As a Dallas local it pains me so much that Garmin made you go through all of those side streets just to get to I-30. It would’ve been so much easier to stay on Woodall Rodgers and merge to I-30 using I-345, especially with driving a semi truck.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I keep wanting to do long-distance driving. I wonder if I’ll do this again one day! Nice video Alex. Good job! 😊

Driving in Texas can be a butt! Texas is #1 on my list where I’m assured to get lost or go in circles each time I’m routed there. With all that construction they have the streets aren’t always where the GPS says, exits names and numbers have changed… a total pain. 😅you did good, you made it out. I got a chuckle ‘cause I could relate.
Apply to a mega carrier that helps you get a CDL. Have patience, an optimistic attitude, good trip planning and common sense. You will be scared at first but you'll feel better pushing through it. It will be an upgrade for sure if you're coming from minimum wage work like me.
I really enjoyed watching this video. I got a good laugh when you said the guy in the red truck was thinking he has seen it all now; a baby driving a pretty truck with a camera attached to his forehead! 😂 I always look forward to riding along with you! Stay safe and thank you for what you do!!
Alex if your GARMIN tries to send you back to the truck stop, click on the top line and scroll down, you can skip the truck stop and just go to your next pickup/ drop off
I live in Dallas and you're hilarious!!! I've watched a few of your videos and I have literally thought what you say out loud about other crazy drivers! Be safe out there!
Thanks for letting us ride along. I’d wager you’d be a hoot to ride with. ALWAYS check your king pin if you’ve been asleep or away from truck n trailer. Ever seen a video or seen a driver pull out without king pin engaged?
My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in US. The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance
First thin first make sure that your cost per mile is loooow, (My cost per mile is 0.94cents a mile and where a team me and my wife) second this is get awaaaaay from dry van, and try to work in a open dick like i do (Flatbed) you always can make a little profit over there especially if your cost per mile is low like mine, i don't have trucking payments and i don't have trailer payments, and i have my own companie so i don't have to pay any fees to get an MC number.....and on top of all that i book my own loads me and wife, cause you never ever gonna be satisfyed whit a dispatcher job, cause he don't care and your not he's priority he have many many other trucks to dispatch for so it dosen't matter to him if you get a load paying you 3$ or 2$, but if your the one ho's booking your own loads at least you try to get the best of the best for your self
Teach me something I do not know and be confident about it. In your video, in your voice. The experience is clear. It is ok that your experience is unknown. That is ok. Trial is ok. In all of life we experience trial is error and we try it again. In your video's you will understand the pattern of just knowing what to do in knowing. And I hope to be there when you do. Good Luck.
@9:30 Why would the shipper load the truck with an oppositional facing pallet? As a forklift operator, I can tell you firsthand this drives me nuts. You can pick up pallets from the notches but it increases the chances of the pallet collapsing on itself and the chance of damaging the product. Sometimes, it's a disaster waiting to happen. That's just lazy work right there, turn the pallet around with the forks. Unless they're PECO block pallets, then it doesn't matter.
You should talk to Factor and see if they'd be interested in doing a partnership/sponsorship with you, I really think their meals would be great for you!
I think Garmen has a sense of humour and she enjoys playing tricks on you. Having you thread the needle just to take you right back where you were was proof. That so funny 😂
Wow I am old and done driving. I only had a Randy McNally truckers atlas and pay phones in 1992 To get directions it was a phone call to the receiver or shipper truck stops used to have 50 pay phones. When you called for directions it was taken for granted that they will say they get trucks daily no problem. Big difference in a 25' box truck over a 53' trailer at 13'6" When I talk to my nephew he is lost without his iphone and gps and he is just driving around locally in his toyota car. You don't miss what you never had.
Hey, Alex.. Haven't seen you for some time.. You ok.? Your last post stated you were called to headquarters. Let us know what is going on as we really enjoy your postings.
Congrats, also spray some WD40 on the release piece, (front of the 5th wheel) and it should work properly. That needs to be lubed like any constantly dries due to road elements, salt road grime.
Interesting watching your drive. I'm waiting on a few applications to get me started on trucking. Really want to go out driving and working. Not looking forward to the trainer for a month but oh well. By the way that food you pulled out and everything in your fridge was not actually healthy at all lol.
Hi - we are not "getting rid" of half of our fleet, or of any of it for that matter; we simply replace retiring trucks with new ones + add new trucks for growth.
@@chrisherbert123 yeah the black card lets you go to any gym, super convenient and the price is right. I’m in trucking school currently and need to get back into shape so I was looking for gyms that have spots almost everywhere and planet fitness is one of the few

The Garmin likely thinks he's driving a car. I always used to use trucking-specific GPS.
It a Garmin Truck -GPS- some trucker like the Garmin better.
No one was expecting you to get out and help Alex 😂. Ur a truck driver we get it.. B safe out there 😂✌️.
I would watch every single one of these if you made more this is my type of asmr
Good video bro
Thanks for taking me along on another journey.
Njoy the channel Alex.
My condolences. DFW traffic is insane…
I hate it , I hate all cities actually , insect life is not for me.
Dallas traffic is terrible, but he made it worse than it had to be by paying attention to Garmin rather than paying attention to where he was.
THE TOWEL IN THE MICROWAVE WAS LIFE CHANGING FOR ME!! SHITS SO LOUD
I think the other truck driver recognized you dude, you’re mad famous!

Alex, you are an inspiration! Trucking is my dream job, actually! Thank you!

Don't do it for GP Transco. They paint a nice picture with Alex but they treat their real drivers like DOGS.
Bro same im home daily on a dedicated contract and im just bored driving down 90 to Wisconsin everyday i need some new views

Same. Funny how his GPS took him around downtown and thru Design Distric. I wonder why he wanted to take 35S if he was supposed to go to AR on I-30
That garmin is taken you the wrong way in Dallas. You were so close to 30 and it had you get off and turn around the LONG way

Do you mostly drive in a automatic truck
Always type the address in google earth so you know the layout of where you are going and see where to go and get loaded
No license for a manual truck?
Honest opinion. Do you guys like being on the road drivers?
Euro trucks wouldn’t have most tight corner turn problems in roads and highway
