Appreciate word picture of roundabout with Israelite......12 days or 40 yrs... God is with us... That was encouraging to me.... one can be tempted to lose hope on going roundabout.... made me smile when you said God was with them......I know that....but needed to hear it said....... Heard this sit.n in my old truck eat.n lunch Thx U guys Fritz
I love this-Jesus saved me in an instant when I was 19, but I am 57 now and it is indeed taking all of this time to “get Egypt out” of me! 😊 I am always learning and growing! 😊
Thank you for reminding us God wants us to 'come with' Him. He is our author and we are to be His agents on our round-about lives❣️ The pounding hammer was the perfect soundtrack for todays lesson about God crafting & shaping our wooden rough-hewed block-heads & hearts❣️ Praise God for His sense of humor❣️
I feel like you made this one for me! I’ve been in the wilderness for a long time. I’ve known it. I’ve known God has been with me. I just hadn’t heard it said the way you described it today. I grew up in Haiti as my parents were missionaries there. They had a saying that translates “ Take/carry courage!” I feel like I can do that better. This is one I will listen to again. Thank you.
The timing of hearing this could not have come at a better time. I have been on the roundabout way in ministry for a long time. Thanks for the encouragement
I’m in career desert. 40 years in my dessert with God is better than thousand in paradise without Him!!! 9:05 there is a gift in the wilderness…there weren’t being productive, they were accomplishing stuff, didn’t have an army, BUT they were invited to know they were loved by God when nothing else being accomplished by them. I will not give up, continue to show up and try my best, God is with me in my round about way and working a great story, moving sand mountains and giving want I need each day!
I am so tired of being on the roundabout. It's a weary visit. I yearn for the mountaintop. But what I have learned from being in this grind is that my choice is to look up. And look up, I do. I need His face to shine on mine, and I seek that. In the rear view mirror I will see the value of the roundabout, but weary I am. And yet I treat every moment of these weary days as a moment to draw closer to the promise He sustains me with. I don't understand, but I trust. He is holding me tight.
Oh my goodness! I would think it’s very difficult to find a silent place to record. I thought the pounding was appropriate with the woodcarving part 😂Thank you John for your words of wisdom
Yes love Shakespeare, also love the King James Bible and it’s much easier to read than WS. So I don’t get why people want to abandon the KJ for lesser versions when we have the most beautiful book ever written.

Praying God will hold you and surround you with his presence as you wait. God is still in control. Be Blessed Bucky
Is part of this from Mitch Albom’s book? Have A Little Faith?
(Great lesson❤)
John how about using a small white board which might make it easier for you.
It’s so funny that you’re talking about “rough hewing” and there’s the sound of wood chopping in the background!
Der Mensch denkt, Gott lenkt!
