Btw, I'm really lucky enough (saved for 4 years) to own a 77" G3 and I'm not offended at all by your findings. The G3 is incredible. Motion to die for and the colours are beautiful.
However, you're telling it as it is. We all hope that the manufacturer's improve year on year, even if it's just a tweak here and a tweak there. This is my first LG coming from a string of Panasonic led's. Oled is eye popping candy. Thank you, again 🙏🙏🙏

A95L has slightly better color saturation in some hdr scenes. However what the A95L/QD OLED purchase justifiers don't tell you is that this is only noticeable in some hdr scenes not in all hdr content, it is not noticeable in any sdr content, and that to notice it you would need to have the tv's side by side. Independently viewed, the LG G4 color saturation is good.
What the A95L/QD OLED purchase justifiers who keep beating the drums of color volume also don't tell you is that A95L's motion has problems (worse motion than previous sony oleds), that the A95L shows shimmering artifacts in some HDR content (documented by classy tech in one of his videos) and that if you have some light directly hitting the screen, the A95L blacks don't remain true black because of QD OLED panels not employing a polarizer layer.

Sony won due to processing and smarter buyers talked about that. LG now looks fantastic with processing .You could see the 3D effect in a static image. I wouldn't buy the Sony - crazy price in my country. I will be able to get a G4 83" on discount than full price of 77" A95L, ( to be fair to Sony, I thing Samsung screwed them , as WOLEDs are priced OK - maybe why Sony wants to make the best 85" miniLED ).
Good news is 5 years updates , pretty sure alpha 11 will be on the G5 , so LG will improve is colour mapping , and dynamic tone mapping as mentioned here. So these fire scenes will look colourful and detailed as the QD-OLED - just that the QD-OLEDs colour will be brighter in pure colours . LG brighter in colours with more white . Again it will only be noticeable side by side.
All these examples here were to test WOLED and it passed pretty well. All other scene types it will do fine it .
All these TVs are great, buy for what you need , matt screen, gaming , stability , OS , SDR movies , price. For most people the tier down makes most sense . Samsung D , LG C4, Sony WOLED . They will save money and think they are near perfect unless it's buggy or wrong settings ,
Anyway don't buy, the 2025 TVs will be sooo much better.

From what I recall Classy Tech saying is that LG changed the way DTM works but they only made this adjustment in Filmmaker Mode. The is the only mode I can use it as like you said, if you use it in other modes it blows everything out. I can see this being useful in a bright room but it's far too bright for my room and often makes the colors look off.

Tech with KG showed game mode with SDR content, that's where the LG G4 comes short, the Samsung S90D was brighter and more vibrant than it. And my number one usecase is probably SDR game mode content, which is upsetting. A TV that can do it all except what I use it for the most :/

Its dynamic enough with gradation preffered on and will not sear the retinas in a bright scene. If i want a brighter image brightess preffered with a bit of dynamic contrast works quite well. @TomTomdog. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Just remember that I did have reality creation off. But I did notice that the g4 does look a very, very small amount more clear when you look really hard at them. Although this is what I personally noticed, it doesn't make the A95L a worse tv. I noticed that in other scenes with lots of highlights, for example, a big explosions. Or a big ball of fire, the A95L did a better job of maintaining highlight details. All because of lgs dynamic tone mapping was on. With dtm on it does help with brightness but clips highlight details and I personally tend to really like my highlight details and would prefer the details over the brightness anyday. And this has been a thing for lg and there dynamic tone mapping for a few years now. All they need to do is make it a little bit more refined while at the same time keeping the color purity similar to a qd oled and that would be nice lol

Some say s95d is dull due to the matte screen, others say its brighter than g4 and absorbs strong lightsources better than any tv, but we dont kmow yet if this will bother people or not. But I prefer LG even with 200 nits lower peak brightness if that is the case. Its the processing for me, adjustment and the ability to tune so many settings and now colors brightness improvement that seem to be in the same ballpark as the 2023 s95C had. But we still need to get proper test of s95D to confirm if that matte screen is bad or not noticeable at all.

@MrReaperder2 default 50 for HDR content to to high in my personal opinion. Sdr content makes more sense to be at 50. Also when setting the tv up through the spears and munsil disc. Putting the sharpness up creates halos and small artifacts through its set up process in the sharpness section. Doesn't look good. Just because something is set to 50 put the bix doesn't mean that you should keep it that. Way. Putting rc on low to medium in hdr is plenty if you wsnt any extra sharpness and clarity.
