So awesome digging up my Clanranald origins. My great grandfather came over on the boats. I still remember him cursing at us kids in Gaelic. Thanks for the step into the past
This is my favourite castle which I got to visit on my trip around the Highlands. I love how overgrown it is inside and being on a tidal island adds to the amazing location. Hope to go back one day!
Great informative Videos. Just got to love them Scottish Castles. It is nice to see that it is not only me who is Castle crazy. Keep it up Castle Girl!👍
It would be nice to see this castle restored! If it belonged to me and i was rich enough to restore it , i wouldn't make it off limit's to the public!☺️
Thank you for this video, Castle Girl. Have you considered adding something of a bibliography for the videos, citing in which publications/letters the specific castles are referenced, for those interested in further study? I had considered doing something similar with the castles of Germany many years ago, but never followed up on it.
Hi, the castle is super nice. The drone recordings are still a little choppy. We really liked the castle. Thanks. We wish a good Week. Greetings Alex and Alex
Hi thanks for the feedback I appreciate your input. Just so you know this is a hobby as I work full time teaching. Maybe I should start a go fund me page to finance my project. I could put it towards future products with smoother editing and videoing?
@@thecastlegirl7033 Hi sorry that was not a criticism. Of course it's a hobby. We know how difficult it is with the drone. We really liked the video. Greetings Alex and Alex
One of our favourite places to go when we holiday in Ardnamurchan. Just a suggestion but would it be possible in future to turn the music down? It's really difficult to hear your commentary! Love the videos nonetheless.
❤❤❤ i love it 😍😍😍 Do you think this place is haunted or no ? I'm so curious about abandoned places and makes me want to come visit in the night, but I'm scared 🥲🥲🥲 Greetings from Jakarta Indonesia 🇮🇩😁🙏

I find your channel very interesting, but I'm afraid it's sometimes a bit difficult to follow exactly what you're saying. Tioram beginning with a slender t, I can understand that. In Irish, dry is tirim, though in Munster this is pronounced - trim, but I didn't catch what you said that the locals called this castle.
Why can't it be made into a home? It's ludicrous. You can't gain access anyway It's unsafe. If it was modernised it would still be there in at least some part.
Thanks. Nice video. A couple of my ancestors where born and died in that Castle.

What an amazing location for a castle. Hopefully an agreement can be made to save it. Fantastic drone footage and thanks for sharing!
you do a great job of informing/explaining which is not as common as it should be... thanks :)

Thank you for your comment. Dorlin Castle is what it’s known as to the locals.
If they want to turn it in to house fine let them fly in and out v a helicopter the surrounding area should never be denied to the public
