I saw your video this time last year when i took delivery of my 2022 model 3. I followed your instructions and people who get into my car always say "how do you keep your white seats looking so good?" I just repeated the process after one year and my seats look like brand new. Thanks for making the video.
Considering this product on my model y with white interior that will take delivery soon. Are you seats still like new or are they showing slight due transfer? My previous 3. ( no coat) started to show minor transfer after a few months of ownership. Thanks for any feedback!
Glad i saw your previous video on this before I received delivery of my car. I first did a good wipe down with baby wipes and watered down J&J baby shampoo and a ton of dirt came off. Once dried, I applied 2 coats of the leather shield. So glad I did this on day 1- a few days later we were hit with a rain storm. My son had worn his new blue jeans that got soaked. I didn't even realize the dye transfer until about a day later. I almost had a heart attack. Nice large patch and streaks of blue jean dye from the center of the seat to the side edge. I just stared at it for awhile, heartbroken, then brought out the baby wipes. First initial wipe did very little, but after using 1/2 a dozen wipes later (changing wipes as soon as it had picked up dye), the seats were white and like new again!! No stain at all. To be fair, I don't know if the outcome would've been the same without the ceramic coating, but I'm just glad I didn't have to test that out! Thanks!!
I didn't know about seat treatment when I got my model 3.. a week after buying it found the seat had lots of dye transfer from jeans. It *never* came out.. even 2 years later as I think about selling I'm aware my car won't be worth as much because of the ugly staining on the seats. So I think you got lucky having the coating on.. it sounds like you'd be in the same position.
This video is very helpful to prospective white interior buyers like myself. Big thank you! If you bought another Tesla in the future, would you choose white seats again?
Thank You Evan for posting this video with the links to the products. I've been looking for something to clean and protect my 2022 Model YLR and didn't see anything I liked until my husband sent me your video. The links were perfect to select all of the products. Can't wait to get them to get our seats protected. I also like the idea of leaving the vacuum in the car to use when you supercharge.
Great video! Looking to upgrade my current M3P with white interior to a MYP with white interior. My current Tesla does show quiet a bit of due transfer to the front seats so looking for options for the Y. To this date are you still applying the coat and do you feel it has continue to help prevents stains ? I’m debating using this product versus having it coat at a local retailer ( Ceramic Pro). Thanks for any feedback!
Hey thanks for commenting, yea I still apply this stuff to help maintain my seats. I'm still having great results as the white seats still look almost new.
Hi Evan, when you regularly clean your seats with the lithium cleanse product, does it eat away the Gyeon little by little between your re-application of Gyeon every 6 months or 1 year?
Thinking of applying this on Nappa Leather interior for my Volvo S90. How does Gyeon compare with Cquartz Leather 2.0 ? This video is around 3 years old. Would you still recommend Gyeon or have you found a better product. Thank you.
@@EMtesla1 Thank you so much for your kind response. Has your leather remained supple or has it become hard ? It is said that leather is porous and ceramic coating fills the same up making the leather hard. Thank you once again.
kudos for immaculate attention to interior. Are you also on top of road grime that collects under the removable panel in the frunk (access to battery and ventilation filter)
Thank you! I am for the ventilation filter but as far as the under panel accumulation... I'm afraid to look. I've seen dirty teslas video lol. To be fair; he drives a lot on gravel/dirt roads.
When applying this, DO wear protective gloves AND DO wear some form of respirator or at the very least an N95 mask. These fumes are strong and you don't want this coming in contact with your skin.
GOOD PROTECTION FOR NEW CAR. ... BUT I HAD DONE CERAMIC COATING ON LEATHER IN MY BMW AND LEATHER FEELS LIKE RUBBER TO THE TOUCH NOW. ANYONE FEELS THE SAME?
Is there any reason I should not apply this product to the center console and the other softer “leather like” surfaces, such as the arm rest on the door, etc?
@@AdamSmith-fe9jf if you take care of your leather properly then you won’t have any problems, and I don’t think you can call it better if it’s not even close to the quality of normal leather.
@@harjassingh9357 Well, sounds like if you have to take so much good care of leather while vegan leather requires practically no maintenance it’s already better for that reason. Genuine leather is prone to stains, cracks, creases and discoloration with body oils while vegan leather is not.
@@AdamSmith-fe9jf Vegan leather is a contradiction you can’t have leather without using an actual animal. So it’s already fake in that regard and as far as care goes of coarse it’s going to take a little more effort to keep real leather looking good. As far as care with products go you only have to apply them once every 1 to 3 months and cracks can be reduced by 90% if you take car of it from the beginning and make sure you don’t rub yourself with it when exiting.

My white seats arnt treated but i clean them off with interior detailer with no issues. I wear jeans everyday and get ink transfer all the time.

Applied to my white seats in the model 3 1 week after delivery…and I love it.
Very helpful, as I was on the fence about white seats. This has helped convince me - thanks.
Great video!!! How many coats should I apply and if more than one how long to wait before applying next coat !!😎🙌🏼👍🏼. NEW SUB
Driver seat about once every 6 months
Is it worth applying to black leather? Does it make any difference?
Great vid, thank you and will order this...just got my Tesla yesterday.
This video is very helpful to prospective white interior buyers like myself. Big thank you! If you bought another Tesla in the future, would you choose white seats again?
Thanks! And yes I would go with white again if I was buying another Tesla.
Ceramics do not stop cracking.. not at all. It only protects form the stains.
Thanks for that info. So do you still add leather treatment as well after the ceramic, or how do you take care of it.

What is the brand and style floor mats you have
Wow, that really looks like new! Q: Do you keep your car in a garage when not using your Model 3?
Yes for the most part haha
Wow looks brand new. I need this like yesterday 🤪
Thank you! Very helpful!
Great video! When you have white interiors, do you still have to tint the windows for sun heat protection?
I mean it sure helps! But the white seats won’t have any effect with the hot sun if this is what you’re asking.
Does it have a nice smell? How long the smell last? Better a ceramic protection or better a guard?
Yes there will be a strong smell initially… it goes away after a few hours after applying.
Smells like a strong chemical smell
Hi Evan, when you regularly clean your seats with the lithium cleanse product, does it eat away the Gyeon little by little between your re-application of Gyeon every 6 months or 1 year?
Yes, Lithium is very powerful stuff, yet gentle on your seats. You will have to reapply Gyeon every 6 moths to every year.

@@EMtesla1 Thank you so much once again. How often do you re-apply?
Can this be used on Alcantara?
Did this ceramic coating have any sort of smell/odor when you applied it?
Yes; strong chemical smell… leave windows open and vents full blast when applying. Smell goes away in an hour or so.
@@EMtesla1 Hey Evan! does application create any squeaking sound after application when it dries out?
Did you try a magic eraser on the blue stain?
Yes and did not work… as you saw with time the fade has nearly disappeared.
Never use magic eraser on your leather. It is an abrasive sponge.
Correct this is a last resort
Will this prevent from leaving marks after wearing blue or black jeans.
Yes it will help

Hi, Does the Gyeon Leather Shield make the seat surface slippery?
for a couple days yes. I will go away after about a week of use
Got it. Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Did you apply the coating to the fabric portion on the sides of the seats? If so, the same amount as the rest of the chair?
I did not apply to the fabric side
Can you apply this on the white dash as well?
I don’t see why not… it does work on plastics. Thanks for commenting!
Can you/should you apply this to the center console arm rest?
I have with no problems
Can you also apply it on the black plastic piece behind the front seats?
You mean the center console ? Yes I did
@@EMtesla1
No, there is a black plastic on the back of the front seat
Ohhh, that part. No I did not
I use it on my model s seats. Super useful
How those white seats looking now?
Fantastic... no complaints. Just maintain them and you will be happy.
Never mind found them
When applying this, DO wear protective gloves AND DO wear some form of respirator or at the very least an N95 mask. These fumes are strong and you don't want this coming in contact with your skin.

Thats crazy,
Is there any reason I should not apply this product to the center console and the other softer “leather like” surfaces, such as the arm rest on the door, etc?
I've applied this to the center console, 'leather like' door sides with no issues. I would recommend it.
I will buy for me too
Moral of the story get the black seats lol
Nah I still prefer my white
