- You can make a virtual pet simulator in Scratch! With this tutorial, you’ll learn how to introduce your pet, animate your pet, feed your pet, and keep track of your pet’s hunger.

Another way to make a hunger meter: Changing the "my variable" name to "Hunger", and clicking the check box next to the hunger reporter block!

This is so fun! It’s got great tools that you can use for other games too, such as an adventure game where you have to find food, or an exploring game where you need to find certain objects to get points. Great tutorial! You talk at the perfect speed and it is very easy to understand you.

@@chipiseth_is_taken dude it's okay to do Scratch even when your mom is looking. Schools let you do it because it's a way to experiment and learn code. I told my mom and everything was fine. I have my own computer though so I don't have to use my school chromebook all the time

2:29 There's another way actually. You don't need to broadcast the food and make the pet glide into it, you can just make the food glide into the pet, like you're giving the pet food.

For people who want to add thirst just make a water sprite and do the same code you did with hunger :)
But make a new variable called thirst and change stuff that says hunger to thirst
