I hate getting new fishing gear and having to wait to use it. I'm that one, throwing a light sinker in the front yard at 9pm. Let me know what you think of the combo after your first catch.
      And thanks for watching!!

That's good stuff right there, after dark yard casting!! I'm still very happy with this combo. Just used it last week, flipping my own Senkos.

My first casting setup was a SpeedSpool LFS Speedstick combo. It served me well, but I have since found myself gravitating towards Dobyn's & Shimano rods paired with Daiwa reels. But you can't argue with the value of Lews entry level equipment. I like that the TXS has dual brakes! I may have to try a higher end lews reel. I also prefer a clip style bait keeper. Good coverage of the reel my friend.

Thanks alot!! Shimano and Daiwa are two I for sure have on my list. Then I need to draw a line or I won't even need a tackle box anymore, and the back of my jeep will be full of 57 rigged up rod&reels (I say it like it's a bad thing🤷‍♂️)

What line type/test/length y’all recommend to use on this

On that combo and all my baitcasters, I run 30lbs braid with a 12lbs fluorocarbon leader, tied on with a FG Knot. The leader length starts at about 9ft and gets shorter with every new lure I tie on.
If you're not already entered for my latest GIVEAWAY, go check it out. There's two that are still open. GOOD LUCK!!

I liked it, but ended up giving it to someone just getting into bass fishing.
