HA! Indeed mine were pretty bad off, but have already been replaced a couple years back before I was doing videos. Sadly, I only have a couple before and after pics. They similarly pull straight off and push on though, for installation start with the seal pushed as far as it will go into the front corner and work your way backward.

@@NC944er Doesn’t look that straight forward though! th-cam.com/video/tbW2NBj7x-o/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for the tip, mine was most likely glued by the previous « mechanic » so I’m in for a treat

@@Krappolol Oh wow! Yeah, I didn’t don’t encounter any of those issues. I also did not remove or replace the metal clips, just reused my original ones. Not sure if maybe that made it easier to push the new seals on.

I look forward to the day when my 944 can look even half as tidy as yours.

It’s totally possible! I’m four years in and about $10,000 in parts costs. I should probably stop soon as it’s becoming an unhealthy obsession. 🤣

@@NC944er That's not too bad of a price to have spent. It seems 944's are most likely to appreciate in value now, but then I suppose 944 values vary around the world - I'm in Australia where a clean running car is $30,000

@@Bbeavis Wow! Yeah, I imagine quite a different market based upon supply. I’ve talked with a 944 owner in New Zealand and I under stand they are a rare sight. It looks like I can ship my car to Australia for around $2,500 so when I’m ready to sell, look out for a shipment from me and we can split the profits. 😂

Love the videos. I do have a question if you have to time to answer. I’ve been having a problem where my battery won’t charge so I got a new battery new alternator and still not receiving even after cleaning every single ground. Any solutions? Other changes I’ve made are led dash bulbs and a new starter but I don’t see how those could cause any problems

Hey, thanks! To clarify your issue, when you say your battery won’t charge, do you have a voltage reading on the dash? Is the alternator warning light on in the dash? Does the car eventually die while driving it? Or is it that there is a battery drain and the car won’t start after sitting for awhile?

@@NC944er The car originally completely died. But now with a fully charged battery it only shows 12v and the red light on the bottom right as well as the exclamation mark at the top. Will loose charge as the car runs and Electical is operated.

@@ACEBLAD3 Gotcha! That sounds like either the alternator or the wiring. I know you replaced the alternator, but if it was a rebuilt unit it could have issues, so I’d bench test that and replace again as needed. Double check all the wiring to the back of the alternator to make sure it’s all clean and firmly connected. Then trace the wires back as far as you can and inspect for damage.
