Shibuya is not a disney-esque location, so it's unlikely that it will appear in KHIII.
Our TWEWY friends could fit right in with The World that Never Was, especially the dark city part, that would have been an interesting setting for them.
That could work. Who knows where or if they will show up again.

b) square never puts cities/ locations from games other than disney and locations made specifically for the purpose of kingdom hearts. to put in shibuya would go against this unspoken rule.
ShadowMsh i'd also like to point out that for the most part, a lot of people don't LIKE change in iconic franchises. remember the uproar about a battle system that moved away from the standard turn-based/time-based system in final fantasy xv? additionally, kingdom hearts environments by nature are very spacious.
1) shibuya is an actual location, and a very cluttered/ crowded one at that, which already deviates from KH spacious environments (which are necessary given the nature of KH's gameplay)
2) i SERIOUSLY doubt that they would alter the actual appearance of shibuya to work in congruence with KH just because a couple fans want it. for one thing, japanese fans would be like "wtf is this" and for another thing, they'd be bastardizing a cultural landmark.
so yeah, i'm going to say no to shibuya in KH. leave it to disney environments and environments made solely for the purpose of kingdom hearts.

***** Usually, in case you noticed, the plot relevant secret bosses are mostly added afterwards in the FM versions (exception: BbS with Mysterious Figure which existed in the original version), so, I don't think that Julius is plot-relevant. We could compare him to Phantom in KH1, I think.

Back then: Neku's surprised to see Sora didn't have a palm timer, which is a sign of the Reaper's Game and running out of time results in 'erasure'. Neku eventually promises a reunion with Sora in Shibuya.
Now: Neku's a legend in the Shibuya Underground (parallel plane the Reaper's Game exists in, as opposed to Realground with the regular humans), Shiki's no longer taking the form of her friend Eri, new cast of characters, and the Game overall has different rules. Team based as opposed to pair based, no timers, and a leaderboard system.

Having listened to the two main versions of this song, this version seems friendlier and more natural than the original. It may be just the KH influence, but this song is so full of life and inviting compared to the other version, which I can best describe as harsh and unnatural.
I think it has a LOT to do with the overall mood of the game.
In a sense, both fit in with their respective games.
The World Ends With You's setting was purely one of survival: You couldn't trust a lot of people, you could only trust yourself and your partner, and you're trapped in an urban city, that is alive, but you can't interact with most people. The music reflects this: Yes, it's alive, but for you only artificially, as nearly all the people can't even see you.
Kingdom Heart's setting is one that can best be described, in my opinion, by people's lives. You go in and out of different worlds, seeing tonnes of people's stories, and helping them to continue. The music also reflects this: It changes far more depending on where you are, but it's still very up-beat and happy, for the most part.
It has been referred to as Neku's theme song, so that might represent how he is a tiny bit less antisocial in kh? Idrk
@@houndermagnum5918 I think it's more just to fit with KH's more upbeat tone. TWEWY characters had to change a lot to fit with KH, especially Neku and Joshua the more "dark" characters of TWEWY

I've been a KH fan ever since my friend introduced me to it with 358/5 days.
I got 1 and 2. Then borrowed Re:CoM. Played a bit of BBS.
This game was excellent. I missed having FF characters...but it did not disappoint at all.
The soundtrack, the story, and gameplay were great.
And yes. 3D Intro was the BEST intro to a KH game so far.

Elwood Hellsythe well, to be fair, chrono trigger isn't a cross over like kingdom hearts is , so final fantasy 6 characters wouldn't even have a reason to be there.

Hope neku and the gang return, twewy was a great choice for ddd, and since twewy is an amazing game. when it released I thought it was going to have the final fantasy characters since its a Disney and final fantasy game. but since I saw that ddd was a bright and colorful game, I thought " this game looks to happy to have final fantasy characters in it, I wonder what the other option for the characters are."

Dream drop distance is my favorite kingdom hearts simply because it has really good The World Ends With You representation. It’s the only other square enix game I’ve ever played so the cameos in Dream Drop Distance always were more impactful for me.

Been awhile since I played TWEWY.... but I'm pretty sure Joshua saw the change in Neku and spared Shibuya, now believing that the city was good. Also not to mention the there are multiple versions of Shibuya. But if you're referring to KHDDD and their world getting destroyed in the sense, it's not. Joshua just feared that their world would disappear so he brought the dreams of his friends to Traverse Town and conducted the games there so they could live again and return home.
I wish they make a TWENY remake for the 3ds, without running much the story and the graphics. I mean 2d was a lots way cool, and the way the game felt like a comic book, that was awesome!
They could do some really cool stiff like mutant mudds type 2d be insanley cool

Seriously calling kingdom mix is so trash like the melody is super good but the vocals are so bad. This version is far better than the original twister or really any other one since it takes basically everything good about them and adds a completely new charm and (at least in my opinion) way better instrumentation

Yes, I was quite surprised when I saw that they were actually bringing multiple songs from TWEWY into KH. Seeing as the only songs that they brought in from FF (that I can recall) were Sephiroth and Zack's themes, I didn't think they'd bring in any more than 1 TWEWY song. We fans of TWEWY should be very grateful. :)
