As a 50something year old going back into the workforce (looking for a job), I’m learning that I do have skills and a desire to learn. I still have years to give ❤ God hold my roadmap and I know I can trust in Him. ❤
Thank you John for another great start to my day! 💖 As we age the old brain starts to do less remembering 😩 you, don’t seem to suffer from that 🥰 I try to learn something new everyday, it’s remembering it 🤣 Blessings 🙏
I find your intertwining of history intriguing… how God has woven the stories together to bring His word to life and fruition. Jesus still stands as King of Kings.
Wow.. thank you John. I grew up in India with my parents so admiring E Stanley Jones and mentioning his sayings. I left india at 13 and never got to “know” the man. Thanks to you bringing him up, I will now embark on a quest on why my folks admired him so! Expand your conversion.. wow, wow,wow
John quoted from E. Stanley Jones" as saying, "Don't be afraid to say I'm sorry, I was wrong," &...what a difference it would make..."! Earlier today Greg Laurie said, ...the 8 most meaningful words a spouse can say is "I'm sorry, I was wrong, I love you." (Nice ❤️ addition.) I feel like I got a double dose of instructions today❣️ I love you❣️
E.Stanley Jones was in the US during WW2 and couldn't return to India where his family remained. He started the Ashram movement in US & Canada. He wrote The Christ Of The American Road at that time. He authored 28 books. The Divine Yes, was co-authored by his daughter Eunice Jones Matthews, who traveled with her father and was his secretary. She died in 2016 at 101. 🙏🏼
❤ Keeping the mind and soul open to learning something new! Its right here, with you and the team, your messages help me to keep learning and be a "conversion" 😉❤️
I find it sad and tragic that the example of Jesus Christ alone was not enough to model nonviolence and a Hindu with very questionable character and motives was the inspiration for men who claim to be disciples and followers of Christ. We need to use discernment about who we learn from and what we learn.
In addition to this podcast, I'm reading a short book by Henri Nouwen, a book by Henry Blackabee, and another by Rachel Jankovic. I'm also trying to learn to homestead in a suburban site so that I can become more able to help others.

I’m retired from working for a paycheck, not from using my heart, strength and mind to do God’s kingdom work!
