- Railay Thailand is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We explored the Railay viewpoint and the Railay lagoon. And to finish off the day, we watched the most incredible sunset/thundershower. This was a good day.

If you are taking suggestions I wholeheartedly suggest going to Koh Lanta over Phi Phi. It's a great place to relax on the beach but if you rent mopeds there is plenty to explore. It is possible to drive around the whole island and there is lots to find. The National Park at the southern tip of Koh Lanta is definitely worth checking out. Also, if you want one of the most chilled out places I've found in Thailand there is another island called Koh Jum between Krabi and Lanta. You have to take a long tail from the ferry to the island and the last time I was there they still only had electricity in the evening at certain places. Not sure you would want to disconnect for long but the option is there. Anyway, I'm enjoying the vlogs and all the memories they are bringing back. Thanks for sharing.

So much fun watching these videos although I don't think I saw this one before. I'm going through your earlier videos, preparing for our trip in a few weeks. We're starting in Bangkok, then going to Phuket, Ao Nang, Railay and Chiang Mai. Then my daughter heads home and I'm going to a few other places for a few weeks, including Koh Samui for some monsoon action and Pattaya. In all my research, I somehow missed that November is the worst month to visit Koh Samui although I do want to spend a few days there. I'm also following along with your current Bangkok adventure and will be watching for some recommendations. Take care.
I vote for Koh Lanta next, such a nice island! the day trips to phi phi from there are a short boat ride as well. keep up the great vids, fun to watch but make me want to head back even sooner

i love krabi, it was part of the inspiration for james camerons avatar and when you are there you really see why that is, its amazing. also dont forget the cave beach just few mins walking from railey, its been voted few times nr1 in the world and with a reason. enjoy!
Yay...can't wait to watch the video! Each video makes me more and more happy to visit Chiang Mai this summer! I'm volunteering at an elephant sanctuary that rescues elephants from sad living conditions. I will spend part of my time caring for them by feeding,bathing them, etc. Thank you so much for bringing awareness towards the elephants that are treated poorly! Keep up the amazing vlogs! Btw.. I spent two nights on Railay beach two weeks ago and only stayed by the beach and had no idea that there was a lagoon like that there!! Another excuse to go back I guess! Great video

Tonsai beach next door is a cheaper alternative to Railay and there’s a jungle path connecting the two beaches. Rooms available on Tonsai for 200baht per night shared dorms in a jungle hut bungalow.
My boyfriend and I land in Phuket next Friday morning (first SE Asia trip!) and we've been watching your videos to prep and fig out what we wanna do! Will you still be in Thailand 4/15-4/25?

christian don't forget to visit Boracay when you go back to the Philippines... you'll love that beach too. It was also voted the Best Beach before in the world by BMW magazine. The sand is unique because it doesn't heat up even on a very hot noon day (warm maybe). according to the survey I read before, there are only 3 beaches around the world with that type of sand but I forgot what the others were. The Boracay sand is soft and crystal clear too... and the resort has a lot of things going on day and night....

That lagoon looked pretty epic love it when they echo like that ..the sinking mud though woh haha! I used to work at a hotel here and the monkeys would always come down from the upper rock into the rooms and steal stuff from the mini bars the cheeky things...the guests thought we were joking at first haha! But They soon saw for themselves..XD

if you're going to the Philippines you should go to Calaguas :)
That mud area where there are agukoys or small crabs there should be mangroves in there. I wonder why is it bare, sometimes those crabs are part of the monkeys diet. But if there are no mangrove trees for them to use as bridge to avoid getting wet.
