Absolutely. I agree wholeheartedly. As a matter of fact even Swami Vivekananda faced incredible hardships when he visited America including several attempts on his life and attacks on his personal reputation. But I’m so glad the Hindus are rising to support Rajiv ji (more needs to be done) and seeing through this deep rooted conspiracy to undermine Hinduism by turning our Dalit brothers and sisters against our Brahmin brothers and sisters.

The Vice Chancellor of my University was a Mr. Barber. To the best of my knowledge, he never gave a haircut to anybody. I know a Mr.Cook, who didn't cook, but sold Traveler's Cheques , a Mr. Baker, who was not a baker, but was a politician. Yet when it came to the Indians, the British insisted that if you have Barber as your name, you have to choose the profession of a barber ( "because you are a Barbarian, culturally inferior to us"). Thus was born the Caste Category.

Ambedkar was born Dalit, untouchable, with name like Yengde. A Brahmin teacher gave him the his last name Ambedkar, helped him with his studies, and arranged funds to go abroad, USA and UK. This is story of Risi Gautam. Gautam muni, in ancient Mithila, Bihar, India, interviewed a young boy to stay in his ashram, and study. Gautam asked him, who his father was. The boy said he does not have father, but only mother. Gautam asked for the mother to come and explain the heritage of the buy, so Gautam can decide on accepting the boy. The mother said, I never married, stayed working for many men, slept with many of them, but can not say which man is his father. Gautam replied, I admire your truth telling, hence I will accept your son as my disciple. Your name is Jabala ,
So I will call your son, Satyakam Jabal, who later became a famous Risi in his own right. Satyakam came from Satya, the truth, truth telling mother and son, Jabal, so his heredity was decided by his mother’s name. This is how caste, jati, Varna worked in India.

Rajiv ji thanks for exposing this much needed historical information about the colonizers. Seems like the colonizers had a "use and throw" policy pertaining to brahmins. They also used Varna /Jathi principles to their own advantage without admitting. The Hindus as a whole cannot remain oblivious to this past history forced on the entire population of India. Do not let opportunists in India and outside of India attack Hindus just to suppress them all over again.

There are "backward" communities in Bharat which threaten to finish Brahmins!
Now these communities are creating adverse situation for Brahmins in all other countries also!
All are hell bent upon creating a new in-eqality in the name of eqality!
I appeal the Brahmin community in Bharat and all over the world to stay sollidly united and fight back for their dignity.

The concept of Caste division itself is not Indian, it's a superimposition of the Spanish/Portuguese caste system and the English Class system in India, intending to divide the natives and use them against each other while the English hold power and work as a mediator.
Caste was a pyramid scheme that Europeans sold to Indians via their English imposition in Indian society to divide Indians into groups/ghettos and make them fight with each other.
So don’t mix up Varna with Gotram, Varna is Profession, and Gotram is Lineage.
Hindus are free to marry in different Varnas, only avoid marrying in the same Gotram because it is considered the same bloodline, hence we don’t marry between brothers and sisters.

Not politically correct, but the 4 festivals of Hindus are related to Varnashram dharma. Saraswati puja for Brahmins, Durga puja for kshatriyas, Diwali for vaishyas, and holi for shudras. Book has probably missed these 2 points.
    1. From an economic perspective, Caste system or Caste/Occupational guilds were an Indian version of Anarcho-syndicalism where workers owned the means of production and were not merely wage workers. Livelihood with ownership of means of production was a birthright and every caste controlled different sectors of economy. people not only had a job but they owned their jobs. This is possibly the closest humans have come where economic exploitation by means of appropriation of surplus is totally absent.
    2. For argument sake, if one accepts that caste system was evil, we cannot have an extremely skewed distribution of guilt making Brahmin the exploiter and everyone else the exploited. Every caste has participated almost equally in that social system. Even different subgroups among Dalits have hierarchies and are vicious about it. Same goes with OBCs. that being the case, why do we have a sinister campaign where one small insignificant group is scapegoated.

Doctors do not experience discrimination Based on this hygiene basis of the caste system. Doctors who are of high esteem in Indian contemporary culture, logically should be untouchables because they come in contact with all kinds of dirtiness and sick people. This makes no sense because if you have soap, water and disinfectant you can clean up and go on with your life. Who were the healers back in those days of the strict caste system?. If the Sudras did not clean up after doing their so called dirty jobs, why was it not explained to them the value of cleaning up? These classifications/restrictions were definitive, discriminatory, and racist. That system was/is an excuse to abuse people of darker skin color. You can blame the British and say they perfected and maintained the caste system, but they did not initiate it.

We must fix mathura and vrindawan, asap, and work on restoring the thousands of temples destroyed by British and Muslims. We should have Hindu temples on every block, in India like the churches in USA. If Muslims were so bright, why they do not have Tajmahals in other 56 Islamic countries. Why do spiritual gurus only come from India to the west. Why not a European or American or an Arab goes to India as gurus and teach spirituality to Hindus.

Caste has no purpose in a non feudal society. Its purpose only exists in a feudal society. Caste was useful for European society for 1200 years.
Jati and Varna is not caste.
Jatis were a form of decentralized self-governance and self-support system wherein each member of the society adhered to the norms of the society and provided for the security and wellbeing of its members it was a kind of self help self insurance mechanism for its members.
The word “caste” has its origins in Latin (castus), which means chaste or pure. Caste made its way into the Indian lexicon with the arrival of the Portuguese in the 1700s. Due to low productivity and short growing period Europe relied heavily on slaves and bonded labor. Slaves were brought into Europe from different parts of the worlds mostly from Africa and Asia but the Church made it sure to keep the Christian lands and Christian bloods pure. This was done by castrating male slaves so that they could not reproduce and by killing or castration of mixed race off-springs of female slaves.
Destruction of Indic Self Governance and self support system was done through the Mapping of European feudal and caste system on Indian social order. During this colonial era, a cash crop economy was introduced in Africa and India, and this was administered through harsh methods that alienated the King and his chiefs from the rest of the population. Fuedal system exercised strict control over the land through the exploitation of labor or tenants of the land. It introduced debt bondage and indentured servitude with similarities to and differences from slavery. European social hierarchy or caste system was established serving the purpose of British into Indian legal and administration system. Until Mughal Era the zamindars were not proprietors resulting in less productivity and revenue collections. The East India Company under Lord Cornwallis, realising this, made Permanent Settlement in 1793 with the zamindars and made them proprietors of their land in return for a fixed annual rent and left them independent for the internal affairs of their estates. Church through its policy of terra nullius uprooted natives of forest land and destroyed their culture and civilization in order to exploit their resources.
Varna system was the theoretical basis and model for social and professional order conceived for the smooth functioning of the Society and its governance. However in reality Jatis determined the true social order it had its own system of ruling it formed the most abundant, customary and practical form of social order on ground. Jatis framed their own rules and regulations for managing the conduct of its members and establishing relationship with other Jatis as well as the sovereign ruler. Jatis were further subdivided into SUBJATIS on the basis of economic, social criterion.

No Buddha himself accepted hierarchy, he wrote why he needed to be born to a specific family from a specific higher community. Also, his death ritual was according to his community.
Many Western scholars are spiritual digesters. Eats what's suitable for them and throws the rest of it like a waste.
West is a waste 😂, I am just joking, I love West, east, north, and South.

Making a plausible argument to best sell his book.
He down plays the lacunae prevailing in caste system and makes a stupid argument about meritocracy as if quota candidates don't have merit...
However, he never realises that given the facilities and the background to get such rank is also merit...
