    I use to strictly use Super Clean, but it seems in the last couple years their solution isn't as strong. I tried Purple power and purple power I was happy with it did a better job for me than super clean.
    I do know if you let either product dry on aluminum it will etch the aluminum, the directions also state to not use on aluminum, but if your quick enough to get a good scrub and rinse it off quick before it has time to dry, I found they were fine.

    On any kind of carpeting, using an extractor is the key. That would allow one to see the true results. Plus it enhances any surfactant’s effectiveness.

    I've noticed with purple power, if it's diluted anything more than 10:1, it can pull the white lettering off from turn signal stalks and such. So, use P.P. with caution

    Yeah purple degreasers tend to tickle the lung when Aerosolization occurs. I have worked with some Purple degreasers that will make you hack up a lung just sitting open in a room. I have a friend who is a chemist that formulated his own super ultra concentrated purple degreaser this stuff is amazing. Although he only Produces it in 275 gallon tote’s with the steel reinforcements. If diluted enough it could be used to clean anything . it is also a quaternary disinfectant but could not be labeled so what small Wants to pay tens of thousands of dollars just saw the FDA can label it as a disinfectant he used to produce it for one of the larger car manufacturers and GE I believe.

    Super Clean is caustic. It WILL attack aluminum, paint, etc. Be safe with this as it will also attack your skin. I use it to clean my stove. If you use it as a degreaser, you will notice the odor of soap. This is because it is saponifying the grease and oil and turning it into soap.

    Super clean use to be great. I first tried it back in the 90s. It was amazing stuff. Back then if you left a wet rag of Super Clean in a stainless pot too long it would etch into the surface. Also if you got spray on glass and did not clean it off, it would etch into glass as well. Due to the high cost of it now I switched over to Purple Power.

    Hi there. You have great videos and amazing enthusiasm! However, there is one thing I would have done differently in comparing these 2 obviously fantastic products. I would have put a piece of tape down the middle, and I would have used 2 different brushes (the exact same brush) to avoid a possibility of cross-contamination of the products. When you scrub the Power Clean side, there is still Power Clean product on that brush. You then scrub the Super Clean side, but it still has some of the Power Clean 'residuals' on it and vice versa. But, that's just my thought. Either way, you are phenomenal at what you do, and may GOD continue to bless you!

    Maybe just me but didn't you scrub the Super Cleaner side more than the Purple Power?

      Simple Green is quite toxic - look it up.

    • @MoparOrNoCar91
      @MoparOrNoCar91 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it was toxic back in 2013 but they have since removed the chemical 2-butoxyethanol which made it toxic.

    Can you run these through the TORNADOR??? To clean fabrics? Do you find the product make the carpet "sticky" and attract more dirt (like some carpet shampoos do?)?

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dan Garner yes you can absolutely put them through the tornador, just make sure and dilute them. Regarding the second question, detailers for years have claimed that carpet shampoo makes things sticky and attract more dirt but I think this is a misnomer. A carpet doesn't attract more dirt at all because it's been shampooed. It doesn't become a magnet for dirt, the logic is that since it is a little sticky, the dirt that falls just stays on the carpet better, and therefore the carpet becomes dirtier. When detailers make those sort of claims I just think the conversation is irrelevant only because, if shampooing carpets do make the carpet sticky, is anyone going to stop shampooing carpets? Definitely not, and I just haven not ever found it to be the case that anything makes a carpet "sticky." I hope that helps

    Interesting. I cleaned my Jeep mats a year ago with Super Clean and it made them lighter too. I'm just not sure if my mats were restored to it's original color or if SC just made lighter

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes this will happen truthfully with any cleaner you use because the mats haven’t been maintained

    I used super clean on my engine bay and it took part of the paint on the frame right off and I thought that shit was so damn powerful that I never use it lol. And now I'm hearing it's safe o.o maybe I should give it another chance (:

      Simply Tuned, I'd suggest you dilute SuperClean at least 4 parts water to 1 part SuperClean anytime you're trying it on a new surface as it really is powerful.

    Super Clean is "Awesome" the cleaning power is second to none, a much better/safer, cost effective product to me than Purple Power for automotive use, as far as other applications Purple power is great for commercial use and works great as a bug remover, but mix with water and don't let it stay on too long....overall Super Clean is my top choice in my opinion.

    Thanks for the great videos. Looking for some help finding a good tire cleaner that won't etch my bare aluminum forged wheels. It seems like the cleaners that won't etch the wheels don't get the tires clean very easily. Any suggestions?

  • @wootdoo
    @wootdoo ปีที่แล้ว

    I ruined a set of wheels with purple power. I ended up having to do with three-stage polish on them it was so bad. Stuff like that white lightning simple green I just avoid all that stuff now

      Hey 04av6, here's a video on SuperClean's website that explains dilutions pretty well if you're interested (It includes fishing rods and a lot more): superclean.com/applications/fishing-rods/
