    Trailer Race Ramps
In this video I am tackling a problem I created. After installing the splitter on my track car I could no longer drive up the ramp into my enclosed trailer. Race Ramps has a great solution to this but at $5-800 this solution is out of my comfort zone. I decided to utilize the ramps I built for my scissor lift and repurpose the materials to make my own ramp design. According to the calculator on raceramps.com I had two choices of ramps. One at just over 6 feet long and the other at just under 11 feet. I used inspiration from the RV community where I decided to raise the rear of the truck up, lowering the rear of the trailer and changing my approach angle from 7.9* to 5.95*. This meant that with a short ramp for my truck I could lower the height of the trailer ramps. This is close to what I need. With the addition of the ramps at the end of the trailer door I lowered my approach angle to 3.5*. This will allow me to lower the car further in the future as I tune the suspension.
If you want to skip the hassle of building your own ramps take a look at www.raceramps.... They have amazing solutions that are well built, lightweight and customizable. You can also use their calculator to figure out the dimensions that will work for your setup. www.raceramps....

Nice job, great footage. Sorry was only able to watch 1x so far but goin to mimic urs (make slight mod w my trailer) - did u record u making the wood ‘ramp’ that ur trailer ramps ‘sat’ on? Either way, what was the length u cut of those 2x12 n what else did u affix to that?
    Thanks much!

My trailer ramps are broken into 2 sections both of which are 36”. The ramp door sits on a pair of 2x12’s with a 12” section of 1/2” plywood where the ramp door plywood intersects. The forward ramps are 1x12’s stacked 3 tall. 36”, 24”, 12” to give a gentle ride up onto the 2x12. These lengths could be changed to fit the profile or ramp angle your looking for. Later I added handles to all of the ramps to make handling them easier.
