Thanks for using my version of ‘Go The Distance’. It’s genuinely nice to see someone using a track I’ve made for something great - appreciate you linking my video too. Cheers
Hi Gerald, I recently discovered your videos and am quite hooked. I enjoy your chronicles while on my treadmill in a basement avoiding the cold and snow outside in Connecticut. I used to struggle to stay on the "hamster wheel" for 20 minutes, but am now able to easily manage a 10K run while watching your videos. I have to say it helps that I am also a Disney fan, in fact I ran the 2016 (Marathon weekend) half as you did (very humid for that time of year). I hope you are able to keep churning out these videos (and put in the miles) - stay healthy - Ron
Your videos are inspiring me to start moving again - and in a fun way. I’m back on the treadmill with your videos up on the iPad and I feel like I am running through Disney with so many like-minded Disney friends. I can see a virtual Disney run app guided by you one day. You make it so much fun, thank you.
Rez, I've been watching your videos non-stop for about two months now and I wanted to tell you how inspirational I've found them. My favorite, by far, is when you took Coach for a swim during your Goofy training. I'm someone who has never been a runner but has lost a substantial amount of weight in the last two years. It's actually your Star Wars 2018 videos that thrust me into this endeavor. While I can't fit the Star Wars half into my calendar this year, it's already penciled in for 2020. I'll have to settle for a couple of halfs in my neck of the woods this summer; first one at the end of May. While you don't know me from Adam, I feel like I've gotten to know you over these last couple of weeks. I live in Southwestern Kansas; with blizzards, wind gusting to sixty, and temperatures never crawling out of the teens, I've done a substantial amount of time inside on a treadmill. And I can't help but notice you haven't posted anything new for a few months. I just wanted to reach out to someone who I feel has become a bit of a running buddy, even if one sided, and wish you well. I hope all is going great for you. Thank you for all you've done for me through sharing your life on this platform. LAS
Nice to see another great video. I liked your comment about stopping for characters and not knowing who they are. I have always said they need to post a sign or put the "line up" in the program.
Great video Gerald! I am seriously considering the Paris Run Disney races for next year. Watching your experiences makes me even more excited to go run it for myself. Thank you again for putting together such high quality race recaps for the rest of us to get a small glimpse into your amazing race experience! It makes me almost want to try to make a video, but I would rather run with you as I know I could never create the quality you deliver to TH-cam. I hope I run into you in January.
Gerald~ This was so amazing to watch. I love re-living the race again when I watch your shows!!! We had such a great magic weekend- So MAGICAL!!! Thank you for your hours of work on this recap. It was wonderful and so was spending so much time with you in France!! Big hug and Love to you!! Your friend~ Jennalyn
Miss these videos! I ran the princess half marathon this past weekend and LOVED it. Thanks for all the inspiration. Gonna do a rewatch of your training videos. Gotta get a new proof of time. :)
Watching this just reminds me how amazing the experience was (I was dressed as KH2 Sora). I hope I can do it again next year. Also the Maui that runs past at 6:51 was the nicest guy. I set my pace with him towards the end of the 10k and had a chat.
I am so glad you video these races. With my vision, I miss a lot of the side action. You are helping both of us with these videos! I can’t thank you enough Gerald! ❤️❤️. There were many things on this video I did not see. I so want to return to Disneyland Paris in 2020! Some of the Best courses I have run! Probably in the top 5 half marathon courses I have run! Looking forward to the half marathon video! Keep up the awesome work and thanks for the French lessons in the video!
Thank you for this. I was near you after king louis and ended up spotting myself a few times in your video - was the one with her arm in a sling. Looking forward to wine and dine 2019
Now, you know I'm visually impaired... and I've seen this video hundreds of times (editing Ugh!) ... I have to go back and look for King Louis and the runner with her arm in a sling. LOL Impressive my friend. Congratulations. I'm working on the Paris Half right now... hopefully, *fingers crossed .. I can get something from Wine & Dine before Marathon Weekend.. but no promises.
Loved seeing your experience with the 10k. I think you may have asked me about the villain off camera, but I think I would've said Hades (followed closely by Ursula), just because he is super sarcastic. I find him very entertaining :). Great job, as always.
Thanks Meredith .. Kurt and I weren't with anyone for very long ... my odd "video" pacing. LOL You know I would have put YOU in if I had gotten you on cam. That's why I included the pic of you and Joyful with the character I knew nothing about. :P I think we lost everyone right after the Robin Hood/Sheriff line.
RezRuns ah yes, the video pacing. I understand. Haha! I know I asked Jen during the 5k, so maybe I had an answer ready in my head if she asked me back. I prepared her for when you asked haha! The Bowler Hat Guy...I think I was the only one who knew who that was. Newer movie. I saw the Lumiere guy in that line. I caught up with the girls right after that. I wish I had snagged the Sheriff in either this one or the half, but got them on video!
I'm getting there Jeremy ... I've hit a bit of a "mental" wall too. Physically I can do it... just ran 4+ at 10 min/mi after 4 weeks down... I hope I can quickly get up to about 11 before Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
Gerald that’s great news just remember you’re an inspiration to allot of us. My son is all about doing a 5k since meeting you at the wine and dine and I’m hoping it will be soon that we do it. I’ve get the mental block sometimes it’s just a matter of simplifying things and taking a walk down memory lane about why you started running in the first place.
Is everything okay, Gerald? I miss you. I enjoy every video and I hope you are training for the Disneyland Paris challenge coming fall. Hope to see you there! And hope to learn you are okay and maybe even see a new video. Big huggs from the Netherlands 🤗🤗🤗
Another great video! Have to start planning a Castle to Chateau trip! It looks like so much fun! It was nice to meet you at Wine and Dine, we absolutely love your videos, they are so motivating!
OMG. Thank you Doris. The feeling is mutual. Glad to keep you motivated... I need a bit myself as of late ... so, I totally get it. Don't think all of Wine & Dine will be up before Marathon Weekend... but I guess it's something to look forward to seeing... See you again soon.
I totally know how you feel... not my first, but my first trip and run in Europe... so a big deal for me too! Congratulations. You'll never forget your first.
Hi Gerald. My name is Russell. My fiancée Ellen and I discovered your videos a few months ago and we really enjoy them. I don't know if you'll see this in time but we are fellow Disney runners and anticipate being at the meetup for the upcoming 2019 marathon weekend, hope to see you there!
The daddy does it again! Brilliant video - stunning on my quite large TV! Great choice of music. What is that very blue- lit part of the run called and is it inside a building? Main Street looked fantastic. ...and once again you are a babe magnet...hey, a new hero for a Disney film. You can 🌟 as Babe- Magnet Man!
LMAO ... I always get a kick out of your comments. I'll have to boot it up n the big TV. You know .. I honestly don't know what that building is at Walt Disney Studios. We spent so little time in the parks before coming over to the UK. Looks like they may have some food and merch in there... it did make for a pretty cool run every day.
Love your videos! They are so inspiring! I’m training to do my first race this summer and was curious as to what app you use on your phone to track your running?
Awesome video! I just ran the Disney half marathon this past weekend. I plan to start training for the dopey challenge this upcoming year. What pace do you normally run at during these runs?
Thanks for using my version of ‘Go The Distance’. It’s genuinely nice to see someone using a track I’ve made for something great - appreciate you linking my video too. Cheers
That villain you didn't know was Bowler Hat Guy from one of my favorite Disney films (and much overlooked) Meet The Robinsons.

Oh and I forgot the main point of my comment above: THANK YOU for these videos!!

Your videos played a pretty significant roll in me signing up for my first run at Wine and Dine! Will you be at marathon weekend??
Sorry, just saw a comment saying you’d be there. I’ll specify by asking which runs, lol?
