    I have seen only a few people on TH-cam who know the things you are demonstrating, but one thing that I don't agree on is on the fact that we need to look after the battery and learn ways on how to extend its life. I believe that it should be Samsung responsibility to do that being a big tablet they should put a battery that can handle the load. Good video, I like the tips and tricks.

      I've been really happy with the battery life on the Ultra, it's actually exceeded my expectations. I'm always at 120hz and keep the brightness fairly high, and it lasts multiple days with moderate use. I'm not on it all of the time because I have so many things to test and use for videos and whatnot, but I'm on it quite a bit. Are you getting pretty bad battery life?

    I find this video very helpful. I'm here for the camera notch as it bothers me quite a lot and because of it I am considering the Plus version. It's a struggle to decide, I admit. This video might be the answer for me.
    Another thing that I think about is how it would look like in portrait mode while reading in full screen a website that is with a white background. Would the notch be hidden then? And what about the other side of the screen opposite to the camera? Can you also make it as thick as the bezel where the camera is so it is symmetrical?

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for the slow response. Being completely honest here, I wouldn't even worry about the camera notch at all. It appears to stand out a lot in youtube videos, but once you have it in person, you'll quickly forgot about it and realize it's a non-issue. There's plenty of options for hiding it, moving the content over so it doesn't intrude, and you can have a black bar run along the area to completely hide. There's a ton of options if you don't like the way it looks on screen.

    From my opinion you just lost more screen like this by taking out the camera cutout. Lets just remembered when we had no 14,6 inch table. No people are complaining about a 1 or 2 mm bit of screen lose. Lets go to the early version of the Samsung tabs 10 years ago. People didn't had any option to fill or take out any camera cutouts. Mad respect for the video.

      I'm totally with you, it's an option I'd ever enable. But there sure seems to be a lot of people upset with the notch, though I doubt it would bother them one bit once they held it in person. I honestly don't even notice it... I think that's why I forgot to even mention the notch in my unboxing video, ha ha. This new Ultra is such a dope tablet, I'm loving it. What other apps would you recommend to set up 60 hz?

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Any apps that you don't scroll around much in or do fast movements. As an example, I set Canva (thumbnail tool) to 60hz because I'm basically staring at a non-moving screen while working the thumbnails. Any email client would be a good candidate as well as MS Office products unless you do a lot of fast movements. Some apps are already set to 60hz, so it's best to check on them using that little Developer Option->Show refresh rate option I mentioned. To be honest, I haven't bothered doing this much myself because I'm pretty happy with battery life overall. I think it's really good considering the screen size. Thank you so much for watching.

    • @RADERTECH

      Great question. Since my usage of it has been all over the place, it's really tough to concretely say. In looking over my past 7 days in Battery and Device Care, it looks like I'm averaging about 8.5 to 9 hours of SOT, with 2 of the days being above 10. Seems about the same as the S7+ I was using prior, of which is a good thing. I have yet to ever put it back on the charger 2x during the same day, it's been an all-day device so far. I'm typically at about 60% brightness, with some light gaming and doing a lot install/uninstall's of apps, as I'm checking out a lot them for folks. It's been pretty good, I think most people will be pretty happy with the battery life. Thank you so much for watching and for the great question.

    The refresh rate automatically changes without routines anyway. Show refresh rate, go to youtube, play a video it drops to 60 on its own. No routine 🤷‍♂️

      Ha ha ha, good point about TH-cam. That wasn't the best example to use. But for other apps it can help out. Thanks for watching and making me laugh, I darn near spewed coffee everywhere!!!

      Yeah, it's hard to forget. I'm still shocked we got a notch from Samsung, but I'm finding with the screen being so big I often forget about it. I like what it brings in the form of the front cameras being better and smaller bezels help keep the size down... But dang that notch, lol. Thanks for watching👍

      It doesn't look bad on the tab s8 Ultra, the huge screen size helps hide it away. I typically forget about it. Thanks for stopping by, appreciate you!

    Now they copy even the shitty Apples Notch, unbelievable disgrace. Samsung is falling down.

      The notch has certainly upset a lot of folks, for sure. I don't know about falling down though - the Ultra is basically sold out everywhere still, there's still pre-orders going out. But yeah, I can't argue with you, I'd prefer the notch to not be there as well.

    I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn! My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.
