A fate that awaited him, with or w/o being "pinched", similar to how Jackie Aprile died. At least the Feds let his wife and daughter freely visit him as he wasted away. In real life, I doubt that happens much, a dying prisoner MIGHT, might be granted humane release to die in a hospice and at least have family with him in his last few weeks, but, a Federal judge isn't bound to do so. It would have been even more sad to have him die in the prison hospital ward, ALONE.
Beansie got what was coming to him. 1. He has a short memory 2. Richie put him in action 3. He told Richie he would step up 4.he did not offer soft drinks of choice with that veal parm. = total disrespect
What exactly was "uncomfortable to watch" about the fight between Tony and Ralph? It was one of the most beautiful moments of the entire series. I think Tony went too easy on him.
For me, I would say Johnny Sacks death was the worst. Simply because his story was so heartbreakingly realistic. he died due to health issues not blazing gunfire. A close second to that was Adrianna's demise.
Ralph was to the Sopranos the same thing that Micah Bell was to the Van Der Linde gang. Except in Ralph's case he started to show remorse but maybe too late.
Good video, I remember every one of those deaths. The only critique I have is the video didn't show why Christopher Moltisanti chose crime life over Adrianna. Christopher Moltisanti was toying with the idea of leaving the mob with Adrianna but, after seeing a guy who was about his age with a family getting into an old beat-up car, he realized that in order to maintain the lifestyle he's become accustomed to, he would have to continue to be a wise guy.
He took an oath to the mob. When you become a "made" man you promise to forsake everything in your life except the mob. Once Christopher found out Adrianna was talking with the feds, he had no choice but to distance himself from her or he too would have been whacked. He did what any "soldier" in the mob would do.
Christopher was too into the life to ever consider going straight. Plus he always had the H Chipper hanging around his neck. Most of those guys seemed very unwilling to be legit, they'd rather make money off of other people's costly vices which they could exploit. The only guy I believe really wanted out for good reasons was Eugene. How'd that work out for him? In for a penny, in for a pound.
Tony had a sweet face hiding a monster. R.I.P. James Gandolfino. They left out the scene where he takes his daughter to a college for an interview and while she was gone he strangled an enemy with a wire.
The intensity and sadness of the scene where they shoot puss is unmatched. There was no music, just the rocking sound from the boat. The Intense stare from tony with tears in his eyes into the fear of puss' eyes.
If Tony had a brain, he could have had Pussy spy for him, feed the mut's at the FBI all bullshit and learn what they were up to. Philly /South Jersey boys did this to the N.J. State Police for 4/5 years. Saw North Korean's do the same to the C.I.A.in the late 70's. Double Agents do work.
@@gtnick86 No real honor anymore. Hold the life of his wife over his head. Scaro did this in Philly and South Jersey. He was 5 steps ahead of all the law enforcement agencies.
Very well put together. Big Pussy's desth was the hardest one for me. I really felt for him and also when he made the guys laugh one last time. Heartbreaking
He was told not to deal heroin did so anyway and when caught was willing to give information to the government that would have put his friends away for life
@@fritzforsthoefel8031The fact that he disobeyed a direct order and the fact that you are not meant to deal drugs at all in the mob would have been enough to get him killed anyway.
Ralph’s son Justin was actually shot by a friend, not a brother he doesn’t have. Also, Ralph had Vito take out Jackie Jr., not Tony, who took a hands-off approach to the act and left it solely in Ralph’s hands.
It's sad how little the FBI actually cared about the people they forced into informing. They didn't care whether or not they lived or died, just as long as they kept the information pouring in. In their eyes, everyone is an asset and everyone is expendable.
Not always true. Most of the time C.I.'s are pulled fast when intelligence even hints at trouble. C.I. has no choice. There is a process involved, emergency code. Adriana could have had a team of agents be there when Silvio came to pick her up. BOOM Silvio locked up. Then he is flipped. She lives.
@@staten84 they're an illegal and criminal organization. They do a lot of illegal and shady shit. They should either be consolidated with the other intelligence agencies for compliance and regulatory purposes or they should just be outright abolished imo.
Christopher's death hit me the hardest because: 1. I think he would have been the most important ally to Tony during the "War" with NY that took place in the final episodes. 2. The way he died, by Tony's hands. After all, Christopher gave up for Tony.
I recently watched the show and vaguely knew about the famous final scene, so I knew what was coming for Tony. Tony was absolutely reckless at times--especially in the last season--and I figured this was partially done to soften the blow of Tony's death later. When he killed Chrissy, I thought "Yeah T fucking deserves what's coming to him."
Bobby was the most devastating! BUT I didn’t want Christopher to die either and I CRIED for both!! Didn’t care for Richie or Ralph at all. Oh and Ade 😭😭 cried for that one too
Chris was garbage. Got what he deserved. Only sad thing about that scene is how it was Tony doing it that understated way. But also weird how Tony ends up killing both his close relatives in sort of mercy killings. He killed Tony B to spare him from Phil torturing him to death. Then he kills Christopher to spare Christopher the pain of his addictions, and also to spare himself and others from Christopher’s fuckups.
The Sopranos was brilliant on several levels. When Leotardo's skull is crushed, there is this restrained yet slapstick humor in onlookers revulsion at what they see.
There’s one fate worse than death that’s not mentioned here : uncle Junior’s drifting in dementia. I watched the series a long time ago but that last visitation scene from Tony is still vivid in my mind, especially these few last words they exchange, and Tony as the boss of the family, in the smooth peace of this nursing home, betrays the Omerta and commits the worse sin of the mafia by mentionning to his uncle how he used to be part of "that thing that’s ours", and Uncle Jun blankly replies "oh, I was part of that ?" and you can tell by his quiet astonished tone that something remote echoes somewhere deep within in his broken mind, but he has definitely become unable to remember what it is...
Adriana's murder as she begged for her life was so gut wrenching. I had always had a crush on both the character and Drea de Matteo, and the last line she got was, "Please, no..." Brutal.
As much as Chris was a loose cannon, he tried to rectify his demons by going clean, and trying to maintain a good position in the mob circle. It can easily be forgotten how terrible the people were around him, especially Tony. Never supportive of his sobriety, manipulate him (with the whole adriana and him thing grabbing a bite to eat lol), Chris wanted some general respect from Tony as a human being, but he knew he would never get it. Its a crippling 'family' to be in.
The word "devastating" is definitely not the right word to describe some of these deaths. The audience was just waiting and hoping for some of these to happen. Especially Richie.
Some errors: - Richie’s kid was never confirmed to be gay. He was a dancer, and Janice said “and so what if he does turn out to be gay?” - Ralphie had Vito kill Jackie Jr, not Tony - Adriana was told Christopher tried committing suicide, not that he was in an accident - Are you sure Phil spent 20 years in prison? I don’t think that was ever mentioned
Louis Lombardi-every time I see that dude, that scene with him and “Big Puthy” in the car immediately pops into my brain…that lisp made his character! 😄😄😄
I got the whole box set of this show. It didn’t really surprise me when Christopher died, he was already having lots of deadly turmoil with Tony previously anyway when he tried to kill him during the whole Adriana situation
One of Ralph’s sons struck the other with an arrow?! Ralph had one son, the one that was struck. The other kid was his sons friend. The other kids parents was at the hospital and Ralphie attacked them
They weren’t both Ralph’s son’s. The one who got an arrow in him was his son! The other was his sons mate. I don’t care if he’s got a hundred kids with arrows in their heads - Paulie Gualtieri
The thing about Bobby he was a sympathetic character right up to when he murdered an innocent man. It was hit first murder which is strange because he was considered a made man and to be made you have to "make your bones" which he didn't until after being made.
@@ftniceberg874 It’s fiction and don’t act like you have never found complicated characters likable on any show ever, so cut out this holier then thou. Entertainment is supposed to be an escape from reality.
Not on this video, but I think the killing of Fat Dom from New York by Carlo and Sil was one of the more brutal killings on the show. Carlo stabbing Dom several times in the gut with that huge butcher knife, while Sil was on Dom's back... This killing was also one of the key events in helping to draw Phil into going to war with the Jersey family, which ends up getting Bobby killed and Sil as good as dead in a coma.
@@seanmanzelli7681 : Maybe. I do not know what the "final" straw was. Tony S curb stomping "Coco" Cogliano might have been the final straw, but honestly it was a war that was likely to happen either way. Phil never got over Tony Blundetto killing his brother, and Tony S. not giving Phil a chance to kill Tony Blundetto himself, so one could rationally make an argument that was the "final" straw, even though it was not the final act of disagreement between the them. Earlier on, Tony and Phil had that thing over Phil owing him money, and Tony crashing Phils car. Then much later on the thing with Phil-Tony S over the asbestos contract. There was also the fact the Phil hated the way the Jersey family did their ceremony when they "made" guys. And of course the fact that Phil killed Vito for being homosexual, which pissed Tony and the other Jersey guy off. ...etc. As you say, a lot of "fire" between the families. "Coco" Cogliano's beatdown might have been the final straw or just one of many straws. I do not know. But Phil was always going to eventually have his pound of flesh over his brother's death, and Phil not being allowed to kill Tony B himself....
@@billp4 : Agree. Killing was a heat of the moment reaction ( over reaction) by Carlos. What Dom said wasn’t a hanging offense Especially for a made man
People were sad Richie died?! I was more surprised when Janice did it but was like "okay fair enough, thats pretty undignified. Killed by Janice Soprano"
Adriana's death was tough to watch. She was a sweetheart who loved her Chris and was loyal and supportive of him to the very end. Bobby Jr.'s death is runner up. He was like the Winnie the Pooh of gangsters. He could be a stone cold killer if he really had to, but for the most part, he would rather be a selfless family man who avoids violence if at all possible
For me... There's a death that, more than a fact is, in itself, a terrible and unstoppable process, starting right from the first episode: Christopher Moltisanti... Boy, How I suffered this death... He was, along with Tony Soprano, the center of all death and treason's swirl; they were both, the only two characters who saw, in slow motion, the hypocrisy of being among a bunch of so-called mobster friends...
Much like the show Sons Of Anarchy, the Sopranos featured characters who were the lowest of the low in our society. Despite their claims of "brotherhood" and "club loyalty" they often killed each other and family members!
I felt sorry for Bobby Bacala as he was always the most likable of all the characters. While he was an occasional and reluctant killer himself, he wasn't a psychopath like people like Christopher or Paulie, both of whom would have both been whacked out by season 3. (This is one area the sopranos got wrong).
@@davecobb6348 Yes and that was very unrealistic. IRL he would have been killed multiple times over for passing information about the family to NY, and holding out/not paying up. Either one of those would have gotten him a ride in the trunk of a car

I bought the series years ago
What exactly was "uncomfortable to watch" about the fight between Tony and Ralph? It was one of the most beautiful moments of the entire series. I think Tony went too easy on him.
Lol Damn
But the fact that Ralph’s son had just gotten hurt made it kinda rough
Anyone surprised at Ralph’s hairpiece coming off at the end?
@@thehammer4625 I think that was the biggest shock among all the characters cos he literally made fun of everyone based on their appearance. Lol
I've only recently watched the whole series. Don't know why I left it so long to do so. It's epic. Amazing.
Same here. I was in Jr. High when it came out. Never watched any of it until this year. Best show I've ever watched. Absolutely loved it.
For me, I would say Johnny Sacks death was the worst. Simply because his story was so heartbreakingly realistic. he died due to health issues not blazing gunfire. A close second to that was Adrianna's demise.
Johnny was probably the only one out of all of them with real class. He never cheated on his wife, no goomad
Interesting but what I thought of it was, he realized he can never have a family like that with Adrianna.
@@mexicandaywalker4672 I never thought about that aspect, but that's also true.
What scene is that? What episode? I want to see it.
Tony had a sweet face hiding a monster. R.I.P. James Gandolfino. They left out the scene where he takes his daughter to a college for an interview and while she was gone he strangled an enemy with a wire.
Actually, an informant who was living under the Witness Protection Program. Tony ran across him by chance and recognized him.
He killed an informant who was in witness protection.
He fulfilled a standing order...kill a "rat". He saw one and did his "duty". Ruthless? Yes, but that was his BUSINESS.
Yeah that scene was brutal as well.
One of my favorite episodes
The intensity and sadness of the scene where they shoot puss is unmatched. There was no music, just the rocking sound from the boat. The Intense stare from tony with tears in his eyes into the fear of puss' eyes.
If Tony had a brain, he could have had Pussy spy for him, feed the mut's at the FBI all bullshit and learn what they were up to. Philly /South Jersey boys did this to the N.J. State Police for 4/5 years. Saw North Korean's do the same to the C.I.A.in the late 70's. Double Agents do work.
@@davidwadsworth8982 its more of an honour thing. Breaking oath is punishable by death. Sidenote - if Puss has flipped already, how can he be trusted?
She lives.
Not much has changed. They're destroying lives for ideas now.
Like real life
How is it sad? That’s the their job to bring down murdering crime families
THISSSS
I recently watched the show and vaguely knew about the famous final scene, so I knew what was coming for Tony. Tony was absolutely reckless at times--especially in the last season--and I figured this was partially done to soften the blow of Tony's death later. When he killed Chrissy, I thought "Yeah T fucking deserves what's coming to him."
@@Burzy109 💯
Chris would have just been hit by NY instead of Bobby. He would have died anyway
His drug addiction made him a liability
Bobby was the toughest death for me! Everyone liked Bobby, to me the most likable characters on the whole series.
Worst part IMO
Bobby's promotion made him a bigger target 😢
Thanks for explaining everything to us, without you I don't know what we would have done
The Sopranos was brilliant on several levels. When Leotardo's skull is crushed, there is this restrained yet slapstick humor in onlookers revulsion at what they see.
The Adrianna’s death was the number one most tragic death. The Sopranos is by far the best show and filmed entertainment EVER made.
Pussy's death is pretty close but yeah Adriana's is definitely number one
The thing with Christoper was he was already dead. Tony just hastened it.
We don't know that for sure and Tony definitely wanted him dead regardless
I was far more upset about Adriana’s dog dying than over half the characters on this list
the dog returns in a flash back from beyond with Adreana to Tony's wife Carmella
@@richardschneider4775 tonys reaction when he hears why the dog died is priceless
Two death scenes in the Sopranos Tracy's and Adriana's, both outstanding performances.
"She was a ho-wah!"
-Ralph
Ritchie was actually hilarious. 1, the bullet hole changes position and 2 he's clearly breathing when Tony walked in.
You can also see the hand of someone under the table pushing his chair to cause him to fall backward.
@@skullkrusher4078 Seriously????
Eugene pontecervo hit me the most. Geezer just hit the jackpot and STILL ended up offing himself.
Adriana's murder as she begged for her life was so gut wrenching. I had always had a crush on both the character and Drea de Matteo, and the last line she got was, "Please, no..."
Brutal.
Agreed.
A small error in your description of Ralph's death. His son was injured by a FRIEND. Ralph only had one kid.
Also, Tony did order the hit on Jackie Jr., That was Ralph’s call
As much as Chris was a loose cannon, he tried to rectify his demons by going clean, and trying to maintain a good position in the mob circle. It can easily be forgotten how terrible the people were around him, especially Tony. Never supportive of his sobriety, manipulate him (with the whole adriana and him thing grabbing a bite to eat lol), Chris wanted some general respect from Tony as a human being, but he knew he would never get it. Its a crippling 'family' to be in.
As a kid i glorified the mob. As a grown man i see lies it all is.
he sat on a fucking dog to death doing heroin
Chris was one of the biggest pieces of shlt on the show. He got less than he deserved at the end.
I thought Adrianas dog dying by being sat on by a junkie was pretty terrible as well! 🤨
Rest In Peace 🙏 Cozzette
That was honestly funny lmao
Yeah that one stole a gasp outta me
That was horrible, I have a adorable dog that I love to pieces, and that scene always tugged at my heart strings…yeah I know it’s just a tv show tho
Never watched the series so glad you gave commentary and put everything in perspective.
Saved me a ton of time, thank you. The Buscemi blast shocked me the most.
LOVE Big Brother, Tony! My brother was the same way. He died at 20 in the Viet Nam war. I love and miss you, Richie.
The word "devastating" is definitely not the right word to describe some of these deaths. The audience was just waiting and hoping for some of these to happen. Especially Richie.
Some errors:
- Richie’s kid was never confirmed to be gay. He was a dancer, and Janice said “and so what if he does turn out to be gay?”
- Ralphie had Vito kill Jackie Jr, not Tony
- Adriana was told Christopher tried committing suicide, not that he was in an accident
- Are you sure Phil spent 20 years in prison? I don’t think that was ever mentioned
Phil said it himself
@@dacharizard i think they're joking about how often phil brags about it in the show
Well put together. Thanks 👌👍👍
Great video. It's MUCH better than the title suggests.
Louis Lombardi-every time I see that dude, that scene with him and “Big Puthy” in the car immediately pops into my brain…that lisp made his character! 😄😄😄
His character didn’t die; that’s what we’re all discussing.
@@trudykennedy2087 I understand that-just making a humorous observation!
Phil's death was the most heartwarming piece of television I've seen.
The other kids parents was at the hospital and Ralphie attacked them
the mother of the other kid was ralphs ex-wife, and she attacked him, did you watch the show or is this all AI?
You forgot Vito’s biggest crime he stabbed Paulie in the heart with his betrayal
They weren’t both Ralph’s son’s. The one who got an arrow in him was his son! The other was his sons mate.
I don’t care if he’s got a hundred kids with arrows in their heads - Paulie Gualtieri
Adriannas death was brutal, and poor Bobby what a nice lad. Ah well great clips.
The thing about Bobby he was a sympathetic character right up to when he murdered an innocent man. It was hit first murder which is strange because he was considered a made man and to be made you have to "make your bones" which he didn't until after being made.
very good vid...you did well Grasshopper.....
Adriana's death is definitely the saddest by far
Adriana's death, or at least viewers reaction to it always amazed me. Who did they think these guys were?
@@ftniceberg874 It’s fiction and don’t act like you have never found complicated characters likable on any show ever, so cut out this holier then thou. Entertainment is supposed to be an escape from reality.

Adriana's death was the most heartbreaking death I've seen in any piece of media.
I enjoyed it.
great summary! can u share the name of the song playing through the video?
The most devastating death was the very last one in the last minute of the last episode. We didn't even see it.
Not on this video, but I think the killing of Fat Dom from New York by Carlo and Sil was one of the more brutal killings on the show. Carlo stabbing Dom several times in the gut with that huge butcher knife, while Sil was on Dom's back... This killing was also one of the key events in helping to draw Phil into going to war with the Jersey family, which ends up getting Bobby killed and Sil as good as dead in a coma.
it added to the fire but wasn't the final straw. It was coco, no?
Don't know why he stabbed him. Seemed like an ass kicking would've been enough.
@@billp4 : Agree. Killing was a heat of the moment reaction ( over reaction) by Carlos. What Dom said wasn’t a hanging offense Especially for a made man
Ruined a whole platter of meatballs too…
The kid throwing up was hilarious 😂
People were sad Richie died?! I was more surprised when Janice did it but was like "okay fair enough, thats pretty undignified. Killed by Janice Soprano"
Great work, thanks for sharing.
The look on that guy's face & the other guy throwing up when Phil got ran over Priceless.
Tony Didn't have Vito kill Jackie Jr, It was Ralphie.
Quite a few mistakes in this video.
@@trudykennedy2087 Vito shot him
Bobbys death was the hardest part for me! Loved him … he was a Kind hearted Person and so lovely…
Very well done!
This I'd a great video...explains a lot..how did Tony die?
ralph was so satisfiyng lmao, adriana and christopher were both so sad for their own reasons tho
As above so below
@@mexicandaywalker4672 Until one finds Faith.
Vito loved the Johnny Cakes! And the pool cue!!
The best part is the narration with upbeat music over everything for the duration of the video.
saddest part was when tony said that it's sopranoing time but wasn't able to soprano all over the crew
Paulie was one of the few who lived.
@@davecobb6348 Paulie worked a deal with Butchie from NY. Look closely, it's all there.
Bobby killed one person in total (the Fossamax pills salesman’s brother-in-law); he didn’t kill “occasionally.”
@@davecobb6348
Yes and that was very unrealistic. IRL he would have been killed multiple times over for passing information about the family to NY, and holding out/not paying up.
Either one of those would have gotten him a ride in the trunk of a car
Ralph was just THE BEST!
He made me belly laugh!
Thank you for making a summary of the series. Now , I don’t have to die of boredom watching all the crap to get to the good stuff.
Well Done 👍
In the show I watched.. It was never truly made clear if Ralph did set the barn fire...even when he was upset..he said, "No I did not".

David Chase confirmed in an interview that “of course” Ralph torched the stables.
How are you guys forgetting Christopher. What Tony did to him was a pretty intense death. Adrian's death was harsh too.
But really, Christopher was skirting death for a long time with his drug use.
@@SubdolphinXyou are absolutely right. But he did deserve a better death...
