Had someone threaten to call corporate because they decided to try and get food a few minutes before closing (closing is at 12am) and the broiler was already being taken apart to be cleaned.
This guy obviously tries to make each sandwich as best as it could be and he’s not getting paid, meanwhile at the subway near me the employee literally just throws everything on there in a messy fashion 😭
when someone loves his or her job then you basically get perfection as a result. if not then you get to see the employee's true face in the form of messy fashion or worse.

"I actually love my parents more than you can imagine" clearly she can't imagine cause they never brought her up to be a normal person, they brought her up to be a Karen.
People who have seem teens beeing manipulated into unpaid labor get kinda protective when they hear someone saying they "get paid by having a house" That's not the case and this dude is just doing it cause he likes and his parents are apparently real nice, but that is still something that makes people upset. Specially when you don't work as a teen so you can focus on studying (because your parents can provide for you), hearing about someone having/choosing to work and not getting payed is worrying. She isn't a Karen for being worried........ Maybe for going directly to the "manager"........... But that doesn't mean she doesn't know about love or whatever, chill
This is the sole definition of someone that 1) can’t mind their own business, 2) trying to bring someone who is genuinely happy down just because the they might be miserable. You handled this better than I ever would my guy. Big ups
ah America and freedom... in Europe (no idea if all countries, but most of them so), free labor is illegal. You cant just go to someone and say "yo, you are struggling, let me help you, you don't have to pay me". You cant even do that here. Yet along if you are minor, then its obv jailtime, but even if its not a minor, just an adult offering help, still a huge fine for the business.
Exactly like have they never even stepped into a family locally owned business? Every single time a family owns a business the kids usually to help out or work there too, as a casheir or to assist the cook.
Thank you for pulling the sandwich apart after cutting it instead of leaving it connected like most Subway workers do. You are a true sandwich artist, sir!
Man, this guy really loves his parents, willing to do that and still be happy is amazing. Also, I may not sub (*YET* but i might) but I will watch your vids until they stop :)
Well you're kind of an owner. It is a family business! So how you as a family manage that should be up to your management style! And I am sure you're treated better than 90% of employees in the world. So may you be blessed what you do for your family! Also big thank you to your family for raising you well and taking good care of you.
When I worked for my parents, I just asked for my wage to be put in a savings account because they were adding to my college savings anyways. I get to be written as an employee, get tax return money, and not be in a situation like this where I’m supposedly taken advantage of.
Yeah but there's something to be said about parents using their children for free labor in a store even if it's "willingly". They're parents, they have influence, and there are laws for that sort of thing. Should be, anyway.

Recently we had our carpet cleaned 🧹and the gentleman brought his son to help him . We saw his son did his best in doing what he could especially in family business under Dads rule. So we gave his son $20 tip apart from $300 price (including 4 hours labor ) . Respect well given .
Hey, I totally respect your right to work unpaid if you so choose, but I think the Karen is correct in that it actually might be illegal. At least in my state (MA), it's unlawful to work for a business unless a person is earning college credit (e.g. an internship) or getting wages. It's a law to prevent exploitation. I don't know if there are exceptions to this law for family-owned businesses, but anyway, it's just something to be mindful of so that your family doesn't end up in hot water.
He actually doesn't have a right to work unpaid if he chooses. If he works at his parents store without being employed, they're violating like, every OSHA rule in the book. If he's employed and collecting no wage at all, they're violating basically every labor law in the book, and committing minor tax fraud on top of it (taxes collected on 0% of labor is $0, after all). So yeah, it's a pretty big deal that he can't just choose to opt out of because he wants to.
In TN, it's only legal for agricultural work. If his parents wanted to do it legally, they could pay him for work, then charge him for rent. That way, they're paying taxes and not breaking laws.
A lot of people work at the family owned business and don't get "paid." It's actually quite common in my culture. You work at the family business and you don't take home a personal paycheck. It's a FAMILY business.
@Ruxis256 how it is salvery if you are doing it from you own will 😑Karen and it's your business directly or indirectly you are their freaking son or daughter . the money they make from business goes to you for your needs anyway 🤷
@Ruxis256 ok I kinda agree with you cause of multinational food chain here but if you are owning private family business and expecting salary from you own parents might be normal in us but not in India we don't expect salary cause whatever they are making is indirectly or directly ours so calling it salvery is RIDICULOUS for us and if you are not the owner son or daughter or any family member willingly want to work for free then you might expect salary that's ok in India ,i understand you point, hope you understand mine
@Ruxis256 You realize that the money earned from that store is what would pay for your food, your clothes, your housing, your water and any other thing your parent buys for you and the money they give you when you ask. it also pays for the gas you use when you drive a car and the car you drive. Also, while you are working at your parent's store, it's not your parents getting money, it's YOUR FAMILY (including you) getting money. That money is being used on you.
@@ianbrown792 Cause it feels more like you are an outsider. You are working in YOUR home, towards money that feed YOUR family. Technically, it is your money. Think about it, all the money used in the story is money used for the family.

I feel like getting someone to call corporate on you is like a rite of passage in customer service. I remember having a customer call corporate on me for refusing a return based on the company policy and I still got written up anyway lmao
That sucks! If you dont follow policy you get written up, if you do you get written up. No pleasing them.
I had someone call corporate on me because I was taking a smoke break. Literally the only reason.
Had someone threaten to call corporate because they decided to try and get food a few minutes before closing (closing is at 12am) and the broiler was already being taken apart to be cleaned.

The people who disliked are all Karen's and the sandwiches you made look so good and you give free cookies thats awesome
This guy obviously tries to make each sandwich as best as it could be and he’s not getting paid, meanwhile at the subway near me the employee literally just throws everything on there in a messy fashion 😭
Same
when someone loves his or her job then you basically get perfection as a result.
if not then you get to see the employee's true face in the form of messy fashion or worse.
meh, I got paid a nonsense salary when I worked Subway with no benefits and no health coverage. They behave as well as they're getting paid to. Customers are too entitled.
@@SherioCheers if the sandwich was messy but free, I don’t care. If I’m paying for it and it’s done the lazy way, then yeah obviously I’m not gonna like it. You want to trust the person making your food, but some people make it more difficult than it has to be
"I actually love my parents more than you can imagine"
clearly she can't imagine cause they never brought her up to be a normal person, they brought her up to be a Karen.
People who have seem teens beeing manipulated into unpaid labor get kinda protective when they hear someone saying they "get paid by having a house"
That's not the case and this dude is just doing it cause he likes and his parents are apparently real nice, but that is still something that makes people upset.
U can work for free it shd be a fam owned business
This is the sole definition of someone that 1) can’t mind their own business, 2) trying to bring someone who is genuinely happy down just because the they might be miserable.

ah America and freedom... in Europe (no idea if all countries, but most of them so), free labor is illegal.

The dumbest thing? This is his FAMILY business... meaning, if it goes under, he goes to the streets.

Same I had some yesterday and it was way better than I remember, definitely gonna back again.
"that was the most karen move to do!" 😂😂😂
Well you're kind of an owner.
Each sandwich I've seen you make has been immaculate and very generous with ingredients. You make a damn fine sandwich.
0:40 Milad "I am okay with everything going on"
Karen "YoU ArE iN TeRRibLe DaNgER YouNG MaN"
Yeah but there's something to be said about parents using their children for free labor in a store even if it's "willingly".

Yup you're 100% correct, it shouldn't have happened.
@@kingnebulous5781 so if its going towards my needs why shouldnt i just get paid?
