In Bisect Hosting there’s an instance manager that allows one instance of your server to be forge, another to be paper, another to be spigot, etc. is this possible for me to do using this method? Would I just have to make a folder for each instance I want open?

I dont know why mine doesnt work it just says unkown host for my friend I tried their forums on it but it still doesnt work I can connect to it using the ip but not the number ip? PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, I'm having a problem with the .jar file. When I doubleclick it it says that a java exception has occurred. Does anyone know how to fix that? Also, I tried it with the .bat file and instead of running it closes right after I run it. Someone help pls.

A host is still preferred in my opinion, as it's more secure and a hosts Network is built for lots of traffic, unlike a home Network. Through for some friend groups, I can see this being an alternative
i just play it with 2 player on server
installing mod require me around 3gb of ram. i have 16gb ram on my PC
when im using aternos free server it is laging when im full speeding using mount to explore because the chunk takes a lot of time to load

You could have installed the playit plugin on the server. I think is easier. But I could also run anything with the windows app.

I dont see where that setup claim link is for playit, it didnt pop up after clicking finish. I also redid it and repaired but again nothing popped up

hey kasaisora, i tried to host my server through my laptop but the console keeps saying that the server can't keep up, can you tell how do i increase or dedicate more ram to the server?
how many gigs of ram does your laptop have? it could be windows eating all of those resources like chrome or java
When i downloaded the paper fie it wasn't a JAR file it was a Executable JAR file. WHat does this mean?

I use this, it's very useful. It just disconnects every now and then and you have to restart it, for me anyhow.

If someone's PaperMC isnt opening after the second time you double click the jar file, uninstall the Java SE Platform (which should be version 22) and reinstall the version 21 (JDK 21) instead of 22.

I’m not able to “launch the program” after finishing the playit download, as in, idk where or how to launch it
edit: i reached out to someone and they showed me how to get to it. if anyone's stuck like i was just paste C:\Program Files\playit_gg\bin into the run app and open the .exe file in the bin folder

u have to change the extension, u probably havent done that, to do it turn on file extensions first

If anyone is having trouble with the .bat file not working here’s what i did to fix it. I’m on windows 11 so try and translate this as much if you are anything else. In file explorer look at the top where it says view, click the dropdown box. go to show and hit file name extensions. This will reveal your .bat file you thought you renamed from .txt to .bat was really a .bat.txt file all along! change that to a just .bat file and it should load! hope this helps someone!

video shows that you downloaded java 17 to run the papermc file, you need java 21 to run it and i was stuck here for 40 minutes trying to wonder why
Back when I made this video months ago, Java 17 was sufficient. With Minecraft 1.21 though, you do indeed need Java 21 to run a 1.21 server.

It's complicated because of my ISP. They most probably blocked port forwarding.

Yes! Most plugins and a select few mods (optifine being a mahor example) exist "on top" of base Minecraft (hence why servers can run with plugins on them, without needing clients).
Mods, however, usually alter core game files. Thus, your friends will need the same mods and client as you.

You can go to the playit.gg website yes but you can't host a Java Edition server on your phone

WARNING I use this method and there is a slight delay when you do something in MC so if you lay down a block it takes a few seconds to do it I noticed this when I connected through my tunnel. Your players WILL notice it
I feel that's just on your end, considering my server works perfectly fine. Works about the same when I host source game servers.
Yeah, because the servers that you're going through are far away and that will add some latency.
Try connecting using "localhost" instead of the address when connected on the same network as the server

No, fabric is client side. If you install mods via the server, your friends will have to download them
