- Martin continue to explore their lineage with a variety of new offerings, including the budget-friendly StreetLegend series, which uses an innovative screen printing process to create relic’d looks from Martin’s vault on popular models, as well as the Authentic D-28 1937 Aged, which uses modern exotic woods, vintage specs and meticulous aging process to recreate a pre-war Martin.

These sound amazing 👏
Luv the Martins
Just picked one up and loving it. Actually traded a D-16 RGT in on it that just felt too new and sterile. The look of vintage, sound of a D-18 without the warped neck worn frets & ridiculous price ☝🏻😉
The relicing isn’t for me but the new tech is pretty cool
Nice people:)😊
Reminds me of those jeans at Nordstrom or jc penny that came “pre dirty” 😂😂😂
Played on the D28 1937 aged guitar at the NAMM, what a fantastic sounding guitar. Best brand new guitar I've heard so far! I think it looks and feels awesome. Nice upgrade for my D28 Reimagined :).
I imagine that D18 didn't look like someone dragged gardening tools across the top until Cobain got a hold of it.
So they’re all going to look the same, and they’re not even relics. It’s not worn at all. It’s like printing an image of a relic guitar on top of a new finish.
@@JacowateHamaeran No , it’s like buying a new pair of jeans with an image of torn jeans printed on it.
Look at these fuckin haters lol
@@sonicd57 Even worse lol
Luv my D18
"Chip, in the 21st century reality will be indistinguishable from comedy".
Now, offer a distressed Willie’s Martin N-20 “Trigger.”
The fact that it’s smoothe tho is probably so strange.
The d-28 SL or regulqr d28? I love the SL satin colorX but will the regular d28 also get that in time?
They are printing the tops. crazy.
Yeah, I’ll put my own wear thankyou
How is the d19 18 street legend version of grandpa 400 dollars cheaper than a regular d18?
It’s cheaper because it has a satin finish.
Gloss finishes that are not thick take a lot of work.
So if you buy this guitar as your main, it’s going to have fake wear that will then acquire natural wear as you play it. I can’t imagine that’s going to look very good.
I'd just rather buy a 69 d28
It’s just gonna keep looking better.
@@powbobs I don’t think so

It doesn’t matter what you think.
Pass on a reliced acoustic guitar.
I love mine.
This makes me incredibly sad
But it makes tons of us really happy.
Wear patterns…NOOOOOOOOO. Ugly
Also, a guitar earns it’s wear and develops it’s sonic character by living a real life and having been played. There are stories that go along with aging naturally. Please don’t fake it.
so if you have 20 guitar players in a jam with the same guitar the same wear? now thats wierd
They will wear differently for each person.
Hmmm...I'll take a Collins
Collings
We’re hard to come by
So I bellied up to the bar....
And ordered a Tom Collings...
Assumedly...the bartender corrected me...ill drink to that...
Buy a New one and play the crap out of it ..Then it’s your wear ,not someone else’s idea of what it should be
This is just sad. Please stop, Martin. You make fantastic instruments. I have the '37 D-18 authentic from 2022, but I would have never considered purchasing a guitar that was relic'd. You earn that.
You probably shouldn’t buy one then, but plenty of people will.
Super weird. Pre-War Guitars Co. has been producing beautifully relic'ed and aged Martin repro's for a while now. Martin trying to compete with digitally painted "wear" seems cheap and distasteful of the Martin name. If you're gonna do it, do it right.
They do it right, but it costs $9000.
These don’t cost 1/4 of what those do.
Sacrilegious-
That’s horrible!
I love it.
Boooooo
Love Martin’s hate these. Come on Martín you don’t need gimmicks
“So what you’re seeing is real wear.” 🤣 👎👎
oh dear... real ware i think not.
🤢🤢🤢
Oh man I hate this crap 💩 that why I put my 1978 d35 up for sale on reverb . Let me go buy a beat up 1966 mustang instead of restored one
What’s the point of this is to show u hahe been playing the guitar for 300 yrs ?
Bought me a 000-28 brand new and I will like to keep that way
So?
Only you care about your opinion.
What other people like is none of your business.
Paid a small fortune for one of these guitars to only have it break in 3 places a year later.
Sure it did. 😂
