HOLY SMOKES BRO! STOP!!!!!!! Get adhesive remover. Formula 626 is the best. Spread it on the floor, let sit 1hr, scrape off adhesive in long large strips standing up with a FLOOR SCRAPER, and be done.

Take the rubber handle off and slide it up into a 6' cast iron pipe. I'm currently stripping 4,000 sq ft that way

David this is like Home Owners Gone Wrong....you can rent a machine from Home Depot...or any DIY store.....and take that right up....you would spend a month doing any bedroom and lots of money or razor blades....any Chisel with a Think Metal Blade will work. There is a $30.00 high rated one at Home Depot..but I would always recommend a Professional Rental.....for 4 to 8 hours....you will save time and money easily plus your back, hands etc. I write this comment for Constructive Criticism ONLY... have a good one.

I found a 1675 watt hair dryer, a 3" sharp paint scraper, and a rubber mallet to be effective. Just lay the hair dryer down on the floor blowing toward the area you're scraping and it softens the glue and heats the scraper blade at the same time allowing for relatively easy scraping. I hit the end of the scraper with the mallet to scrape up the glue and hardly any glue is left on the cement. Keep the scraper at a 45 degree angle. The glue rolls up as you scrape. I took someone else's tip and started scraping right to left instead of straight in front of me and it helps.

Everyone here in the comments has a different way that they swear by. Bottom line do whatever works best for you. For a smooth finish slab this is one of the best ways. Don't be fooled, its always labor intensive. So be prepared. And yes..... Knee pads save your knees.

Yeah....screw all that. Rent a rotor hammer and 3" chisel bit and keep it sharp. And chemical stripping is way too messy and leaves WAY too much contamination in the concrete for good tile bonding.
