It looks extremely well made, thanks for the review Nigel. I didn't see any clear parts for the search lights and planes canopy. Even in 1/700 I mold, the canopies and cast them with clear fast curing epoxy glue, it works really well. I don't know if there was Aichi reconnaissance planes or not on the Yamato, I personally don't care, it makes a nice touch of color on my ship and rivets counters are not welcome in my house... There is a great photo of the Yamato on line, during the end of the construction in Kure with working shops built on the deck and great details in the back (ships and the city of Hiroshima). When I print resin, I remove the supports before curing (it feels like cutting styrene, after curing it's almost like glass).👋🏻
I think I will be getting this in the new year. Just started the 1/350 USS Iowa. First time I've done a boat. Tons of PE but pretty nice tbh, so far it seems to be ready to bend... not sure how this is done, but it makes it very straight forward.
I have never built a ship but I am leaning towards buying this kit. Wish I could find a video on working with resin before I would tackle something like this.
This kit just seems to get better and better. Great in depth review. Thanks.
looks like another kit i want, thanks Nigel for sharing this amazing ship!

Tempting, however I just ordered the 1/32 Special Hobby IAR-81... Romanian in-laws, a lovely looking aircraft, and good reviews.
Great review of this lovely kit Nige as you know I’ve got the deluxe kit and it’s by far the better of the 1/350 Yamato kits out there .
Does look like a very nice kit.

Looks like a great kit, and as you say a bargain compared to the Pontos option. Hmm.. maybe something to evaluate for the increasing pile of stash 😂
Great part 2 Nigel, the kit looks fantastic. I'm interested to see how long it remains so competitively priced.
There is already talk of a rise on the second batch.
Thank you for this video. I'm waiting the Takao
Very Fire are sending that one over.. looking forward to possibly the first review?
@NigelsModellingBench yes please
I'm really tempted to buy this as my first ship kit!
Would you recommend sticking with the standard kit as a first ship kit?
Is it better to drill out port holes? I was just going to darken with a wash.
I drill mine
Great review Mr Nigel! Got a question, scale difference aside, would you compare it with the GlowB one?
Thank you very much.
This one is much nicer in my opinion. I have been told, accuracy wise, the 1/200 Glow2B is the worst kit out there??
@@NigelsModellingBench Thank you very much for the response, in fact watching both your reviews, the very fire looks nicer.
Same with a kitty and Tap🙀
Hi! What is the difference between the ADVANCED version and the DELUXE Kit version? Very thank you
I covered the differences in part one of this review. I will have the DX kit very soon, so you will see the difference.
