This was SO helpful!!! I spent 2 hours trying to read blogs and figure out how to do this before I stumbled across this video. I followed your step-by-step process and it worked on my first try! Thank you for sharing this.
Superb video. Tiny mistake: Instead of 8764, it is 8760, the number of hours in a year. Thank you Mark!!
Where did I get the extra 4 from? 🤣
I think it’s a typo that I managed to repeat everywhere. Oops! 😁
Great Mark! Thanks for the in-depth explanation. Thumbs up!!
Thanks Wayne. I'm glad it was useful.

A friend and I have been working on a sales forecasting project and this video is perfectly timed to help out with it.
Glad it was helpful!
The biggest issue is when somebody says "but how does it calculate that number". Unfortunately, you then need an advanced statistics degree to understand the algorithm.
@@ExcelOffTheGrid I purchased four books on the topic from amazon and you are right it is a lot of complex math.
@ExcelOffTheGrid can this be used for non revenue data...eg. number of patients seen monthly by a hospital over time?
Yes, it can. It works with any numbers which have a cyclical nature.
@@ExcelOffTheGrid Brilliant! Thanks so much!
