I received my V3 a week ago(my 6th Zelos purchase). Slamming it down and adding the wonderfully articulating engineer style bracelet is a winning combination. I had the V2 And it’s the only Zelos watch that I flipped. This one sits atop the wrist perfectly as the weight is balanced now. This one’s a keeper! Thanks For the review!

Sweet!!! That orange definitely flew off the shelf! And, I don't blame you, Seiko does a darn good orange dial. Their matte sherbet orange (like on the Samurai and others) is probably my favorite orange dial. Cheers
The Hammerhead is one that really walks the line between large and "normal". The case is chunky giving it a large watch feel, but the dial, bezel, lug to lug, etc. make it seem smaller than the case would suggest. This makes it wear well on most wrists, just coming down to preference. It's a model I didn't expect to like but really do. Cheers
Great video, thanks! I picked up a Crimson Red after watching this video on launch day...Then I got a MOP just now. I need to cancel one of the orders. I think the Crimson Red would look good on a tropic strap (to match the edge of fume dial & black ceramic bezel insert). While the MOP would look best leaving it on the bracelet (to match the silver steel bezel). Thoughts on which one to keep?

My personal pick would be easy, as I don't use MOP, but that's not regarding the appearance. I think either would/could be strap versatile (I love the Helm Canvas Straps for the Hammerhead). I'd like either on the grey or khaki version. The bracelet is very solid as well. Maybe decided based on your overall collection if neither calls to you more than the other. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews I'm not usually a bracelet kinda guy but this one looks nice & no sharp logo on the clasp! That's my only complaint with the bracelet of the Skyraider v2 skeleton dial I also have. I have a spare Zelos tropic strap so it'll be put to good use either way.
Same here. I generally prefer lighter watches and less items to wear it so often opt for straps (both of my Skyraiders wear straps too). However, I'll probably leave the HH3 on bracelet at least for a while. It's well balanced and looks good on the watch IMO.
As a die-hard Hammerhead II fan, I first scoffed at the reduced WR. However, there are some pros. The caseback art and workmanship has definitely improved, as you say. I actually like the hands in this version. Perhaps the lines on HH II were a bit too much? Another thing. One should not underestimate the Zelos rubber straps! I recently purchased a Citizen Promaster Marine Divers 200 - BN0190-15E and the rubber strap on that one is of inferior quality compared to Zelos. It pinches, Zelos does not. It can be a struggle to slide, Zelos glides effortlessly into place. The only downside(not really a downside) to the Hammerhead series, especially if you're a bronze freak like me, is that other watches seem so puny in terms of weight😂. Wear a bronze Hammerhead II for a day and switch to another watch at night is like switching from Schwarzenegger to a hobbit.
I'm right there with you! I honestly wrote this one off initially for the same reason. I didn't see the HH2 being improved. While I think opinions will be split on the dial/hardware aesthetics of the two, there's no denying this is a step forward overall. The finishing touches (LOVE the case back and clasp), more versatile form factor, etc. all while feeling 100% like a Hammerhead make it a huge success. The hardware really grew on me too and I'm torn on which I prefer (I think it's nice having both). I also agree about the Zelos straps (and bracelets). Great quality, especially at the price points. Stay tuned for the HH2 vs HH3 video in a couple days. You may find that one interesting as well. Cheers

The lume is seriously bonkers bright. I left the footage a bit overexposed intentionally, as correcting lost the in person impact. Even by Zelos standards (and owning multiple Frost models), this thing is BRIGHT! Cheers

Wats d crystal size / watch face of hh3 ?coz that matter lot inspite being big watch . I have 6.25 inch wrist so worried to buy this. Also Is it top heavy like Seiko divers ? I had monster in past and even on strap it was very uncomfortable so sold it.. hh always get compair in size with Seiko turtle .. but never bought single turtle due to top heavy feel and it's big face .
The dial size is smaller than typical for the case size, making the watch seem smaller than the case dimensions. My wrist is ~6.5" as a reference. I don't find it to be top heavy on the bracelet but it is on a strap, though still very wearable IMO. Cheers
My wrist too are 6.25 to 6.4 (need to measure accurately) and I wear breitling chronomat 42. Its as heavy and big as this one. Shud not be much of an issue.

I'm actually really happy with the date wheel choice. In person, it blends seamlessly with the dark fume/gradient. Some past color matched wheels have blended too much with the center and were too bright for my taste. It's probably an illusion, but this one almost takes on a burnt deep crimson black to my eye. When they release/launch new watches, they are pre-sale just before production is finished. This results in a little bit of a wait for shipping but the watches are discounted typically $100 or more. They also often beat the shipping estimate. Either way, it's well worth it in my opinion, especially since they frequently sell out very quickly. Cheers
I know you won't be alone in feeling that way. It was my immediate impression in pics and, to a lesser extent, in person as well. They did grow on me a lot over the last few weeks. The legibility it stellar and the style is still unique. I talk about them a fair amount in the second video that will be published in a couple days. I'm still probably in the HH2 hands camp but have come around to the HH3 as well, and really like the total package. In the end, I'm glad to have the option of having each in the collection, as they're similar but still quite different. Cheers
You might be pleasantly surprised with the size. While it still won't be for everyone, I know I was when I got the HH2. It's still chunky but wears much better than I expected. That's even more true with the HH3. Cheers
Definitely fair and you won't be alone. They're pretty radically different in the dial. The gap narrowed for me, as I really appreciate the elegant simplicity of the HH3, but I still probably prefer the dial of the HH2 as well. I'm happy to have both options available though. Cheers

When they release/launch new watches, they are pre-sale just before production is finished. This results in a little bit of a wait for shipping but the watches are discounted typically $100 or more. They also often beat the shipping estimate. Either way, it's well worth it in my opinion, especially since they frequently sell out very quickly. Cheers

I know you won't be alone in feeling that way. It was my immediate impression in pics and, to a lesser extent, in person as well. They did grow on me a lot over the last few weeks. The legibility it stellar and the style is still unique. I talk about them a fair amount in the second video that will be published in a couple days. I'm still probably in the HH2 hands camp but have come around to the HH3 as well, and really like the total package. In the end, I'm glad to have the option of having each in the collection, as they're similar but still quite different. Cheers

You might be pleasantly surprised with the size. While it still won't be for everyone, I know I was when I got the HH2. It's still chunky but wears much better than I expected. That's even more true with the HH3. Cheers

HH2 looks better in my opinion.
Definitely fair and you won't be alone. They're pretty radically different in the dial. The gap narrowed for me, as I really appreciate the elegant simplicity of the HH3, but I still probably prefer the dial of the HH2 as well. I'm happy to have both options available though. Cheers
