I like that Kenshin is self assured that the men he fought outside the Dojo aren't getting up any time soon so he doesn't even look behind himself as he approached the entrance to the Dojo. He also is so calm and so comfortable with his ability that he respectfully pauses, removes his shoes, and bows before entering. That honorable, respectful, peaceful gesture in an of itself, had I been a villain already in the Dojo even with my own posse of fellow thugs, would have made me pee myself. All these fight scenes are choreographed artfully and performed beautifully.
now this is a well detailed observation, Takeru sato should be any of Giyu, zenitsu and rengoku and kokushibo if there is a live adaptation to DS one day

His attackers were also very respectful. They all scream before charging to give him a fair warning

best live action adaptation hands down imo, I cant think of any other that come close to these movies
The thing that always blows my mind about this is that Kenshin is so good that for most of the scene he doesn't even bother to draw his sword, because he doesn't need it; when he finally does, it actually comes as a shock, and adds weight to his words.
Those guy lucky is kenshin is the weakest generation of his sword style and is the gentlest
If this thing happen in front of his master or other generation, most of them will be dead quickly

the author of the original manga said he regretted not having kenshin fight more with his fists in the manga, since a great swordsman like him would know a bit of martial arts and on many occasions must have fought without his sword in the revolution.

ぶっちゃけ、絡みが上手ければある程度は成立する
もちろん芯（主役）の動きも見栄えが良くないとこの映画の域には到達しないけどね
手を交差しての白刃取りは、原作の神谷活心流の奥義刃渡りだったりする
ジャンプ作品の中でも唯一、成功を納めた実写映画😂🎉

The Aikido used here is gorgeous. Despite being so fast, it is properly and powerfully executed. It's a great display of what can be done with an art designed to defend without causing great harm.
i love how the guy at 2:24 is sent flying by sheer strength and screaming like a madman, is just hilarious
보통 애니를 영화화하면 표현에 제약이 있어서 애니를 넘지 못하는데 이건 진짜 애니보다 더 박진감 넘쳐
I don't know how feasible this would be in reality, but still. This is a well choreographed and filmed scene, and if Kenshin is really that crazy skilled in canon, then a roomful of untrained thugs like this is child's play.

How awesome, finally draws his sword only to utter the most badass words of all, "that if it wasn't for this sword, many of you would be dead now/.." Meaning it doesn't have the regular cutting blade....whoa..!!!
Yeah. It's a Reverse-Blade Sword designed for defense only. It can only harm the one wielding it.
I thought it made little sense. He never used the sword till then, so even if it had been a regular blade, they would still be alive. I feel like something got lost in translation there it was actually an error in the dialogue.

@@Vyndoriel "It can only harm the one wielding it" you talking like the handle is a blade. He can beat them up with the blunt edge, and he can switch it around to cut them as well. There's no need to hurt himself with it, there are double edged swords you know, where neither edge is meant to hurt the user.
@@eufrosniad994 The line is "こんな刀でない限り、確実に人を斬殺する" which would pretty accurately translate to "if not for a sword like this, someone would surely get killed" , which has pretty much the same vibe as what they translated as.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'like this,' but if you're referring to manga/anime to live-action movies, then there are actually quite a few. There's Death Note, Kingdom, Golden Kamuy, Erased, Bleach, and yeah, there are still a lot more.

In the animation, Kenshin is lethal with a sword but not hand to hand combat...but here....with or without his Sakabato...he's dangerous.

@IamtheMan1111Also different Era as Assassin's Creed Shadow take place at the final years of the Sengoku period while Himura Kenshin take place in the Meiji Period where samurai's are very rare and Japan is no longer isolated. Also swords are banned from being carried in public, but you can have them at home as collector piece.
