That big cos pasture is really fun to fish. Not as many fish as back in the really dense forested section but it’s fun having fish shoot out of places you’d never expect them to be in
That's different looking than the western slope native cutts ive seen here in colorado. They tend to have yellow pectoral fins and a small cut on the throat. That looks closer to a greenback from the front range but it is definitely not one of those either. You have a very unique native trout there, i would keep that place top secret. Very nice. Thanks for the vid!
That’s quite interesting. Like I said in the video they were beautiful! I don’t think many people fish here. And I won’t be sharing the location. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Tight lines🎣
Thanks for confirming that! Also thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea….I just checked the guidebook and yeah you’re right. Ig no more using grasshoppers😅
Awesome stream. It is worth keeping a secret. I know from experience that meadow hold some surprisingly large fish
It really is! I saw probably 3 or 4 fish that were a surprise size wise. I want to go back and fly fish it sometime.
Beautiful fish 👍👍
Thanks!

It was pretty fun! The fish were a little spread out but the quality made up for it. I’ll be going back for sure.
Great video, beautiful fish
Thanks man! Tight lines🎣

These are Colorado River cutts. Also, note that this place is artificial flies and lures only.
