As a WLL member and a person who teaches basic logi whenever I see a willing new player, thanks for making a video on the container yard. Also I'm happy that my insight on the container yard was readable since I type slightly differently.
I was an active part of the Container yard in War 100, and the Yard Master in War 106. I can honestly say it was one of the most fulfilling experiences i had in foxhole logistics.
Honestly this is such a great way for trains and their benefits to be made accessible to the masses without everyone needing their own train. Just having a spot where everyone can throw their stuff knowing that it'll be picked up and transported forward to an actual useable location is great! A 13 car train can bring 780 crates of bmats to a frontline or midline depot, almost hitting the max of 1000 public crates of bmats. Especially in the hexes with no refinery but garages or factories, this is such a big help! Love you Rob!
I remember seeing the yard for the first time while passing through Red River last war, my first thought was "Who's taking up this much space?" But quickly changed my mindset after reading the signs and realising that this is such a good idea for public logi, next time i see it again I'm going to give them a hand
This is kind of similar, but in war 100 me and a small-ish group worked a train yard in Howl County where people would bring us shipping containers and other large shippables they didnt want to transport all the way to the front. We would then load up all the public cargo and freight it to Maiden's Veil several times a day. Unfortunately we still lost the war, but I believe our small group dedicated to shipping logistics played a big part.
Same! Such a great community in Foxhole! I think with games like this the proxy chat aspect helps a lot. I don't think we would have the same community if proxy chat didn't exist in this game.
This is what logi looks like in full swing It's like playing Transport fever within foxhole hahaha & i love it WLL you LEGENDS ♥ Thank you Robert for making this video.
I love the container yard. Have spent many hours cooking and filling it. War 100 we did almost non stop trains from the yard to the front, painful but worth it. - [WLL] TheNamesDave
I was in westgate and WLL kept bringing us like 300 public crates of bmats and an equal amount into their reserve. That was practically all the bmats there.
Thank you! Appreciate that! Ha whoops! Could have sworn someone said war 84 in the discord and that it was an east vs west war. My bad! War 34 is crazy! If WLL does not have some kind of 100 war anniversary for war 134 I will be very disappointed! Thanks again for your help with this video!
i remember contributing a lot to public crate supplies to the containers whenever i finished cooking my bmats, the transition from salvage field->factories->container yard is incredibly smooth that the container yard seems like an actual world building sometimes
Nice! And yes I love how it adds to the world as well! Which is why I wish there were few more of these around! I think during north vs south one container yard in the 4 corners and maybe even one in the back middle would be awesome!
I've been doing Logi out of Weathering Halls this war. WLL have basically set up a defacto camp outside the town. What struck me most was how willing the clan was to teach me, a returning player (back when the most advanced logistics you ever had was a flatbed, containers and cranes). Their humble attitudes and their willingess to show me the rope to the new systems despite their bustling around really inspired me. Although their container yard this time was a little on the smaller side, it still maintained what it set out to do: Give any logi players an easier time to get their stuff out to the front. 07 Keep cooking!

Had to look up Port Tobasco after reading this. It's absolutely amazing how the logi community loves to break this game's built in limiters. DIY scrap port with Port Tobasco, "Who needs warehouses" in this video, and the public access shipyard mentioned in another 7 wonders of Foxhole vid

Ha! Should check it out some time when there is a normal north vs south war! Oh wow! Congrats! How many hours total to build it do you think? Well done!
@@RobertLovesGames was trying for about 10 hours a day since day one of the war so like 160ish maybe not really sure. I made sure to have everything done that i could before each fac tier came out so like all the ass mats and cmats, then when tier 2 came out farmed the rare metal for a naval pad then got everything else done so when harvesters came out the grand farm could really begin. The rare metal farming was one of the most painful things ive done in foxhole since the worst field i farmed was 12 rare and the best 218, the worst day farming i got less than 200 total but the best day i gathered over 500 total i think.

After trains were teched, I assembled a container yard on the east side of town where Regiment trains picked up the Salvage to ship to Tine. At that point I was collecting not only from Ogmaran's Mines but also Headstone's to increase production to 16 containers per hour. As I was soloing most of this I got burnt out after about 2 weeks of it sadly. The main problem I had doing this was sometimes not having any containers to fill. Either cause I filled all I had available or no one swapped out containers (empty for a full) leaving me with none and having to get Bmats to hammer more.

It would be great if we could get something like this going for actual human soldiers, a network of mustering and rolling out points one hex back from the line where one could gather and roll out strong with friends- A place to get into a squad with a big truck, 🛻 a reggo truck🚛, a couple bmat based towed weapons, and preloaded with enough supplies to put up at least an encampment. Some kind of recon or command vehicle to pull it all together. Instead of a crane operator is a quartermaster managing a queue of pub squad sergeants each getting a squad together to roll out. This could be expanded or run alongside a public artillery battery muster and distribution hub. The dozens of little public factories, which are sweet and great, are never built with traffic flow and recruiting of warm bodies in mind

Agreed! They should honestly change the look of the parking lots to be more of a look for storing containers like this. Then players may get on board more. I always thought parking lots were semi useless. Just go to seaport or storage depot to grab a vehicle.
This isn't a good representation. WLL has the freedom to do that due to it's regiment size and Kronus being such a big streamer. This doesn't work for anyone other than themselves. Thing's will get destroyed or flag for disruptive. There is also the problem that many many players will grab the containers and submit everything to their own private stockpile and / or public stockpile right next to the "yard". This is just a boast for WLL whilst all the other regiments who don't have a big streamer get shit thrown back at them.
They started out small. People hated what they were doing when they started. You need to just keep pushing and trying to start something otherwise it will never happen. WLL showed that if you have a good idea others will follow and you can execute that idea. Also if a container is out and has items in it no one can submit it to their own private stockpile. It can only be put in public stockpile. What smaller regiments do you think deserve a shoutout and what do they do in game that deserves recognition? I even stated at the end of my video that other clans can reach out to me if they do cool projects ha
@@RobertLovesGames Robert Man you clearly haven't played the game enough. When you make your own Bmats or create items in factory or MPF you will get a "reservable" text with each crate (With your 1k hours video , you should at least know this) It's easier to much have public logi via private stockpile as the pullout time is much quicker. Also can we not make out that WLL was "small" by any stretch of the imagination. They already had Kronus and a good heap of followers. It wasn't "small" at all. Lastly, I don't know any smaller regiments that deserve a shoutout. I never once said that you don't do that.

Lol I do know about this. My opinion is this. Container yard > stockpiles.
Have a good one!
...... I thought it was Warden legion lover's
Ha! It should be for the Warden side!
