Could you please tell me which residence would be close to Lassonde building?
Though you get to pick your top 3 residences, usually you will get sorted into residences based on your degree. For the Lassonde Building and the Lassonde School of Engineering (Bergeron Center), the closest residence buildings are Calumet (Shown in Video), Stong and Bethune. Most likely if you are doing an Engineering degree you will already be placed here, since York tries to put you close to where your classes will be!

Hi, I'm staying in a single room, the double rooms are twice the size and with covid you couldn't have a roommate so you got the whole room to yourself; but for the 2022-23 year, I'm not too sure if they are bringing back roommates, so the double rooms may have two people instead of one.
Hello, I have a question about the shelf above the desk in your room. Is it attached to the desk or is it attached to the wall? I'm just trying to figure out if I can move around the desk at all
Hi! The shelf is attached to the wall, however, it moves along the wall holding onto the wooden plank! So you can move both the desk and the shelf.
Hi, I just applied to Pond and Calumet yesterday for 2022-2023 academic year. Would it be difficult to get an offer since I applied so late? And if I don't get an offer from these two, would York just reject me? Or they would put me into a different residence? Thanks for sharing!
When you apply you just pick your preferred two residence buildings, but York might not give you the ones you picked! For me, I picked Bethune and Stong, but York actually gave me Calumet and I'm glad they did! Ahah

With Covid, the 2021-22 year only had single rooms, but I think for next year they will bring back the doubles option, where you will have a roommate. Calumet, Pond and the first 6 levels of Bethune have suite-style dorms like the one in this video. The rest have the traditional dorms where you have your room and a shared washroom/shower for the whole floor. So it depends on what you want for privacy! I prefer the suite because you only have like 5 suitemates and there is less traffic in the washrooms. As far as the quiet residences, they are all located on the outskirts of campus so they are all relatively quiet.

Which residence is best for a Fresher entering the Film Faculty
A lot of the film and arts students are in Complex 1 residence buildings. Those are Winters, Tatham Hall, Vanier, and Founders. It’s because these residence buildings are the closest to the Art Buildings.
