The bird is not hitting the windows with its beak, as I first presumed. It's hitting the windows with its feet. I DID put shiny, anti-bird tape on each window. Doesn't faze the bird.
Putting stickers on your Windows helps deter this behaviour, paint or markers work as well, so long as the bird has frame of reference for where the "invisible wall" is.
