Seasick Steve is the REAL DEAL. This is the best music I have heard in a very long time, exactly what the music world needs to get things back on track
I get chills watching this man perform. Un freaking believable - his history, his inventiveness, his talent, and the way he works with his audience. Good for him. Good for us listeners. Good for music in general. Look at all those smiles in the audience. Love it. Gotta gotta gotta see him live someday soon.
uhm ok but the 1910-1919 martin isnt no 2.37 ,, and that fender bassman is worth about 6000.00 , ,, and his national dobro is about another 5000 .00 what most of you folks dont know is steve here has done alot of producing and work in the music field ,, you may think hes a hobo but theres more to the picture than meets the eye [ steve wold ] and i count over 30 different bands hes either produced or engineered ,,i was a big engineer in the grunge days , in the Seattle area , hes no slouch, but more important he knows tone , and a man like that can make a tin can sound good ,, money or not
***** Cool details! Believe me, I meant no disrespect. I think he's terrific, as a musician, but also as a performer, and most importantly, as a person.
***** All he meant was that seasick made great music even with less of a cost. But somehow theres always a someone that has to .. erm.. yeah but that cost that.. and that is worth that... My bassman I bought for 2375 not any 6000. Im assuming your a read the price not a seller buyer. Anyone that sells and buys for a living knows theres no fixed prices of an instrument or anything else. Being cheap dont mean less quality, it dont mean slouch and no offense but saying I was a big engineer, you migh been a poplular choice but you were not a big boy. Big boys dont mention their status. And the only claypool I ever heard of is les and if thats you well then I guess I will see you in oakland 31st.
well firts let me correct you read my name Lester Claypool ,, not Leslie Claypool ! and yes i know the worth a good instruments because that is my trade ,,, and if you dont think a Stradivarius is worth what the price tag says that you are sadly mistaken i sugest you go to Gruhn guitars or tom wheeler , im sure Steve could play any guitar and sound like himself thats not my worry i enjoy him very much and i appreciate him using guitars from an era gone by, but make no mistake these guitars where chosen for a reason , and im sure you can hear it
***** Well I sure didn't mean to start all this commotion. Now that Steve has some legal tender I suppose he's investing some of it toward his tone....beyond his Mississippi drum machine and his Sherm-ocaster. Bet he uses more expensive string for his guitar straps, too!

I just met seasick in Cambridge,UK. Talked for about 15 minutes about various things but brought up this concert. He loved playing pinkpop. Definitely one of his best shows on TH-cam.
This guy is too good and authentic for his own countrymen in America to appreciate him Yet again, it takes Europe and Holland here to appreciate that, like always
Seasick Steve é o cara! Excelente! Faz a gente voltar no tempo e reaprender a gostar de musica! 75 anos e está aí dando um show! Longa vida a esse Sir! God bless you!
Ive heard him sayin that he doesnt concider himself a blues musician. He said he thinks about his music like a mix of blues, country, folk and hillbilly or something XD he is totally all over genres... love that man!
Yeah these guys are a match made in heaven. I love and respect them equally, but thought that Dan Magnusson do deserve a lot of credit. His "wildness" and "swing"puts him right there up with Ginger Baker and Keith Moon in my book. Seasick Steve is a born natural that gives you that warm feeling that only a very few people can accomplish.
In my young years I went to so many festivals and so on, so many nice memories, sad I did miss that one :( now old and in wheelchair ..... but embrace memories and see video's like this one !!!!!
A man who used to have nothing, had to sleep under bridges and suddenly was offered a job by some man from the music business.. Is what i've heard about him... Those are the best.

Good God. I saw this on related videos for Mumfords Pinkpop performance. Steve was like Vibing to Mumford by the crowd haha. This guys a badass. So is the drummer.
A colleague of mine showed me a video of steve playing on a 3 string guitar, it was very impressive, he made tunes with it as if it was not even missing them strings. Glad to see he gets around and even bothers to come to my country too ♥
I love you!!! From Quebec Canada! I love what you are doing!! Omg! The second song is absolute bliss!! Heaven on hearth!! I love your show!!! The third one is better also! I love what you are doing!

The man from people, artist simples with one big talento. Muito feeling, energy, soul, espiritual, e more your drummer is wild on drums. Valeu peace and love music e chopper bike. The world agradece.
It makes me feel good that so many young people appreciate great music.

NOTHING DIFFERENT in 2022: It's simple, straight, real - AMAZING!
Even though his entire collection of touring instruments is worth a total of $2.37, he makes incredible tones and music.

This is what real music sounds like, no autotuners, no lip synching, no drum machines, no dancers,, just serious ability. Good on ya Steve.
"It dont sound good either." Steve, it sounds better than anything I've heard on the radio in the past 10 years!
Thanks for the guffaw, pal!
Amen to that
Congratulations any performance no fluff just good music and a magical pinkpop
The World needs more of this!! looking forward to many more albums from Steve :)

this is so full of energy! Sesick is one of my favorites! He is so unique and inventive!
Fantastic! Just fantastic and what a drummer!
Can't get enough of listening to his music.
It was even better he was sitting on the front stage when Mumford and Sons were performing.
I just met seasick in Cambridge,UK. Talked for about 15 minutes about various things but brought up this concert. He loved playing pinkpop. Definitely one of his best shows on TH-cam.
like everyone says, Seasick Steve is the bomb, but the drummer rocks like nuthin' else!

Can't go wrong when Saruman the White plays the drums for you 😎
yeeaahh he is like a drummer in "the muppet show"
This guy is too good and authentic for his own countrymen in America to appreciate him
Yet again, it takes Europe and Holland here to appreciate that, like always
This is amazing.. I never knew about sea stick .. happened to see them on Top-Gear episode.. grt music.
I finally found the problem with my guitar technique: too many strings!

Я просто в восторге!
Drummer 🥁 ...👍👍
For y'all fingerpickers out there, word of wisdom: the best way to hit only the right strings is to remove the others from the guitar to begin with!
Saw them last summer, the drummer is a beast!
Looks like Christ and God himself playing in a rock band.
Sounds like 'em, too!

I swear that man could make good music with a broom stick and bailing wire.
