McDavid, Ovechkin and Kane were no where near the bottom of the league as rookies in terms of goal differential. Not even close. No "generational talent" has ever been near the bottom, even if they started on a terrible team. Bedard is at the bottom, not only among rookies but almost at the bottom of the ENTIRE LEAGUE. Why? Not because he's on a bad team. There are plus players on Chicago. No, it's because the dude refuses to play in his own zone. Keep calling him a bust when he’s a plus player because of a better team around him and putting up 100+ point seasons in a few years from now
