Awesome video as always - this is the content we need more of. It's basically irrelevant that most of my racing quads cost a fair bit more, because the number of shared parts is huge. I've had really good luck with Racerstar35A and RCharlance F4Pro2 stack combinations (with VTX), the ECO Motors are beasts in 2207 1900KV for flexibility, and otherwise wouldn't change a thing about this build - really great stuff. On a budget, hard to argue against the CNHL 6S packs when they're on sale. For battery strap, 250x20mm strap is the answer, with longer bolts for the stack - run them under the ESC. Not ideal otherwise, but that setup will work. The suspense at 25:09 onward was just killing me. Is he going to notice? When will he notice? OMG, Seth, WHYyyyyyyyy?? NOOOOOOO!! Oh, ok. Fixed.
For the TX805, there's two options, FMA Female and RP-SMA FEMALE, which one should i buy? Also for the camera there's an NTSC and PAL option? Thank you

Those 2207 1900 ecos are decent. They have a tiny bit of play in the bearings - but I've gotten over 100 packs into a set flying metal conduit gates. Really bashed on them. Ripped a 6MM arm off - put a new arm on - motor was fine. I've heard bad things about the 2306 variant though.
That is a really nice looking frame you found there. I prefer the 3b hobby 2306 trainer motors. Just because they use curved magnets and 2500kv which give a little more power. But they are more expensive, so the 199 dollar budget might not hold up.
I just bought the MAMBA stack 405 mk2, but I can´t figure out what pad my signal cable from my flysky i6b ( with ppm output) is supposed to be soldered to. Do you have any idea?

Nice&Clean :) Good to see you didn`t notice the connector cap being the wrong way lol, that`s such a typical thing to miss lol xD Btw: Anyone worried about solder splatter, just put something over the board, for instance tape on a piece of paper , or use tape, but if you use tape "de-glue" it a bit, take your lenght of tape and stick it to your shirt or pants and take it off, repeat if necessary. Saved me a bunch of times even though I`ve been soldering for decades :) (I get sloppy some times)
I made a build with this frame for indoor parking race this winter and it has hold very well but the build is tricky as there is really not much room inside. I went for a 4s build with an AIO fc esc racerstar f4s and I had enough room to make it work with a rxsr and a tramp vtx. If you want to make this build in 6s I would go for the diatone mamba and a tbs nano vtx any other vtx would make the build challenging.
@@TheRCAddict they should have put slightly longer standoff. The arms are impressively strong I went full throttle in concrete wall and got nothing else than chip ends and broken motor of course
Im looking to build this but use same components on a marmotte frame and 4s. Would all this components work or I would have to change the motors? I'm looking to build one to use a dji system.
Nice recommendation, definitely considering this build. You mention the cost should run around 160-180; my tally runs at 211; seems like quite a difference. Depending on which parts you choose there is always promotional prices going in and out and once added to the cart some discounts are automatically applied.
I had that type of frame, exactly the F2 Mito, and the carbon was so weak, on a little impact the arms was broken. And also i must say that the Vtx antenna on the top will broke at first impact.

i love your videos but dissing UAVfutures i thought was a bit harsh in my opinion. both use emachine parts and both use some copies. just cannot do a cheap build without a clone of some kind. and if you are trying to get started for first time. cheapest is always a bonus.. to learn what will work for you .

I have 5" 4s setup and its ready for 6s, just need to replace the motors. I just bought Emax LS2207 1900kv last week. Probably it take 2 weeks to arrive in the mailbox. My first 5" 6s setup. In my country, everybody still run 4s. The thing is, there is one shop sell 6s lipo with 1000mah 75c only. So I need to buy it overseas if I need higher capacity and c rating. Really need your opinion about 6s lipo mAh and c rating that I should buy for my setup? Ex: IFlight Full Send 6s 1250mAh 95c (free shipg to my country) *Not a pure racer, but I love racing style quad and race my quad in the field, alone, only the one in the state lol. Just a hobbyist.

That part isn't too bad. Plenty of super helpful videos on TH-cam. I am going to also be making a setup video for this quad showing what all needs to be done to get it in the air.
Hi rc addict. I would recomend for this cheap 6s build a 6s f7 flight controller with a built in 600mw selectable VTX, osd ect for £35.00 from banggood. Then buy separate escs. It is called NTXF7 a unknown brand but really good for what you get. And it is beta flight.
1700kv I have found is the sweet spot for 6s. My whole group have converted to low of 1700kv for a good reason. Also 1700kv on a 6s set up is actually more than 1700kv. It's more like 2400kv

Having to go from 4s to 6s at 37 bucks per battery is a no go for me. I buy stuff that fits the batteries I have already. Gets pricey otherwise. That being said, I do like this build.
@@TheRCAddict Ooops,,, My bad, Didn't proof read my post. LOL But yeah,,, I just invested in about 8 4s batteries at about 24 bucks each. That's almost 200 bucks right there. And you need a good amount of batteries at 3 to 4 minutes a flight. So to build your awesome quad would really cost me closer to 400 smackaroos. Which actually isn't that expensive for such a great setup, but I already have so many 4s quads I just can't justify the money to upgrade when the 4s isn't much different to me. I'm not that great a pilot because I don't get out much. Been learning hang gliding since November and haven't touched my RC stuff since then. LOL

I've had really good luck with Racerstar35A and RCharlance F4Pro2 stack combinations (with VTX), the ECO Motors are beasts in 2207 1900KV for flexibility, and otherwise wouldn't change a thing about this build - really great stuff. I use the 2306 1700kv version. And I have crashed Them a lot!! No problem here with Them. 😎

The mamba was out of stock which is why I chose these parts. Raising the top plate 2mm I was able to fit the VTX805.

I love the TBS VTXs and only use them on my personal builds, but they are too expensive for a budget video like this.

Looking forward to how you setup your quads in betaflight! I usually leave all stock on bf4.0 and use the extra Yaw setting with the CLI commands.
Also spend a tiny bit more on the motors £15.00 and by XING 2207 1700kv and get titanium shafts and a sick motor instead.
That adds 40 USD to the build. The xing are top of the line motors, not budget options.

That antenna will break off real bad on the top

Having to go from 4s to 6s at 37 bucks per battery is a no go for me. I buy stuff that fits the batteries I have already. Gets pricey otherwise. That being said, I do like this build.
The Tattu 1300 6s batteries are $27?
@@TheRCAddict Ooops,,, My bad, Didn't proof read my post. LOL But yeah,,, I just invested in about 8 4s batteries at about 24 bucks each. That's almost 200 bucks right there. And you need a good amount of batteries at 3 to 4 minutes a flight. So to build your awesome quad would really cost me closer to 400 smackaroos. Which actually isn't that expensive for such a great setup, but I already have so many 4s quads I just can't justify the money to upgrade when the 4s isn't much different to me. I'm not that great a pilot because I don't get out much. Been learning hang gliding since November and haven't touched my RC stuff since then. LOL
You can choose the 2400kv motors and then it's 4s quad, nothing else needs to be different.

Probably, but if money is tight you don't need to change what you're using :)
