    Thank you!!
    1) This is actually useful information. This is ten times faster than trying to use the full blade. I was making the same mistake until I watched this video.
    2) Thank you for not putting ten minutes of self-praise and promo on here. Your video wasn't a second longer than needed. This is the perfect model video for what all other TH-camrs need to copy. The intro and ending combined are less than 5% of the overall video length.

Been doing floors for many years. That is how you do it. Except, I use a 8" scraper and I stand up. Screw that 1" at a time. When you first start with a new blade, you can push through with the entire width of the blade. Use the edge when the blade starts to wear.. you could also use a good gel varnish remover for oil base, it breaks it down and comes up very easy. Do sections at a time. Before you scrape the treated area, apply a new section to let it do its breaking down. By the time you clean the previous area the new treated area is ready for scraping... than just repeat until complete. Best with the use of the gel kind. It can be rolled on with a roller. Just wear very protective gloves, goggles, knee pads and respirator.. I always keep a bucket of water close by incase I get some on my skin I can rinse quickly. But the method shown in the video does work. Just very slow..

David Dentici Do you have any tips on how to remove the glue and is still fresh? My friends just laid carpet squares on the concrete a few weeks ago then the rains came again and they want to get rid of everything. It's the blue really sticky glue and still very soft.

Hey I have a job coming up and there is one layer of floor glue from carpet. I have a nice $250 Bosh hammer drill with a 6" floor scraper attatchment. I feel like this will do the job easy and the heads are durable. I just havent had to do such a big area like I do now. What do you think?

I found a 1675 watt hair dryer, a 3" sharp paint scraper, and a rubber mallet to be effective. Just lay the hair dryer down on the floor blowing toward the area you're scraping and it softens the glue and heats the scraper blade at the same time allowing for relatively easy scraping. I hit the end of the scraper with the mallet to scrape up the glue and hardly any glue is left on the cement. Keep the scraper at a 45 degree angle. The glue rolls up as you scrape. I took someone else's tip and started scraping right to left instead of straight in front of me and it helps.

I've been doing floors for years and have come across this same kind of work. When I get jobs like this I'm happy as can be because they are on the easier side of flooring. It only gets harder as you go up. That kind of scraper will kill your back and hands. You want knee pads and a quality scraper that is at least a foot and a half. It is very important that you buy a GOOD scraper. Lowe's & home Depot both sale a palm scrapper for around 20$ and it works quite well. Make sure you buy a 4 inch scraper. Anything bigger will get caught up on things, anything smaller will take forever to scrape. 4 inch blades are ideal for floors and are also affordable. When you start buying larger blades you'll have to pay a lot more for less. Stay away from 5 & 6 inch blades. Some people like stand up scrapers but from experience I am going to tell you flat out it is a bad idea. They will kill your back and it is hard to get leverage to scrape. I have years of experience doing floors professionally and believe me when I say that us pros absolutely hate stand up scrapers for the most part. When you're on your knees you can angle the scraper just right and you get the right leverage to really scrape hard. When you scrape, you don't want to push forward ever. Scrap from right to left (opposite if left handed) and only cut in about half of the blade. Right to left cut in a little. Right to left cut in a little. Coming from the side gives you leverage. Sometimes flip the scaper for better results. Change blade as needed. Stay away from products such as gel and paint thinner and so forth. This kind of job is relatively easy and only requires a good scrapper and a bunch of blades.

@@andykalin6526 You can try it but I don't think the blade will hold it's edge long enough. Glue comes up really easy with a sharp razor blade So you'll have to constantly sharpen it. 4 inch blades are the best way to go. And they come in a 20 pack or something like that. You'll probably get a 3x3 area up before needing to replace the blade. I would save that 6 inch blade for thin set. If you don't have a scraper yet, Lowe's has a really good 4 inch wide palm scarper. I put it through it paces and it's holding up well. It's around 20$.

That's pretty much what I do, but with a standing Bully scraper that has a T handle bar on top for force and a leg on one bottom side for kicking. The blade is 8" wide. You can always file the blades if you're trying to be cost effective. Save a dollar here and there and suddenly you can afford a new Compound Sliding Mitre Saw!

David this is like Home Owners Gone Wrong....you can rent a machine from Home Depot...or any DIY store.....and take that right up....you would spend a month doing any bedroom and lots of money or razor blades....any Chisel with a Think Metal Blade will work. There is a $30.00 high rated one at Home Depot..but I would always recommend a Professional Rental.....for 4 to 8 hours....you will save time and money easily plus your back, hands etc. I write this comment for Constructive Criticism ONLY... have a good one.
