I never want to do this again.
    Had to do 2 eye.
It was horrible. Having irritated eye for days. Headake. (I was putting the recommended fluids in my eye on the correct time).
And when the first eye finally started to get less irritated. I had to do the second eye.
I just had migrans and irritated eyes for 5 weeks straight.
(Opperations were put close together to win some time. Needed them before starting my new job.)
I hate that i can't go out without my lenses but at least i can see with them.
Edit. I see that a command I made some time ago is gone. So I'm riding it here.
For someone who is advised (by an specialist eye doctor)to do this. Just do the surgery. The few weeks of displeasure is worth it. Losing your eye-side is much worse than than a few weeks op displeasure.
The eye surgery that you see here on the video doesn't make you see better. But it makes your cornea stronger/harder, so it shouldn't deform any further. And it should stop your vision from getting worse. It is not improve your vision. It to prevent it from getting worse
If you where fast enough with this surgery maybe you can do without lenses.
This was not in my case. A machine measured my eyes at at some places on my eye I had -10 en other places +7 and everything in between.
I advice if you go to buy glasses, don't get the eye's measurement from the glasses salesmen. Go to an eye doctor. For sure, when someone else in your family got the sickness that your cornea deformes.
In my case It is a genetic sickness. My great-grandmother was blind at some point in her life. It skipped my grandmother's and mother's generation, and I got it.
From maybe 13 to 17, I used glasses of -0.75. From 17 to 20, -1 one eye and -1.5 the other eye. Those glasses were not strong enough any more. So i when to buy new ones, The glasses salesmen couldn't understand why de result of the eye measurement where so random. And advised us to go to an eye doctor. The eye doctor realised what was happening with my eyes and sent me to the hospital where there were specialist in this field and so I ended up with this surgery and my first pair of lenses.

My vision didn't get better but that is not the funtion of this opperation. This opperation hardens the cornea so it doesn't get worse.
I had the opperation about a year ago. My vision hasn't gotten worse. But that not really something you really notisch, a vision getting very sligtly worse over time. (The brain really does it best to get the most clear vision. I started wearing special lenses a month after the opperation. My brain was really trained on producing a clear vision from the information my eyes gave. So when i started waering lenses the brain stop doing that because with the lenses it didn't need to do that. But now without lenses i see way worse because my brain doesn't process the eye info so hard anymore.)
      So
If you got a misforming cornea. Get the opperation as fast as possible because it only get worse.
(there are other solutions like cornea transplants. )
I'm not en eye doctor. I'm just a guy on the internet with a special cornea sickness. The eye doctors will have the best information. And they will have the best idea what is best for you.

Had this procedure done in both eyes at once. Didn't hurt at all until later when the ryes felt irritated and tender.
I'm gladnI got it bc my cornea isnor was close to ripping from one eye and because of that I can't get scleral lenses.

@@grimreaper4675 it’s very painful because I have hydrops in one eye they said I need surgery ASAP . Same for my left eye as it’s at risk so I’m having cross linking in my left eye and surgery on my right to get rid of my hydrops but they said I was be asleep when it’s done. It will possibly be in 2 weeks time now but I’m scared

@@grimreaper4675 hiya I had my cross linking done on my left eye and because my keratoconus was worse in my right eye I had a corneal hydrop it was very high and the most painful thing ever. So I had the gas injecting for the right eye. I was asleep during the surgery which I was happy about. After I woke up from surgery I had no pain in my right but I’m left eye that hurt for 4 days. So the eye doctor gave me medication to heal my left eye and it healed under a week and pain stopped. So the pain for my left hurt for two days ( cross linking). My vision in my left eye has improved gracefully. Now for my right it hurt longer than the left eye. It was abit red , hard to see you and sensitive to light. The medication has helped a lot and my corneal hydrops has gone so small it’s starting to go away because at first the hydrops was covering my whole eye. And my doctor did say he’s had patients who had corneal hydrops but mine was the worst and I’m quite lucky they was able to fix it but anyway for my right eye. It was painful to sleep , had to take tablets but it’s been nearly two weeks now and the pain is starting to go away. As my right eye was my bad eye the blurryness is starting to go away and my vision has improved a lot. So overall the surgery was worth it. My eye doctor also said if my corbels hydrops didn’t improve then they would have had to do the gas injection again. But lucky for me it has improved so I don’t need corneal transplant and I got to go to my two weeks follow up appointment in a weeks time but honestly I’m so happy with the results.
