I understand the limitations OF going back to just 1 screen for an intro designed to be 2 screens, and i'm glad they didn't completely cut corners by just Excluding mickey entirely, and infact, the usage of mickey goin off screen was pretty clever for their limitation, but MAN, those specific backgrounds and animations getting lost really just shows how spefically well made this opening is.
This is a rare intro that I felt I had to see more than once, if only to see the attention to detail to Mickey on the touch screen. Boy was I happy to play through the campaign ready for Kingdom Hearts 3 :)
Looking back on this, years later after KH3 and re:mind. This is still to me the best opening in Kingdom Hearts, the only opening ever to genuinely make me tear up and cry when I finally played it on 2.8, truly dream drop is still my favorite Kingdom Hearts game
i sometimes can't fucking believe this game came out 10 years ago. i remember the day i bought it. i remember the day i finished it.i remember being in awe and completely blown away the opening cinematics/ holy shit. thanks for the memories. i still have the original game.
I like how much this opening truly did spoil KH3 climax, more so than even KH3 opening. With Sora, Riku, and Mickey going up the rocks to fight Xehanort(s) and everyone joining in after.
I love the opening sequence of the 3DS game because it features the main video on one screen and Mickey Mouse making a reference to "Fantasia" on the other. In the game's narrative, Mickey is portrayed as summoning and directing the entire Kingdom Hearts story as if he were conducting an orchestra. In the video, Mickey uses the story's pages to summon every character for a final battle. When the true villain is about to destroy everything, Mickey jumps from one screen to the other and becomes a main character in the story, rather than just lurking behind the scenes as the conductor.
Much better than the remastered version, where they put the credits in the middle of the screen and keep Mickey silhouette unnecessary, which makes it hard to enjoy the cinematic.
@@forastero54321for me kh2 intro was just slightly behind 3D, bcs DS/3DS intros are lost art, like i love how SE ane Disney utilizes this (probaboy some other games too)
The ending of that video where King Mickey summoned everyone should be the ending to Kingdom Hearts 3 where they shut the door to Kingdom Hearts once and for all.
I love the fact that it is cannon that mickey is a conductor for the kingdom hearts orchestra Also i always cry when listening to this i just get filled with emotions that only kingdom hearts can make me feel 😢😊
@@Spazbo4 you're right, in fact this comment was for a video comparing PS4 with 3DS opening and the image of PS4 was resized the wrong way to fit half the screen, that's why I commented that... But the auto reproduction feature TH-cam made, has made me go to this video and comments without noticing it's not the first one. (-_-)
Definitely the best way to experience this oepning is the original 3DS format
Agreed
Yes ! That's just a shame it's not in fullhd ! :-(
Facts
@@sammonereau2645You get HD or dual screens, not both.
the camera sucked, i kept being taken by surpise by enemies in soras blind spot

ikr
Loving the fact that when roxas appear, mickey doubles in. And when Roxas with sora, mickey is one again :D
The little details are so amazing ! DDD's opening is one of my favourites
2:22 He actually splits into 3 (the middle representing Xion), then condenses into 2.
lucariomew358/2 because she’s just a puppet
Nice! Never noticed that-just accepted it like most of the story.
:)

It's really great of them to use both screens so Mickey can jump from screen to screen.
Mickey breaks the fourth wall
Chills when Mickey throws off his robes and enters the fray. Chills.
perfect use of the extra screen :D
3:14 King Mickey be like "Oh Boy, Sora need my help"
OH BOOOY
Braking the fourth wall like pinkie pie
XEHANORT!!!!!!
@@Mroces ooooooooooooooooooooh booooooooy hah-hah!
My favorite part and on the 3DS is worlds better

Same here 😭
Why do I always tear up when I see this opening?
The journey
The nostalgia!!!
Because it's just perfect.
Because of all three.
The music. God.
3:13 Mickey just leapt to the top screen to fend off Xehanort!
3:13 Simply unbeatable
goosebumps
That last section, where everyone gathers and are shooting lights into the sky, is straight out of KH3!
Nope, DDD came first.

Thanks for uploading this dude! I've always wanted to see what this cinematic looked like on the 3DS. :D
3:14 is the best part
Better intro than the remake as it uses the two screens very well.
This is just the best opening in kingdom hearts in my opinion
Perfectly captures the feeling of both the Disney and Square elements. masterpiece
Seeing Roxas, Terra, Ven, and Aqua turn into pages at the end 😭
This intro always brings me to tears, it’s so well done
2:22 and onwards is my favorite part especially 2:46
これこれほんとにいい演出🥰
Mickey jumping out to fight Xehanort was cool in the other format and it’s even cooler here 😭😭😭
The ending gives me such goosebumps it’s incredible
sora in smash let's goooooooooooooo

Smash comunity, join to this masterpiece
Best opening in the series, by far.
Most of them are top tier, but I get what you mean. When Sora slams into the capsule and Roxas flies out! Holy shit!
Mickey jumping up to the top screen gets me every time
this game changed my life. there's no other way to say it.
ミッキー2人になるのロクサスとシオン表してるみたいで好き

Is it just me or does this feel like a opening youd have in the final installment .

Provided it ever comes out...
u weirdo who think it’s not coming out after 10 trailers. that’s not it chief
Lmao, "once and for all" he says.
This man is a psychic lowkey
How did he -
I love this fantasia themed intro, unique to KH 3D and no other intro similar to this.

Not me just realizing they gave Sora the oathkeeper and Riku Oblivion!!!!
I don't know why, but I feel like the 3ds opening is way better than the console version.
This was for a 3DS? That’s how they used the double screen? That was pretty cool
PLEASE someone make a concert band score 🙏🙏🙏
