- An introspective song, Chaddh De flows like a river. The song is about letting go of desires. It talks about how futile it is to fret over desires or wants when your time on earth is limited. It's about the futility of trying to control life when everybody's place is preordained and nothing one does can ever change that.
It was written by Lyricist Manoj during a low & depressive phase of his life. The lyrics literally mean 'oh fool let go' (of your desires). Clinton includes a remarkable string section in this song with the cello playing a prominent role.

Meaning:
The Poet is imploring to all beings, to not fall for the worldly traps. For life is like loose sand, that will
flow away without any warning in the endless wide ocean of impermanence. When we know that the
end of this journey will have to be done alone and empty handed, what is point of dying for desires and
planning for them each day?
The end is inevitable and hence your space is predefined...for you will, either be burnt to ashes and
hence become part of the air or, be buried and hence will become part of this earth...one day.
Poet quotes the great Saint and poet, Sant Kabirdas, "since we know the end is inevitable, we must use
this time to sow good deeds. For when we came to this earth as a new born, everyone laughed and we

The way Cello is played, never heard before that instrument can emote like that.
Master Saleem is a master of notes, scales, rhythm ... The extended taan he did there was mind blowing. Once again, when I think of him as the same guy who sang Aahun Aahun ("Love aaj kal", Pritam) and this, you know what I mean. The range is mind boggling.
The little jazz touch on the acoustic gtr solo was so awesome.
Above all, Clinton Cerejo is the real master. This is by far one of the best composition and productions in entire Coke Studio MTV series.

I've been taking testosterone to treat a medical condition for many years now, and one of the byproducts of this is that I don't cry anymore, I can get emotional, but no tears come out; sometimes I feel completely trapped in my emotions, even when the rational thing to do would be to let go .... anyway .. here we are, and I am in a difficult and emotional situation in my life and listened to this song, and Master Saleem's voice instantly brings me to tears especially starting 2:53. The grief and sadness is not pleasant, but I am thankful to be able to let these tears stream down my cheeks finally. It's horrible to have to hold everything inside. Thank you to these beautiful voices. Thank you! 🙏

Revisited this after many moons! Still feel the same goosebumps as I did the first I heard it on MTV when it was released. Remember Master Saleem pointing his index finger up in the tarana when he hits the high note. Clinton Cerejo is extremely underappreciated. This was the first time I heard these dohas of Kabir and it was mind completely blown. As a fusion it does not get better than this. I would go out on an arm and leg and say this probably stands at par with Kandisa from Indian Ocean. The final tarana is definitely beautiful, but the following double bass creates a calm n soothing soundscape to consider the words of Kabir and the energy of Master Saleem. Thank you for this beautiful composition Clinto Cerejo!

This season was OP. It gave some of the best music CS India has produced ever. Clinton was in top form. Underrated composer imo. I mean who now makes 3+min tracks? Clinton's episode was like a travel through different emotions. They all can make great BGM and tracks for montages.
