Well presented video. I also tested both bikes. The Yamaha engine is much more lively, but for me touring 16000km per year the Honda is a better machine. I took delivery of the DCT version 4 days ago 😊

How have you found it after a few months?

I really like the way you do the comparisan. Short, clear and precise. Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks.

I had the same question and i bought a Tracer 9 GT+ which by the way has a great color. NT1100 is for older guys who just got their retirement.

As a NT1100 DCT owner, I will also go for Tracer 9 GT + (plus), It's a better MC, it has active shock absorbers, the Honda has weak ones and I wouldn't recommend if you're going to have a pillion, the GT+ has active radar, better engine, the NT1100 shakes too much and is outdated in my opinion, and don't forget the GT + new brakes, which are connected brakes and help you brake correctly when you need to stop quickly. But the NT1100 is the best for wind protection, I use my NT1100 to commute 200km to work on a straight highway (without bends, queues, pillion, etc), Honda needs to come up with a better engine, an 1100cc should have at least 140 HP and better balanced engine. Between 2500 to 3500 rpm is not the NT1100 cup of tea

NT1100 left side switch gear is messy and needs to be resolved. Tracers display is butt ugly, looks like a muppet is staring back at you and the information displayed is even more cluttered than the NT1100 switchgear. The GT + model fixes the display issue, over to Honda to fix the switchgear.
Otherwise both bikes are great choices for touring without spending a fortune.

Dose anyone one have problem with body position seat and leg comfort if your tall between 175 - 178 for long distance traveling? On Yamaha tracer 9 gt+

I'm 178, late twenties. The seat is oddly slanted forward, took me 2 months to get used to. I've rode 2,000km within a day once. Even with rest every 1.5 hours my knees still hurts on the lower seat posn. On the high seat posn my knees feel better but the seat angle makes my whole back feel very sore even 10minutes in.

To compare these bikes is like to compare a cow with a crow, unless a DCT is wanted. Then - well, Yamaha, for some inexplicable reason, does not make BIKES ( not talking about scooters ) with auto. gear. Then, Honda has no alternative. If a manual gear is on the menu - there's nothing to compare. THIS Honda, simply beats the Tracers ( any version ) to the groug - by suckin ass ! ❗❗🤷🏻‍♂ So unless the GT+ is too pricy, and the ugly " scuba-clown" dash, on other Tracer 9s, is not a problem - one has to be clinically insane to buy the NT1100 ! It is one of the SHITTIEST bikes, I've, recently, tried !
One thing is guarrrantied - a relaxing ride / tour on it - you're NOT going to have ☝☝🤣
