- Patriotic fans sing the National Anthem & watch B2 Stealth Bomber Flyover at Arrowhead Stadium on the Kansas City Chiefs' NFL home opener against the Denver Broncos on September 17, 2015.
What other country would use a flag the size of a football field, sing their national anthem so enthusiastically, and all while bombers were flying overhead?

They fly sorties everyday. A flyover is a sortie but it's a great way to recruit people

At times when the country feels so at adds and so divided like now, shit like this makes me feel that tingly chest feeling which summarizes the American spirit. Stadium flyovers might seem stupid to foreigners but something so simple really embodies the true feeling of being an American, and there is nothing like the feeling of being an American. Don't get me wrong, flyovers are always awesome as hell... but I'd say the true feeling of being American is more something like the Cajun Navy, or the fact that that we'll strike up conversation with anyone and are super friendly. The B2 has never been detected by enemy radar, has never been shot down, and can carry up to 16 nuclear bombs each, they also have the ability to refuel each other's B2s MIDAIR, so they basically can be up in the air indefinitely. Crazy technology right there!

I live about 25 miles from Whiteman AFB where this B-2 came out of...probably a 6 or 7 minute flight for him to get to Arrowhead stadium. They fly over the country club I belong to several times a month at fairly low altitude and they are a beautiful airplane.

I would never understand why in France, with the history of our country, we don't sing our national anthem at the start of the school year each year and at the stadium the fans rarely sing the Marseillaise at each match, they only do it for the national meetings I find it sad in France.

I’m in the Air Force and the ONLY time I’ve ever seen this plane in my life is when they let us do a walk around and talk to the pilots. I’m an aircraft mechanic and even to touch one of those you have to have specialized training and you aren’t allowed to talk about anything you see on it (even tho this thing has been landed at air shows and people can walk up to it)

this is what makes america great. i dont know how they do it, but when they sing 'land of the free' the stealth bomber or whatever aircraft it is always seems to appear bang on que.
its a training exercise for the pilots. the timing of pregame and the anthem is known beforehand. When the anthem begins and how long the rehearsal was. this time point is then relayed to the pilots. they plot a mission and make it happen in real time. simulating hitting a target within 100 yards, in a less than 5 second window of timing.
@jordaneimer2873 it's honestly a genius idea for training and public outreach at the same time. I live in UT and our games here get F35s or F16s out of Hill AFB.

Actually they are based in whiteman AFB, which is about 70mi outside of Kansas city- born and raised in KC saw B2s many time on drives to and from lake of the Ozarks
One of the reason why i love USA so deeply. They have the power and the people support to operate a B2 Bomber only for show and training (what costs 120.000$ per one hour operating) God bless the USA and they famos people! In Germany this is impossible!
