anxiety
Perhaps I can help you overcome your anxiety and depression?

I still renew it no matter what and I would encourage everyone to do it. In many respects, it is about freedom through the cross, it is nothing to fear. I think you mean "prophets".
I believe this is what I said or at least meant in the video - we actually can’t give away our merit it’s purely personal
Beautiful explanation!
Also the holy souls who are assisted into heaven via our sacrifice will not be outdone in praying for us and our intentions and especially those powerful Marian souls.🤗
...hence, The Catholic Church; there's no place like Home!
Thank you brother
Don't forget that the Divine Mercy Feast requirements include being merciful to others.
I feel Jesus or the Holy Spirit speaks to me. Because things that come to my mind I later find a Saint said it was true. Or a Saint confirmed what I thought or came to my mind.

I would really love to hear your thoughts about the 7 sorrows of Mary Rosary. One of her promises is to take us straight to heaven
So it's either you get ur garment ready, sparkling pure and stainless before you leave your location (earth) or at the dry cleaning section (purgatory)
This is it...its clear to me.

Amen Lord.
Lol
I think the Lord made sure this example got into the bible for good reason.
I would meditate on what the good thief was going through when he proclaimed his faith in Jesus - he made it look easy - deceptively easy - imagine what you might feel if you were crucified and humiliated in front of everyone - many people would say “God I hate you!” - there must have been more things to the good thief that we don’t know -
@@UniquelyMary yes i totally agree. His purgatory time was his crucifixion and that was not an easy thing.
@@UniquelyMary Often people will point out the thief who went to heaven from the cross and say that it means they will go straight to heaven, too. They don't see that this was a special situation and that we don't know all the facts.
The thief has to be cleansed first before going to heaven. God is pure and sin does not belong is heaven.

Amen
What's, to say, someone who combines all three at once? Can one essentially take someone else's place in Purgatory if they suffer their own Purgatory on Earth and present a Heroic Offering?
What if you have just began your journey into becoming Catholic and you're not fully in the Catholic church yet how do you obtain this Grace? I am baptised and I am becoming Catholic from being a Protestant
Consecration to the Blessed Mother might also be a good idea to replace number 3, maybe?
Could it not be conditional assuming their disposition was to consent?
I don’t limit myself to believe or accept things that are public revelation - since it’s the case that we are allowed to reject private revelation it’s implied that we’re allowed to accept it - some people throw around that phrase “private revelation” as if it’s an insult - I could care less - if I think its beautiful and I think it’s true - I believe it follow what it’s teaching - the church allows it and I’m doing it…
Where can I read accounts of option 2, ‘asking for purgatory in this life’?
What about having a devotion to the brown scapular and the rosary and the Sabatine promise?
I think the Divine Mercy Sunday situation is very confusing. My understanding is that the Church has granted a Plenary Indulgence -- "under the usual conditions" -- on Divine Mercy Sunday. I know there is some private revelation in St. Faustina's diary that implies something more than that, but it's my understanding that the Church maintains the authority to interpret that and to bind and loose and this is what was set forth.
The church has not declared Divine Mercy Sunday as an indulgence - it has approved the revelations as they are and declared them authentic - therefore - it’s how I described it -
Here is perhaps more information. www.thedivinemercy.org/articles/mercy-sundays-special-graces-plenary-indulgence-are-they-same
I’m practical about things - just because something is “private revelation” doesn’t mean I dismiss it as “not necessary” - rather I take full advantage of what Jesus is trying to offer without any fear of doing anything wrong - because how can it possibly be harmful to celebrate divine mercy - also - many many things that we do all the time - came from private devotions - the sacred heart of jesus - for instance - but would someone doubt that? Or find it confusing ? No! It’s because part of the public fabric of our faith.
prayer leads to conversion, conversion leads to God -- I saw this in my life
You need to do a video on Theresa The Little Flower, her way is almost as easy as Divine Mercy Sunday to avoid purgatory (if you haven't made a video already on her way to avoid purgatory)?
Can the saints of heaven pray for the souls in purgatory?
Very good question.
Please quote the Scriptures. There is no mention on purgatory. On the contrary it talks about judgement.
Hebrews 9:27
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.
2 Cor 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
2 Peter 2:9
Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
1 Peter 1:17
And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,
The middle one. Dodson call it the Herwood Offer?
