  • A quick little video showing the installation of brake shoes on a 2010 Club Car Precedent golf cart. It is recommended that you inspect your brake shoes yearly to avoid damage to your drums as well as safety while you drive. We carry all the parts shown in our videos on our website and would like your support by subscribing to our channel. Thanks

    Just installed brake shoes. One the drum fits perfectly. The other side the drum hits the brake shoes. I have plenty off slack in cable and adjustment star is all the way in...no luck.
    There are markings on brake shoes like 10L and one says 10T. I belive this is to be put on trailing and lead shoes..?

    This is not as easy as this video makes it look. This video has been edited to show you the easy completed steps, it doesn't show you the frustration of putting back the springs, retainer clip and aligning it with the adjusting wheel screw. If you are not very handy, don't try it because it could take you hours to put it back or you may not even be able to put it back together without the help of some one experienced at this.

    on tough jobs such as bottom spring or removing motor you seem to skip showing the hard stuff

    Great video. I'm about to tackle this job with a '93 Club Car DS. Do you know if the system is the same? Any major differences? thanks for your help.

    Looks like that drum & components were only on there for like 15 minutes or less, axle hub all new shiny and no brake shoe dust!

      +Norm Hamilton ......NO THEY ARE STAMPED 17L FOR LEADING SHOE AND 17T FOR TRAILING THESE MARKINGS SHOULD BE AT THE TOP WHEN REPLACED.

      @@jtwad on my cart 2017 Precedent the L was to the rear of the cart and T was to the front. Is that correct? Thats how they are when i got the cart

      @TheEMU135 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jtwad You would think by the letters that that would be the case but it is opposite. The 17T is the leading (front short shoe) and the17L is the trailing (rear longer shoe).

    Only showed the easiest steps. You need to mention the two different style shoes that go on each side so the adjuster wheel works properly.

    should both brakes be moving on one tire when u brake?

    • @pjpavelic
      @pjpavelic 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typically, the shoes should apply equal pressure on both drums when you depress the pedal. If not, your cables may be uneven or one is loose.

    • @NCSUME1
      @NCSUME1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      My mother in law's cables are unequal length and can be seen by how crooked the bracket behind the brake equalizer is (the passenger side is longer by about 1/4"). As a result, when the pedal pulls the brake equalizer the drivers side is the only brake that engages. Is there a way to adjust the cable length?

    I have tried to watch some of your videos they should be referred to as audios as they are all a waste of time because they have all been too dark.
    Do you have anything newer?
