    Ran it with a 3s to test it, but realized I didn't plug an antenna to the VTX, so I immidiately unplugged it. Mounted the antenna, ran it again, and short... Smoke came out in a burst. Still, connected again with the VTX original antenna, and it is running with lights on, but I suspect it's toast. Any thoughts on this?

    Great video and easy to follow, except when you got to the receiver end of the video, I got confused when you showed/said two different receivers. I just got into this hobby and didn't realize you went with the crossfire nano. I wired my r-xsr like your nano... and after it not working in betaflight and some searches found out that it uses sbus (like you said in your video, I just didn't know the difference) Maybe point to the sbus on the actual stack next time for the noobs like me :) Other than that really helpful video so Thank You!

    • @ViperFPV
      @ViperFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nano receiver I used is for crossfire which is a 900mhz long range link. Frsky is another receiver but on the 2.4ghz band. Which one you use is up to you and your budget. I use crossfire because it does help with penetration with a lot of obstacles. But for a newer pilot frsky is great also. Frsky and crossfire are radio receivers ( controls the aircraft) The video transmitter is what will transmit the video to your goggles which uses the 5.8ghz band

      The QX7 is a favorite and Fatshark goggles either the attitude line or HD line to save some money

    Frame HSKRC VO235 5 inch Frame Good!)) I would replace the engines with EMAX ECO II with the installation of "soft-toch" under them, treat the contact soldering pads with Sealant 704. The receiver, for example, is a full-range Frsky XM ("Long-range" at the initial stage need not). It is easier to "link" them before setting them to Frame. CADDX Turbo EOS2 camera - for example. The VTX power supply must be blown through a separate connector, it allows you to turn OFF the TRANSMITTER during service. I'm waiting for the RPM setup video. Can you customize RPM in the simulator? to compare the quality of CONTROL ??. Thank you very much for the video.))

    • @ViperFPV

      Yeah as long as your esc is rated for 6s and it has a high amp cap.

    be carful with that threadlocker it gets on a standoff bolt and it’s over...i stopped using threadlocker and treat my quad like a old harley and tighten my screws after ever flight....but yes i like this budget build ......good job

    • @Vizr
      @Vizr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what I don't get about the thread locker on quads. I club race motorcycles and we don't use loctite/thread locker on consumable hardware. We do a pre and post check on all hardware when we race. Nice to see another 2 wheel brother that understands this lol

    Definitely feel like a few of those 'pro' changes are actually mandatory changes.
    Racerstar35Anniversary/RCharlanceF4Pro2/RCX NK2306.5 on that frame with an XM+ is going to outperform everything there for less money.

      @@ViperFPV Got to help with a fairly big project where we build a couple dozen quads on that that hardware - statistically significant failure rate. Not that Racerstar stuff is typically much better... but that particular ESC is a good design, and RCX motors are a great value.
      Definitely appreciate you bringing that frame to my attention - I'll probably add a couple to my beater fleet.
