This guys are playing the "Football Manager" dream in real life. From the lowest league to the top. I hope they get far. It will be a great story that will inspire many small town clubs across the globe.

@@martynshaw972 True, Luton did a wonderful job and it's another inspiring example, but it's not exactly the same. Luton had a severe bad strike, but it was already a premier league/championship club. Wrexham played in the championship ONCE in the 70s. When Lutton was playing the championship in 2007, Wrexham was already in the National league. They never got out of that league until the change.
Luton did it on a shoe string budget compared to bandwagon Hollywood fc
@@LordSesshaku I think that's what people miss is that Wrexham was mired in National League 15 years straight and almost fell down to North a few years ago. From having an owner trying to piecemeal sell club assets to line his own pocket to the fans saving the team with bake sales and such. It's a huge deal for a couple actors (one Canadian and one American) coming in and buying the team for a few million. This when just months before the talk was "how much longer will the team survive?"

The difference here is Jeff Stelling isn't some idiot who ran crystal palace into the ground turned commentator and just fellates off idiot owners in the prem for their bad decisions. Jeff Stelling respects the lower leagues, he had actually wished Ryan and Rob bought Hartlepool as they were one of the finalists when they were trying to see which club to buy 3 years back. Imagine if that would've happened, they would've had a built in cheerleader with Jeff but it could've been a way different story.

Once Wrexham won and MK Dons and Barrow didn't win last Saturday, Wrexham was assured of finishing higher than both of them in the standings, and assured at least 3rd place

Wrexham AFC is the 3rd oldest football club in the world and has the oldest international football stadium in the world. We’ve been here longer than most.
