A few things about this build. You basically started recording in the middle of the build, so we missed the cutting, shaping, and sanding. Although that's pretty basic stuff, it's a part of the complete process. Always float test with hooks & split rings hanging on the lure, along with anything else which adds weight, it makes a big difference on small lures. Tension while twisting wires, as you mentioned, is key to getting a nice clean spiral and round eyes. Be careful with lead dust and be sure to wash your hands well, lead is bad for us if ingested or inhaled. Spraying a layer or two of clear paint isn't as durable as a two-part epoxy or UV resin, but it will do for a couple uses. I'm sure your lures probably work, but it is imperative to include a water-base function test to show your audience. We enjoy seeing the results as much as watching the build. All-in-all, a good build. I hope these lures catch some good ones!

I did start in the middle of making these. Like I said in the beginning of the video, I was sick and it was sorta an afterthought to film the process. I will make a video showing the entire process of making one. I didn't have the hooks and split rings till after I was done making the lures. I tried my best to be careful with the lead dust and washed my hands after. You're right about the clearcoat. It definatly isn't as durable as resin or epoxy. If you have any suggestions on what to use, I'd like to hear it. I tested most of my lures out, and they do what I wanted them to do. From now on I'm gonna mostly make lures that sink as I've found they work better. I caught several fish on my lures and they all held up. I'll have a video fishing with them coming out sometime. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Have a great day Mike.

@@TuckerGhezzi I did hear you say you were sick and your voice wasn't quite right, I hope you're feeling much better.
5-minute epoxies do not have enough working time for clear-coating a lure, so I'd steer clear from them. 30-minute epoxies like BSI or Devcon have a medium working time that allows for coating smallish lures. If you have larger lures, multiple lures, or multi-segmented lures, something like TrueCoat is nice because about 20 minutes of working time.
A sinking lure can be used over much more of the fishing season because you can control where in the water column you want to fish. A crank bait can float because the lip takes it down. Wake baits, glidebaits, poppers, WTD, and the like are meant to fish on or near the top. I like making a variety, gives you options for different times of the year, and varying conditions.
      Looking forward to more builds!
