Explanations
Cabin crew: The cabin crew on this flight were generally very friendly. They greeted us nicely upon entering the aircraft and were nice enough to show us where our seat is. However, there were many upset looking faces. Some of them didn’t give a smile or anything. It’s like they hated to be there.
Cabin: The cabin was beautiful. I liked the choice of colours for their seats and the cabin generally smelled pretty nice. This was a 10/10. Nothing wrong with it.
Seat: The seat was nice and comfortable, the head rest worked perfectly in supporting my head and the recline was pretty generous. The seat also aligned with the window perfectly, making looking out very easy. However, what I always find annoying about window seats is how you can never put up the arm rest right next to the wall of the aircraft. When trying to rest your head on the wall, you get stabbed by an armrest.
Legroom: Legroom was super generous. Very spacious. 10/10.
IFE: Now, as you all saw in the video, the IFE malfunctioned. That shouldn’t happen on any flight at all. But at least it was fixed, thank god. The other downside of the IFE in Malaysia Airlines is how limited the movies are. There weren’t many choices to choose from and I only ended up watching 2 on a 12hr flight because none of the others interested me. Another weird thing are the series. Most of them started from a random season so you couldn’t follow the story line whatsoever. What’s the point? Anyway, Malaysia Airlines need to add way more options. I believe Emirates have over 2,000 movies to choose from. Here you have Malaysia Airlines with 80…not impressive.
Service: One thing I’ve noticed on my flight with Malaysia Airlines, was how inattentive the cabin crew were. Throughout the flight, I only occasionally saw 1 or 2 in our section. Most times they had disappeared somewhere. No idea where they all were. I had called one of them for a pair of headphones as I didn’t receive one upon arrival to my seat. I’m not even kidding when I say this. It took them at least 10 minutes to finally come to my aid. Where on Earth were they all?
Meal: The meal was alright. It wasn’t totally impressive. My main problem was how bad it tasted. The chicken, potato and vegetables didn’t taste amazing especially the vegetables. They were incredibly soggy and chewy. The wrap was also ok. I was hungry so it didn’t really bother me. But again, not that good tasting. The 4/10 definitely comes from the Nasi Lemak. WOW, that was good. The chicken was tender, the sauce was hot and spicy, and the coconut rice was delicious. Definitely recommend it!
Cleanliness: The aircraft was generally kept pretty clean. I noticed some dirt and dust down the side of my seat as well as a plaster mark on my tray table. You would never see this on the likes of Singapore Airlines. The toilets were often cleaned and sprayed which is great! But they can definitely do better.
Website: The website was pretty stressful to navigate through. It kept failing and was really weirdly slow. Other websites we had no problem. Hope this gets changed soon.
Value for money: During our booking, Malaysia Airlines were holding a Mata Fair event. We manage to get a discount. The total cost of our flight was £1,915 for 2 people. £957 per person. I flew Etihad last year by myself and it ended up costing only £650. For an airline like Etihad, that deal was awesome. Without this discount, the flight would’ve been £2200. That’s pretty expensive for what we got.

I beg to differ. It was the worst I've ever had, from BKK to KUL. AirAsia's catering, in general, are far superior to MAS.

Yeah, it’s a shame. It seems the food is only good when it’s catered out of Singapore. You can check out my Singapore Airlines review from London to Singapore on my channel to see what I was served…wasn’t great.

I’m a pilot who regularly fly from London-Kuala Lumpur to and fro, I can say that the food catering in London is more disappointing as compared to the one in Kuala Lumpur. I do apologise if the meal you had from London to Kuala Lumpur wasn’t up to your expectations. Will feedback to the catering team in London. Hope you fly with us more soon

lol at the IFE not working. The same happened to me on MH when I last flew with them in 2018 on the same route for the entire duration (just mine) Thankfully it was a night flight so I didn’t mind too much.

I have used the MAS airline before but not to uk but to other malaysian states. Overall when i ride it i find nothing wrong with it but for me is annoying when the plane always gave me peanuts and orange juice. I don't really like eating peanut honestly but atleast orang juice counts because i love orange juice.
Isn't it a customary thing on mas for them to serve their salted peanuts since its on of the thing ppl choose mas

Do you get a menu for your meals or did they plant it on your tray without saying what it was.
No you don’t get a menu. Cabin crew come around telling you what the 2 options are. In this instants, it was beef or chicken. But that’s about it. They don’t tell you what comes with the beef or chicken. I expected rice, but I got potatoes.
Wifi is now free for everyone on Malaysian airlines as of last week I think

we flow with them once they were late taking off so we missed our connection flight we spent 12 hours of hell at their airport sending us from one counter to another. in our return we found out at the airport our flights were cancelled all together after 16 hours they gave us flights they refused us meals or hotel worse airline ever
