Forecasting for Seasonality in Excel

Many industries have high fluctuation between seasons in their data and being able to calculate this in Excel can be useful when preparing budgets and forecasts. Taken from the longer session on “Techniques for Better Forecasting in Excel”, Microsoft MVP Danielle Stein Fairhurst demonstrates some simple ways to extract the seasonality from existing data and apply it using linear regression to estimate future numbers.
