  • This rifle has caused me so much hassle at one point I was going to set it on fire for a video to show my disgust at this thing. However, I am glad I didn't and this Diamond in the rough has now flourished thanks to some help from small UK businesses.

@13:36 YES! This was exactly how I played my first sniper game and loved it! HK416 on front, TAC41LS on back. Had a blast. Next time I'll grab the Ares Amoebe CCR (MP4K as I like to call it) with foldable stock and I'll reckon I'll be even more mobile. Can't wait for Silverback to release a folding stock for the LS

My TAC41A had a serious problem that nobody talked about: the barrel didn't sit still in the plastic stock. This resulted in the barrel moving sideways. To resolve this, I had to purchase a RIS handguard and print a 3D stabilizer for it to shoot accurately. I was disappointed as hell.

@JdrekAirsoft - I just received my tac41a, I see what you mean about the sideways movement. I cranked down the screws in the mag well and that seemed to reduce the movement but not completely eliminated. Can you share the 3D stabilizer you used in conjunction with the RIS hand guard?

I had no end of issues with the AEG style hop unit. I went through about 3 iterations before finally listening to Steve at Hadron who suggested I move to the GBB hop unit. This (along with the supporting Flamingo 60 bucking and WASP) was by far the best thing I did to my Tac. It's like a different rifle now entirely. The key thing is the way that the hop chamber holds the barrel, it uses a horse-shoe style clip that sits in the barrel cut outs, removing the whole grub screw system. This way there's no way the barrel can twist. Worth considering at some point. :)

I didnt go for the GBB hop chamber as I think it was Sniper Mechanic who told me to avoid it

I’m always skeptical when I see the “although everyone is saying this one of the best out there, I had to upgrade it with this part from this supplier who is the best out there”. From what i see you had a lemon. Everyone i know who got one of these myself included have never had an issue out of the box.

When I had a Tac 41, I also had machining issues with the hop unit ..twice...I ended up getting fed up and selling it
Also the large mags wouldn't feed well...and would eject bbs if a strong wind blew

I made my hop unit work well by polishing the inner coating off it where the bucking touches this allow the bucking to be removed with out it tearing in at all. I then also got rid of the hop wheel and designed n 3d printed my own tdc which pushes down straight not a wheel with a angel on it. I machined a sear catch to fit a old wasp srs piston way before dan made any tac pistons for it as they are the same piston with only a different sear catch at the back then machined a few airbreaks, I swopped out the og hop unit for the sb gbb unit which is way better, then in the end i popped in a stalker gbb hop unit, mine is now running a mancraft kit hpa and hum personaly i wouldnt recommend doing it the stalker hop unit will not work with the mancraft only with the og sb n sb gbb unit does the mancraft work with.. i again had to machine a part that allowed me to use the stalker nozzle with the mancraft kit. All in all this pew is a mess it should of had the gbb hop unit from the start not as a after market buy, personaly my vsr spring build is better and my srs mancraft is also better. Im now retesting it again to see if i can get it better with the mancraft but if it dont play ball its going back as a springer again.

Are your safety controls on the left and right side loose? On mine it’s not loose enough to switch modes without intent but it seems excessively loose to the touch.

I serviced my tac41 the other day, stripped the barrel apart completely and cleaned/relubed with new o rings. I ran into a problem when installing the hop up unit onto the inner barrel, as I the teflon tape which I installed onto the rubber just bunched up every time I pushed the hop up on, which prevented me from being able to see the witness marks for lining up the retaining screws with the flat faces. After sacrificing not one but TWO rubbers and setting myself back £15 I ordered two more and this time I just tried to line up the orientation and pushed the hop up on till it no longer shifted, then I just installed the retaining screws without ever knowing whether I am lined up on the flat faces or not. I have shot it since and it just doesn't seem right, the bb veers off to the right and I don't think this is because of wind conditions as I tested it over 3 days. I have one more bucking left, should I just sacrifice the teflon mod so that I am able to correctly line up the barrel?

    • @Jaeger-Precision

When i got my Tac41 a swapped to the SRS AEG 70° bucking and to the 90nm spring (m140) and the performance improvment were how to say it, not noticable to me. Couldn´t even overhop 0.45g, grouping at 50-60m was Body wide, my AK´s perform better.
I went with the Kraken HU and the Stalker 70° bucking, Davinchi Akashi 70 6.03mm innerbarrel and the Scorpion Piston, now i´m testing different setups.
Right now i´m running a m160, shortstroke piston and with the airbreak i get at 2,45j with 0.43g my field limit is 2.8j with playing weight.
It performs well but it needs some further fine tunning. In the end, the GBB HU or the Kraken are a must go, as i destroyed two srs buckings and that is not accaptable.

Hey man, love the video. Currently as a lefty debating if I should get the Tac 41A (prefer the A, as I really love the look and the fact that it is foldable). OOTB performance isn't really something I can truely believe in airsoft, with some exceptions ofcourse (looking at you DE M90X series). With Brainexploder actually stating a good OOTB performance... it makes me curious!
Currently looking at the Tac 41A, I have a Silverback MK23 suppressor laying around but haven't bought the rifle (yet).
An question, did you need an adapter to fit it? The site states a M24x1 thread but the MK23 has 16mm CW thread right?
