I absolutely love my Clover amour hooks. I recently stumbled across those Hamanaka hooks and was curious whether their quality is the same as Clover amour hooks, although you didn't specify that this review was still helpful :) thank you
I ordered two of the Hamanaka hooks to try out , I also think that kit could be great kit for travelling as it is small and light and comes with it's plastic box, it could be very handy to take with us while travelling :)

Thank you very much for your comment!!
As you say, this small set packed in a plastic case is very handy and useful when traveling.
The hook tip is slightly different, because the shape of the tips are similar to the Tulip ones, but these are not slippery like Tulip, and Clover ones are smoother than Hamanaka ones.
If you need something more accurate to crochet stitches, these are a good choice to have in your collection.
Also, I recommend this video to understand more about hooks, and I still continue to gather more hooks, so I need to make updated ones someday…

thank you for the review! i was eyeing the set for quite sometimes now and pretty curious on how it compare to tulip one, didn't realize the grip is more suitable for pencil gripper compare to knife gripper, but ngl the whole set is such great deal with much affordable price, again thank you for sharing with us! ❤❤

I'm very happy you were interested in this video. The final impressions are different each of us, but I think there are things you can imagine based on the appearance, and above all, I think it can be very helpful for people who don't have the product to hear detailed reviews from people who own it.
Whether the hook will slip or not is very important, and I choose hooks that match the yarn. When it comes to non-slip threads, I like the slippery nature of Tulip, and when it comes to slippery threads, I dislike the slippery nature of Tulip.
And while I like the shape of the tip of the Tulip, I don't like the fact that the shaft gets thicker and thicker because the gauge is inconsistent.
If you want to use a hook with the shape of a Tulip tip that won't slip, this Hamanaka is suitable. In fact, since the shaft is very short, the gauge will be very stable if it is about SC, HDC, or DC.
However, it is not suitable for knife grippers, and it is not suitable for some stitches.
Also, I don't know about the price difference. Why is the price so low?

@@SusannasHobbies thanks for the reply 🥰, i also hv the love-hate relationship with the tulip's hook texture (i use the double sided + full metal body one which is lot more affordable compare to the one sided + grip one), and like you said, the slippery can be advantage but also disadvantage depends on the project, hence why im curious abt hamanaka since i came across the product online recently, it is a really interesting product overall
for the price point im not sure why such difference, i only see it in my local knit/crochet store, and in comparison with tulip etimo, hamanaka price is on the affordable side esp you got 2 size for one price (like 1 size hamanaka is only 2/3 the price of one size tulip etimo)
but then again, it depends on personal preference tho, i think it could be great beginner set overall

Susanna thank you for sharing this. I’ve been eyeing this hook but good thing you brought up the type of hold. Im more of knife holder now due to projects i make. Plus the damaged in my wrist limits my movement so knife has less movement for me compared if I hold it in pen style. I might try one just very curious hehehe its looks yummy gell type grip
    Thank you and stay safe

Hi Rin, oh thank you for watching this video and your interest.
      Please enjoy your experiment 🤗
I also have difficulty with my wrist movements after car crash, so I understand why you need the good tools to enjoy crocheting.
I’m happy you enjoyed this video and happy crochet life 💐💐💐
