Gundam: The Battle Master 2 (ガンダム ザ バトルマスター2) is a 2D Fighting video game published by Bandai, Natsume released for the Playstation on 1998.
It is the direct sequel to Gundam: The Battle Master, released exclusively for the Sony Playstation in Japan. It would later be localized under the name Gundam Battle Assault.

The original models of airplanes transformed is from the iconic Grumman F-14 Tomcat

And these are some of THE best 2D sprites ever. The way they conveyed the weight ,power and impact through 2D is almost unmatched.
This is 10 times better than the American Battle Assault version. Now that I've seen the Battle Master games, I see that Battle Assault 1 was not done very well at all for a game that's supposed to have a story. But I love how it helped introduce so many Universal Century characters in America at a time when all we were really used to was Gundam Wing and the After Colony suits. Battle Assault 2 was way better.

i bought this when it came out in japan . it cost an arm and a leg to import it. i had to buy a chipped PS to play it . lol omg those were the days
So these were just the original Japanese version of the GUNDAM BATTLE ASSAULT 2 game. I owned both the North American versions during the PSone era. Fun games.

このゲームだけではないがガンダムのゲームって左を向くとシールドが右につくのね。突然サウスポーになるね。
The story (Of Battle Master games) are kinda interesting though (Despite I don't understand Japanese language) If only Bamco could adapt it as a Gundam spinoff.
who the hel are these characters? I tried to look up characters like Gallus Goldine and nothing shows up besides this game. did any of these ever appear in the anime like the characters in the US version did?
These are characters original to this game. This takes place in its own continuity
pilot glory is so sexy and wonderful in combat an existing game that must be played yes or yes gundam is the best in anime style combat games

This is the JP version (A.K.A the Original), Battle Assault are basically the localized version of these games.

I had to say this, Some of the pilots of those Mobile Suits (MS) are kinda "questionable" to put it lightly. (At least Battle Assault games uses characters from the anime to pilot their respective MS)
So far the playable MS are mostly from the UC timeline (With the final boss that comes from a Spinoff manga).
what do you mean by "questionable"? yes other pilots are using those gundams, and that's awesome rather than see amuro piloting rx78 for the 1000000th billion time
@@Zontar82 I mean please check the pilot of Sazabi and any other funnel based mobile suits and see if that makes sense to you.
@@anggakarapreviandana2877 It doesn't have to "make sense", otherwise we should start talking about how questionable the pilots Who uses funnels in Gundam 00 really are
@@Zontar82 I'm not mad at it but as I said the Pilot of the Sazabi is very questionable among other example. I don't mind about the characters on this game but I do think the character in question is quite "unfitting" (and this is me put it lightly) to use a MS like Sazabi.
its a one on one figthing game, how can they take more time in story than in the fight? its not an rpg!!!
what's your effing problem? go play latest sfv, which is absolute trash in terms of story (and gameplay too)
